ActionSpace, the sector-leading charity working with learning disabled artists across London is seeking an exceptional individual to join the team as Pastoral Care Co-ordinator.
The Pastoral Care Co-ordinator ensures all artists and project participants are able to maximise the benefits of participating in ActionSpace activities and supports them in realising their personal potential by ensuring accessibility and co-ordinating support needs.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience of working with learning disabled adults, particularly those with high support needs, and experience of developing and implementing access and behaviour support plans. They will have a comprehensive working knowledge of the needs and rights of learning disabled people, the relevant statutory authorities, legislation and public policy around accessibility and social care, be committed toworking in an anti-discriminatory way, with a positive view of learning disabled people. They will enjoy working as part of a team but also be able to work independently, managing their own workload.

Role Overview:
As the Operations Manager at WeSwim, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our programs and services. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our regional WeSwim program, managing a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our impact and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:

Program Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of WeSwim's swimming sessions and events, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Director to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve WeSwim's goals and objectives.

Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pool facilities, community partners, and funders, to support the expansion and sustainability of WeSwim's programs.

Financial Management: Contribute to budget planning and management, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish performance metrics and monitoring systems to track the impact and effectiveness of WeSwim's programs, and provide regular reports and updates to the board of trustees and other stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Administration
- General office and administrative duties to ensure effective service delivery
- Providing phone and email cover for the office
- Work with the various delivery teams to ensure effective inputting and collation of information and data with regular use of Excel, Word, bespoke databases and booking systems
- Regularly contact service users by telephone and email to help identify needs and signpost appropriately
- Prepare and dispatch information packs/activity programmes
- Monitor/order office stationery and equipment
- Maintain any paper records, cloud/server-based documents, filing and archiving etc
Programme Development & Delivery
- Working with the various teams to support the planning and coordination of events and fundraising
Health & Safety
- Promote safeguarding and the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults, contributing to InterAct’s safeguarding processes and staff responsibilities
- Adhere to organisational and service-specific policies, procedures and guidelines
General

We are currently seeking a Project Support Officer to take responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of youth club activities within the Mid Essex area including Chelmsford, Maldon and across the Dengie peninsular. The role will involve working closely with the Young People Services Manager with the development and delivery of activities in the Mid and North areas of Essex.
This fantastic opportunity will enable you to work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team, delivering an important service across Essex whilst also providing you with development and training opportunities as we work with you to help further your career.
