Job Summary

The Senior Partnership Officer will play a pivotal role in building, strengthening and diversifying Bipolar UK’s high‑value relationships, with a particular emphasis on corporate fundraising and identifying strategic, mutually beneficial collaborations that support the charity’s long‑term needs.

Working closely with the Strategic Partnership Manager, you will manage and grow our portfolio of major donors, corporate supporters, and strategic partners. You will provide exceptional stewardship, ensuring partners feel valued, engaged, and inspired to deepen their relationship with us.

A key part of the role will involve proactively identifying and cultivating new corporate prospects, developing compelling propositions, crafting funding proposals, and pitching confidently to decision‑makers at all levels. You will help implement robust cultivation plans and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation across all partnership activity.

You will also work collaboratively across the wider Fundraising Team - including with the Fundraising Officer - supporting campaigns, events, and individual giving where needed.

This is a home‑based position with travel required for meetings and events across the UK. Some evening or weekend work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Growing Corporate and Strategic Partnerships

• Drive the growth of corporate fundraising through proactive identification, research and cultivation of new corporate prospects.
• Develop innovative, mutually beneficial partnership opportunities, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Charity of the Year, sponsorships, staff fundraising, corporate challenge events, payroll giving and cause‑related marketing.
• Create compelling propositions tailored to corporate audiences.
• Lead and support pitches to secure long‑term, strategic and income‑generating partnerships.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Services, Communications) to co‑design new partnership concepts, projects or services that align with charity priorities.
• Support the development of partnership agreements and ensure expectations, deliverables and benefits are clearly defined.
• Work to a mutually agreed financial target and use the CRM to track and record relevant data to grow our donor pipeline.

2. Strengthening High‑Value Donor & Partner Stewardship

• Deliver excellent relationship management to major donors, corporate partners and strategic allies.
• Provide regular updates on impact and organisational achievements to deepen engagement.
• Organise meetings, briefings, events and engagement opportunities to showcase our work.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all interactions on Salesforce.
• Create tailored materials, proposals and events to support ongoing partnership activity.
• Represent Bipolar UK through presentations at corporate and partner events.
• Track performance and impact of partnerships, supporting continuous improvement.

3. Supporting Wider Fundraising

• Work collaboratively with the Fundraising Officer, SPM and wider team to maximise fundraising opportunities across all income streams.
• Provide hands‑on support for individual giving campaigns, events and community fundraising when needed.
• Contribute to team planning, cross‑team projects, and organisational initiatives.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in major donor fundraising, corporate fundraising or partnership development.
• Proven track record of generating new business at 5 and 6 figure levels - from prospecting through to securing partnerships.
• Experience working to, and achieving, income targets.
• Strong understanding of the corporate sector, CSR and corporate fundraising mechanisms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering pitches and proposals.
• Excellent project and time‑management skills.
• Understanding of ethical fundraising and GDPR compliance.
• Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office and quick to adopt new technologies.

Desirable:

• Experience within a mental health or health‑related charity.
• Understanding of bipolar gained through lived experience or supporting a friend or family member.

Afield is a brand new charity responding to environmental injustice. We do this by working with communities to rewild disadvantaged urban neighbourhoods; and by supporting artists to undertake ecological research. This exciting and demanding role will be right at the heart of making everything happen!

Objectives

You will work alongside Afield’s two co-founders to define and run the urban wilding and arts grants programmes, including managing the cohort of grantees. We are looking for dynamism, energy and experience of grant management to help us launch the first round of grants and a support programme.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the two co-founders you will set up the arts research and wilding programmes. This will include launching and running opencall and selection processes, and the cohort support programmes. Once established you will lead subsequent programmes, and plan for future cohorts. You will be:

• Feeding into the design of the arts & wilding programmes

• Taking responsibility for, and running, the arts grants grants and wilding programme (including involvement in the selection of grantees, continual learning and evaluation)

• Liaising with partners on programme delivery (eg. local councils for wilding)

• Managing selectors and mentors, supporting peer learning, and organising workshops for both programmes

• Taking responsibility for managing the cohorts

• Working with a second team member (to be recruited) to promote the programme

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is: 

• Empathetic, has a positive attitude and a desire to help our grantees

• Energetic with a can-do, self-sufficient attitude, and with the ability to independently manage a busy workload, multiple deadlines and priorities

• Confident in their ability whilst self-aware and committed to ongoing development

• Interested (and perhaps experienced) in nature, ecology or the environment

We would also like to work with someone who has:

• Experience of running a grants or funded cohort programme (ideally in either arts grants or a pioneer-style programme)

• Ability and comfort in creating structure out of ambiguity; identifying challenges and opportunities; and expressing clear proposals for change

• Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written

• Good analytical and project management skills, and strong competency in setting up and using technology such as an application management platform

• Experience of line management or managing contractors. This is not essential, as there will not initially be full line management responsibility, but would be a benefit.

