This is a huge ambition that will need us to grow the money we raise significantly over the next 5 years. Major Giving is a crucial income stream for Tŷ Hafan and as Major Giving Fundraising Officer, you will be integral to supporting income growth.
In the role, you will support the Head of Fundraising and Director of Income Generation to develop and deliver the major giving programme and will support the management of major donors and potential major donors, making sure that they receive the best possible experience as a Tŷ Hafan supporter.
You’ll coordinate major donor plans, support the organisation of key events, prepare and deliver tailored communications and personally manage some donor relationships.
If you have experience of building relationships with and managing supporters, as well as experience of managing projects and events within agreed timescales and budgets, and have excellent communication and organisational skills, we would love to here from you.

To manage and develop the b inspired Neighbourhood Support Service in Braunstone, ensuring that business plan targets are achieved and positive community impact is delivered.
Responsible for operational management of the staff team, volunteers and site. Oversee and develop partnership working arrangements with other agencies and providers, to enhance the offer to local residents. Ensuring resident engagement and consultation is a priority and contributes to the Neighbourhood Management arrangements.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
1. Provide strong leadership (lead by example) ensuring that “front-line” staff are well-motivated and aspire to excellence in service provision.
2. Provide day-to-day management and supervision of service-based Co-ordinaters and other support staff, ensuring business plan targets are achieved.
3. Recruit, select, train (product, systems and procedures), coach, motivate, supervise and appraise staff in order to meet the Neighbourhood Support Business Plan targets.
4. Analyse the training needs of staff, identifying skill sets and the need for development where appropriate. Work with the HR Officer to ensure training is relevant and conducted in a structured manner as part of a personal development plan.
5. Plan and arrange staff work patterns, in conjunction with Service Co-ordinators, ensuring that annual leave and flexi-leave arrangements meet the needs of the service.
6. Ensure that team members maintain accurate, comprehensive and current records via the company management information system
7. Lead the development of a robust Volunteer Strategy.
Direct Services & Project Management:
8. Plan new projects in collaboration with senior management.
9. Source and respond to funding opportunities (grants, donations, contracts) – completing applications and tenders with associated budgets.
10. Create work plans which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully deliver and complete projects.
11. Control projects and write reports for management and for funders
12. Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements and contracts.
13. Prepare financial, monitoring and evaluation reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements and contracts.
14. Ensure that maintenance schedules for the neighbourhood Support Base are adhered to and that an efficient and cost effective method of repair and replacement is in place, to keep the housekeeping standards at a high level.
15. Supported by the Head of Operations, maintain operational policies and procedures and ensure that day to day health and safety standards are maintained in line with legislation.
Financial Management:
16. Ensure that the Neighbourhood Support Service and associated projects remains cost effective by ensuring expenditure is contained within agreed budgets. Tracking expenditure and reducing or eliminating unnecessary costs while maintaining quality.
17. Ensure Service Co-ordinaters fully understand and adopt financial systems and that adequate records are in place to exercise budgetary control.
18. Regularly report progress against the Business Plan targets and budgetary information to the Chief Officer for reporting through to the Board.
19. Supported by Head of Operations, create annual budgets and Business Plans for the service and projects in line with the company planning cycles.
Neighbourhood Development & Resident Engagement:
20. Promote and develop good relationships with local service providers and delivery partners - helping them to be responsive and sensitive to local needs.
21. Oversee the maintenance and promotion of the Braunstone Neighbourhood Management Board.
22. Co-ordinate and organise local surveys and consultations in the Braunstone area and collate/ analyse the findings for dissemination.
23. Oversee the creation of the bi-annual Braunstone Neighbourhood Action Plan.
General Duties:
24. Carry out work in such a way as to promote the Company’s wider aims, objectives and agreed policies.

About You
You will have:
- Understanding of health and social care policy and related public policy developments in the UK
- Understanding of how policy decisions are influenced and made
- Knowledge and experience of research and analysis relevant to health policy. This might include synthesising different kinds of evidence, carrying out interviews, or analysing data
- Familiarity with and understanding of the core principles of both quantitative and qualitative research including strengths and limitations of different approaches and their use in different contexts
- Evidence of being able to produce high quality written work for a range of audiences
- Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, collaborators or partners
- An interest in healthcare quality and person centred care
- Ability to analyse complex policy issues, assess their implications for Picker and our beneficiaries, and provide evidence-based recommendations
- Excellent project management skills with a track record in undertaking and managing policy and/or research projects

We have an opportunity to lead our Health & Wellbeing Team as part of a job share working in collaboration with another senior manager.
You will manage, develop and market Hospital Discharge and Health & Wellbeing Services in Bromley and Greenwich and work in partnership with other providers. You will be responsible for all Hospital Discharge services and work closely with the Hospital as well as be an active member of the Senior Management team.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· To have oversight of the monthly and quarterly reports for the services
· The successful candidate will have responsibility for the following services:
o Take Home and Settle/ Hospital Aftercare Service
o Sitting Service
o Handy Person Service
o Frailty Care Navigator
o Long Term Health Conditions
· The work will include some on call responsibilities on evenings and weekends for the Hospital Discharge Services which an extra payment will be made.
· To work in partnership with other providers and health partners across both boroughs.
· To work within the Bromley Well partnership and maintain contact with BTSE
· To build a strong relationship with the hospitals and NHS staff
· To be responsible for health and wellbeing staff including undertaking supervision, guidance and support, allocation and monitoring of work plans, annual appraisals, identification of training needs and participation in the recruitment of staff.
· To work with the Chief Executive to devise and implement a marketing / publicity strategy to promote primary and secondary interventions and other services for older people.
· To work in partnership with older people, volunteers, statutory, voluntary and other agencies to initiate and deliver a programme of healthy living and recreational activities which meet the needs and aspirations of older people in Bromley and Greenwich identifying and developing new initiatives and partners.
· To be responsible for ensuring that risk assessments are undertaken of premises, outreach venues, client’s homes and other measures for the provision of a safe environment ensuring that all legislative requirements are met.
· To ensure that evaluation and monitoring of service/project outcomes is implemented, enabling Age UK Bromley & Greenwich to demonstrate the effectiveness and impact of the service delivery.
· To establish and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, work colleagues, volunteers and partner organisations
· To work alongside the Chief Executive to undertake long-term strategic planning of primary and secondary care interventions and other health and wellbeing services.
· To work with older people and with other groups, organisations and agencies in the boroughs to identify potential areas for health, education and social activities that older people want to participate in, and identify funding sources to develop and deliver the new areas of work.
· To be creative and innovative in designing new opportunities and projects for people to get involved across the boroughs in the co-delivery of services.
· To work with diverse and/or hard to reach individuals / groups who are not involved in their community, in particular targeting people who are socially isolated.
· To keep your knowledge up to date with the health priorities and health commissioning strategies in both boroughs to ensure our services are ‘fit for purpose’ and can contribute to the current overarching outcomes agreed between the local Authorities and the ICB.
· To be familiar with the Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs) Health & Wellbeing Strategies and decisions agreed at the joint local authority and ICB & Wellbeing Boards.
