An established professional membership body is looking for a qualified and motivated Financial Accounting Analyst to join its finance team. This is a broad and technical role, ideal for someone with a background in audit and charity finance, looking to take the next step in their career.

Working closely with the Head of Financial Control, you’ll lead on financial compliance and reporting across taxable trading, research grants, subscription and exam fee income, and subsidiary accounts. You’ll also oversee accounts payable operations and support year-end reporting.

Purpose:

Established in 2014, the National Counter Trafficking Centre runs several programmes across England and Wales. One of these is the Independent Child Trafficking Guardianship Service (ICTG) as outlined in Section 48 of The Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Support for Children:

Independent Child Trafficking Guardians support children who have experienced trafficking and exploitation, working alongside other professionals to ensure that children receive appropriate support in line with their needs.

Within this role you will:

• Support young people through short term pieces of work, for example groupwork and transition out of the service
• Work alongside ICTG's to deliver trips and activities for young people
• Support young people to engage with participation activities both within NCTC and as delivered by partner organisations
• Maintain up to date and accurate recordings on the children's electronic files.
• Identify and respond to safeguarding, alerting managers to concerns and completing actions as required
• Where appropriate contribute to national awareness raising sessions

What we can offer you:

We are looking for a new Office Manager to organise and coordinate administration duties and office procedures in the charity. Purpose

The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. Main Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:

1. Project Support

• Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
• Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
• Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
• Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
• Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
• Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
• Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
• Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Senior Project Manager of any potential risks
• Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers

2. Project Financial Management

• Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Senior Programme Manager
• Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts.
• Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
• Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools.

3. Organisational Support and Business Development

• Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
• Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects
• Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
• Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
• Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested

The role

We’re seeking a Research Officer to join our fantastic Research team following an internal promotion within the team.

• You will be ensuring that the management of funding rounds is robust, coordinated, and delivered to the highest possible quality, and that the funding rounds we offer address key needs of the research and patient community.

We support young people to get the most out of their education by helping them to improve their mental health and wellbeing and develop their skills. We inspire young people who are at significant risk of school exclusion to re-engage and fulfil their potential at school, at work and in life.

We have been commissioned by the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit to deliver the Another Chance programme in the City of Manchester and North Trafford, supporting young people aged 14-25 involved in group-based serious violent offending to leave a life of violent crime behind them. We are now recruiting Programme Leads to provide 1:1 mentoring support to these young people and to help them access positive support and social services to prevent further offending.

We are particularly looking for people with experience of working with young people aged 14-25 at risk of criminal involvement and exploitation, and their families.

The Role:

You will be joining at an important time for our team, covering a crucial role in ensuring accurate income processing, reporting, and financial management across the organisation. To succeed in this role, you will have strong financial processing experience, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You should be comfortable working with financial systems and software, with the ability to efficiently manage data, generate reports, and ensure accurate income tracking.

Hillside is looking for a part time Caseworker to join the Mental Health Recovery Team which supports Islington residents with:

• Person-centred, coproduced and trauma informed recovery-focused interventions.

A well known local charity VASA is a small charity (turnover £350k) supporting 4,000 people across Rugby, Solihull East and South Warwickshire with community activities, dementia services and our community transport service.

Following the decision of our long serving Charity Manager to move on to pastures new, we are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Interim Charity Manager for an inital period of 6 months with the potential to be extended dependant subject to results and funding. The Interim will lead the charity forward building on relationships, strategy and partnerships fostered by our outgoing CM. 

Our volunteer-led services have grown in the last decade to meet the growing needs of our community thanks to our dedicated volunteers and a forward thinking Board of Trustees and ambitious strategic plan.

The interim postholder will be expected to continue on from the work of the outgoing CM and undertake an indepth review of the business, working with the trustees on the next phase of our strategic plan and look for a bold funding and operating strategy.

To continue our good work and move VASA forward the apointee will be expected to:

• Identify growth opportunities for this service either geographically and/or by expanding the types of service offerings and ensure this is staffed to enable maximum growth.
• Maximise the newly installed transport support software to ensure that VASA is obtaining optimum benefit from it.
• Seek opportunities for expanding the dementia day services offering and the number of clients served.

As external grant funding is vital for VASA the appointee will be expected to:

• Work with the local authorities currently providing grant funding with the pupose of:
  • Making clear the value of the services VASA provides.
  • Securing, and if possible, increase the current level of funding.
• Seek other funding opportunities.

As financial security and governance is paramount to the charity the appointee must:

• Ensure full compliance (Charities Commission and Companies House).