Compensation and benefits

• 4 days per week role, for which the salary is £34,500 (FTE: £43,000)

• 21 company holiday days (increasing with the length of service) in addition to 8 bank holidays plus discretionary Christmas closure days each year

• 20 days fully paid company sick leave

About this role:

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Communications, the Policy and Communications Coordinator will support SIB’s track record of sector, government and media engagement, notably the high standard of publication set through its media partnerships with Tortoise and the Financial Times, its contributions to the policy landscape in the social sector, and its in-house data analysis and insight generation. This new post will contribute to SIB’s ongoing communications and public policy work and its reach and influence, building on a growing base of expertise across SIB’s three strategic priority areas: Green Transition, Infrastructure and Services.

Key responsibilities

1. Support the Head of Policy and Communications to deliver the Policy and Communications strategy for SIB.

2. Making use of media and parliamentary tracking software keep abreast of SIB’s strategic policy areas, sharing accessible updates and digests of relevant legislation and central and local government programming and media coverage.

3. Attend / watch online relevant parliamentary committees, All Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) and Commons and Lords sessions, capturing relevant outcomes and identifying MPs and Lords that SIB should seek to work with / influence.

4. Support the Head of Policy and Communications to identify a key parliamentary contacts list. Create tailored communications for these key contacts which share relevant statistics and case studies from SIB’s portfolio, alongside policy influencing lines. This will include drafting questions and briefings where relevant, and ensuring that regular contact is maintained. 

5. Support the drafting of consultation responses and press releases using SIB’s core messaging, reporting, research and data.

6. Support SIB’s annual party conference attendance with coordination and administration in advance and in person.

7. Support the Head of Policy and Communications with attendance at influencing meetings and webinars with, for example, the Association of Decentralised Energy, Community Energy England, Locality, Better Society Capital, the Access Foundation and others.

8. Draft internal and external copy for newsletters and the SIB intranet and website.

9. Monitor the press email address and support correspondence with journalists on reactive and proactive stories.

10. Attend and provide oversight to the Social Investment Forum, as part of SIB’s secretariat and hosting.

11. Write, edit and produce engaging and relevant content at pace for web, social media and e-newsletters, as well as earned and paid channels.

12. Management of external suppliers of communications and policy activities, including agencies, designers, consultants and think tanks.

13. Work with the Marketing Manager, Marketing and Events Coordinator, Business Development Manager and wider team to deliver successful external events with customers, stakeholders and partners including attendance at Party Conferences.

14. Work in line with the organisation's values, principles and processes to achieve operational excellence.

15. Adopt our continuous improvement and learning ethos

• Good established networks through experience in a similar role, and a commitment to expanding those networks to support SIB’s strategic aims

Casework – The post holder will conduct a full exploration of the client’s financial and holistic circumstances to provide robust advice specific to the client’s needs.

The advisor will be required to act for the client where necessary and communicate with third parties such as water providers, energy providers or the Local Authority to progress the client’s case.

 Advice will be delivered through a variety of channels including face-to-face (drop-in and appointments), telephone or digital channels and must conform to the Citizens Advice Quality of Advice standards and funder requirements.

The Senior Support Worker is the lead practitioner within their designated intensive support  domestic abuse refuge, providing day-to-day operational oversight and support to staff, volunteers and bank staff. 

Working closely with the Refuge Manager and Deputy Refuge Manager, the postholder ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed support to women and children fleeing domestic abuse. The role acts as the main point of continuity within the refuge, supporting staff induction, maintaining standards of practice, and contributing to a safe, stable and supportive environment.

Volunteer officer – North Middlesex Hospital

Salary £30,000 - £33,000 per annum - subject to skills and experience 

Hours of work 37.5 hours a week over five days

Base North Middlesex University Hospital, Sterling Way, London N18 1QX, UK.

Upon successful completion of probation, employees would be in a hybrid role, with four days in the office and one day remote.

The role

The volunteer officer will report to the volunteer manager.

The purpose of this role is to deliver the coordination of the operations of the charity’s volunteers ensuring that they have the best experience possible.

The objectives of the post are:

· To support the day-to-day smooth running of the service

· To be the first point of contact for the service and provide excellent customer service to ‘walk-in’ and face-to-face enquiries

· To deliver new projects to assist in the delivery of the service

· Support the launch and growth of the service, working closely with the volunteer manager to ensure sustainability.

· Work independently as the sole charity representative on-site, ensuring effective coordination while adhering to lone working policies.

Volunteer team

• The volunteer team is responsible for managing and coordinating volunteering roles across the 4 main hospital sites and satellite sites for the Royal Free London Trust.
• The volunteer team work closely with Trust staff to ensure patients have the best possible experience whilst they are in the hospital, they also support the volunteers with anything they may need to carry out their roles and make a significant contribution to the operational and strategic aims of the charity and trust.

