What You'll Be Doing:
- Engaging with mid-value major donors and small trusts and foundations to secure crucial funding, ensuring the successful achievement of personal and team income targets.
- Managing and nurturing existing donor relationships, providing exceptional stewardship and ensuring continued support.
- Leading the development and implementation of a robust Prospect Research strategy to identify potential funders and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Playing a key role in cultivating and stewarding prospective donors, fostering meaningful relationships and driving income growth for the team.
- Collaborating with operational colleagues to develop compelling cases for support and inform fundraising strategies.

Goodman Masson are thrilled to be working in collaboration with a London based charity that does so much incredible work to support parents and carers that are looking after disabled children. They do this by advocating for policy changes and campaign tirelessly to ensure that decision-makers address the inequalities experienced by families with disabled children. This amazing organisation are entering a period of exciting change and are searching for Head of HR on a permanent basis to head up their dynamic HR team and bring their performance and capacity to the next level. This role within this incredible charity is very suitable for those with experience in the not-for-profit sector.
This is a hybrid role, and only requiring a minimum of one day a week in their main office which is a short walk from Old Street Station (National Rail) and Angel Station (London Underground). This position will be reporting directly to Director of Finance and Resources and the main responsibilities for Head of HR are:
- Deliver fit-for-purpose HR services, including people management strategies, performance development, and employment relations advice.
- Act as a proactive business partner, offering support and guidance to key stakeholders such as line managers, team heads, and the senior management team.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance & Resources to enhance internal HR policies and systems for effective organisational functioning.
- Lead the development and implementation of the future people strategy in alignment with Contact's broader strategy and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Manage two direct reports, oversee relationships with external partners, and ensure efficient HR and resource support services for Contact.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience as a primary resource for all HR policy matters throughout an organisation.
- Possession of a professional HR qualification, minimally CIPD Level 5 (Associate) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in organising and prioritising dynamic workloads for optimal operational outcomes.
- Skilled in conducting difficult conversations, conflict resolution, and fostering compassionate communication.
- Qualification/experience in project management

Camphill is a worldwide movement with over 100 independent charities (often referred to as 'communities') supporting individuals with additional support needs to lead meaningful lives and to reach their fullest potential. The organisation began here, in Scotland, in 1939 through a group of Austrian refugees. They sought societal change in the way disadvantaged and vulnerable people were treated and cared for.
There are 11 Camphill charities in Scotland, from Aberdeen to Dumfries and Galloway, supporting over 500 people from early childhood through to older age. In Aberdeen, Camphill Estates owns the land occupied by 6 of them. They are independent charities but work together under the Camphill Estates umbrella for the common good.
Historically, Camphill Estates had one Fundraising Manager to generate voluntary raised funds and to support all of the communities to fundraise for themselves. This all changed three years ago when this new post was created, representing a sea change in the organisation’s thinking.
It followed a master plan which was drawn up with the help of consultants who reviewed the needs of the estate. This process produced a lengthy list of capital build projects for 5 of the 6 charities that are necessary to improve the buildings and the opportunities for the service users. The cost of delivering those projects was an estimated £15million with the focus on improvements to Camphill School and the residential units.
A highly experience fundraiser was appointed to create and lead the capital campaign to raise the required £15m funding, within a ten-year period. Three years on, the campaign has met with great success - £4.5m has been raised already. They also built a very strong and focussed fundraising team of five, raised the profile of the campaign in the local area and built strong working relationships with all the five partner charities.
Sadly, the current capital appeal fundraiser is moving on from Camphill Estates to live overseas, and Camphill Estates are looking for a new senior fundraiser to lead the appeal and carry on the good work. In the three years since the appeal was launched, further capital requirements have emerged, and a new charity (Murtle Market) has been created. The appeal total has therefore been reset at £15m and again, ten years has been set as the timescale.
The Board has set aside a healthy budget which allows the Director of Fundraising to build a team to deliver success. It will be up to the Director to devise a strategy and manage the team of five fundraisers to reach the new income goal.
Crucially, Board do not see this appeal as an end in itself. Such a varied and evolving group of charities will always have a capital fundraising requirement and are therefore happy to offer this role as a permanent position, not linked to the current appeal target or length.

This is a permanent, full-time role, paying a salary of £36,563 per annum. This is a homebased position covering the North of England focusing on their key areas in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.
The Community Fundraising Manager will identify and build long term relationships with key regional contacts in the North - local businesses, organisations and individuals - to encourage financial and long term support for Sense within the region. You will work with the Senior Community Fundraising Manager to lead on the implementation and delivery on the community fundraising strategy in order to generate net income.
Sense are looking for someone with understanding of Community based fundraising trends. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of recruiting, supporting and stewarding fundraisers or volunteers along with demonstrable experience of building successful internal and external relationships.
