About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
CoppaFeel! is looking for a Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager to oversee the production of high-quality health information and resources and lead on CoppaFeel!’s healthcare engagement work.
The Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager will sit within the CoppaFeel! Education Department and will work closely with the Head of Services and Health Information & Services Manager.
The Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager will be responsible for leading our work in the health engagement space. They will play a key role in supporting the strategic direction of this work and provide insight and sector knowledge to support decision making within the leadership team. This will involve building strong relationships with clinicians and healthcare stakeholders, enhancing CoppaFeel!’s role in the healthcare sector.
The Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager will have oversight of the production of our health information and resource portfolio. This role ensures that all health resources are accessible, impactful, and trusted, meeting the highest standards, including those required by the Patient Information Forum Tick Accreditation.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will also be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

The Gurkha Welfare Trust provides vital support to Gurkha veterans, their families and communities in Nepal. This role’s primary responsibilities will be as follows:

The Role (and why it matters) This isn’t just about writing bids behind a desk. It’s about being a visible, energetic advocate for The Shewsy. You will champion our work face-to-face, engaging our local Everton community while nurturing our historic, vital ties with Shrewsbury School and the Old Salopian network. You will balance persuasive in-person communication with high-quality grant writing to unlock new opportunities and bring ideas to life.
What you’ll be doing
Building Relationships & Community Engagement
Actively network and build face-to-face relationships with local businesses, community members, and potential corporate partners.
Nurture and expand our vital relationship with the Shrewsbury School community and Old Salopians to encourage legacy giving, regular donations, and matched-giving support.
Champion and support community fundraising events and campaigns, including our highly successful Big Give Christmas Challenge.
Securing Grant Funding
Build and manage a £200,000+ annual funding pipeline by researching and applying for grants from trusts and foundations.
Write high-quality, compelling, and tailored funding applications.
Maintain a live pipeline of funders, tracking applications, success rates, and deadlines.
Telling Our Story Powerfully
Turn powerful frontline youth work into compelling narratives for both written bids and in-person presentations.
Work with staff to capture impact, stories, and data to strengthen how we evidence our outcomes.
What success looks like (Year 1)
Strong, active relationships established with the Shrewsbury School community, Old Salopians, and local Everton stakeholders.
A £200k+ funding pipeline established and actively managed.
Consistent monthly/quarterly bid submissions balancing quick wins with strategic applications.
Increased repeat funding, multi-year grants, and diversified community income.
Who we’re looking for You might already be a community fundraiser, a bid writer looking to step out from behind the screen, or someone ready to step up.
Essential
Exceptional in-person communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences from local residents to major donors.
Experience writing successful grant applications in the charity sector.
A track record of securing funding from trusts, foundations, or major donors.
Highly organised, able to balance desk-based bid writing with out-and-about relationship building.
Ability to work independently and make things happen.
Desirable
Experience in youth, community, or social impact organisations.
Knowledge of the Liverpool funding landscape.
Experience with community campaigns or matched-funding appeals (e.g., the Big Give).

We are looking for a College Alumni Relations Manager to join our team to refine and expand a bold and innovative alumni volunteering programme to support both the priorities of the College of Medicine and Health and DARO. As a DARO business partner for the College, you will be based both within DARO and the College itself. You will join nine other volunteering professionals as part of the wider team and will be responsible for developing a range of volunteering opportunities for alumni, which support the College’s key priorities, and Birmingham 2030 targets, across a diversified curriculum, the student experience, graduate employability, student recruitment, research and influence. You will be responsible for growing the number of alumni volunteers for the College, reporting on the impact of your work internally and the relationship management of a number of key alumni contacts, with a clear focus on supporting international recruitment for the College. You will work with colleagues across DARO to bring alumni closer to the University to support Philanthropic giving.

Development and Alumni Relations Office
The Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO) exists to support this academic and student community by engaging, inspiring, and celebrating alumni, individuals, and charitable funders who give their money, time, and networks to support the University’s strategic priorities. The Office, which comprises over 50 staff across four teams, is focused on fundraising and volunteering from alumni and individuals who are passionate about changing lives, through funding various research initiatives, supporting student scholarships, mentoring students, and providing internships. The recent launch of the hugely ambitious Birmingham In Action campaign frames these efforts, as we seek to secure one million volunteering hours from our students, staff and alumni and raise £400 million in support of institutional priorities.