About the Role

We are looking to appoint an Operations Officer to help build and scale our social enterprise. You will report to the Head of Operations. Operations Officers are a crucial part of our Services Team. You will be the main point of contact for our partner charities, receiving referrals for personalised budgets and processing these on a weekly basis. You’ll be responsible for managing incoming cases, liaising with support workers, providing advice and guidance about each case, light touch financial support, and releasing personalised budgets to clients across our contracts. You’ll work closely with our partners around the UK to ensure our personalised budgets reach as many people as possible and our contracts are a success. 

The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organised, possesses excellent attention to detail, confident in communicating to partners and at ease delivering presentations. We’re looking for people who are proactive, restless for change and want to be part of an innovative solution to ending homelessness for good. 

About Greater Change

Founded in 2018 by Alex McCallion and Jonathan Tan, Greater Change is an innovative social enterprise focused on helping people overcome the financial barriers on their pathway out of homelessness using personalised budgets. We partner with charities and support workers who refer people to us who would benefit from our financial support. The personalised budgets (supported cash transfers) we provide are typically for rent deposits, ID documents, training courses etc.

On average, Greater Change spends £1400 per individual and last year 85% of the people we supported sustained their move into stable housing, saving the public purse over £41,000 per person per annum.

Our goal is ultimately to use personalised budgets as a dignified and effective tool to end homelessness.

Main Responsibilities

1. Manage referrals end to end, including receiving, triaging, and processing cases to ensure timely release of funds to partner organisations.

2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on our CRM to track referrals, case progress, and outcomes.

3. Provide financial case planning support for each referral, using a strengths-based approach to support individuals to move away from homelessness.

4. Process weekly payments and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

5. Liaise closely with support workers in partner organisations to progress referrals and resolve issues.

6. Onboard, train, and support partner charities, including scoping calls, delivery of training sessions, workshops, and bespoke support and resources.

7. Ensure high-quality partnership management across all contracts, including the development of tailored resources as required.

8. Prepare operational and monitoring reports for partner organisations, lead partners, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail with a consistent focus on accuracy and process.
• Proven partnership-building skills, with the confidence and ability to build new relationships and maintain existing partnerships with charities.
• Confident public speaker, with experience delivering presentations and facilitating onboarding sessions, workshops, online drop-ins, and training sessions.
• Proactive approach to communication, including confidence in picking up the phone, engaging support workers, and visiting partner organisations in person.
• Experience writing reports, collecting and analysing data, and communicating findings to a range of stakeholders.
• Demonstrable passion for, and commitment to, disrupting the current housing system and ending homelessness for good.

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Experience

In addition to the essential skills, we are especially keen to hear from candidates who are able to meet some, or any, of the additional experience requirements below:

• Previous experience working in the housing and/or homelessness sector, either at charities, local authorities or similar.
• Previous experience managing and tracking cases, especially supporting vulnerable clients to reach their goals or a positive outcome. 
• A good understanding of the housing system, homelessness, benefits processes and services which support people who are precariously housed. 
• Strong IT skills in particular G-Suite, Canva and Microsoft Office.
• Experience using CRM systems, in particular Salesforce.

Facilities Manager (Hard Services)

As the Facilities Manager, you will ensure the University’s buildings and working environment remain compliant, functional, efficient, and safe at all times from a hard services FM perspective. You will focus mainly on the Horizons site however you will also deputise for and support the Head of Facilities, in the wider work of the team.

You will champion sustainability, concentrating on elements relating to carbon management, energy, and water management. You will uphold building compliance and energy-related requirements, for example L8, ESOS and SECR, and provide advice and guidance to others as necessary. In addition, you will have full responsibility for contract management of FM service providers and proactively manage PPM at all University properties.

You must have extensive knowledge and experience of hard FM services and be a confident and experienced engineer. Other essentials include familiarity with a BMS, experience of ISO140001, BREEAM, and contractor management.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:

• Ensure all building statutory testing takes place and act as the responsible person and duty holder across multiple systems, including but not limited to L8, Fgas, PAT testing, low voltage electrical systems and lifting equipment (LOLER)
• Proactively manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) at all University properties, including fire alarm and emergency lighting
• Assume full responsibility for contract management of FM service providers including utilities, air conditioning, the Building Management System, fire prevention, lift servicing, drainage and plumbing, and water hygiene testing (L8)
• Ensure that internal systems, procedures, and processes relevant to the role, support the delivery of the University’s sustainability aspirations

Our main requirements:

• Technical FM qualifications or extensive knowledge of Hard FM services with supporting experience
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Experience in a similar role and knowledge of FM building operations
• Familiarity with Building Energy Management Systems, monitoring and targeting software
