OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

As the Trusts and Foundations Executive, you will be responsible for delivering income from a range of donors and prospects, with a focus on trusts and foundations, through growing a successful grants pipeline and inspiring funders to support the Helen Bamber Foundation. We are looking for an individual who thrives working in a collaborative way and who wants to gain experience working with Fundraising and Communications Team that has a successful track record of securing income.

You will be managed by our Grants Manager and work closely with the Head of Fundraising to deliver high-quality applications and reports to small and medium-sized Trusts and Foundations, as well as supporting larger donors in collaboration with your team members.

JOB PURPOSE

This role will support the planning and delivery of digital projects and campaigns that aim to raise awareness of the Start Network, build engagement across membership and support the Start team to work in effective ways. The postholder will create, edit and share digital content, manage online communities and will support the planning, development, maintenance and management of digital platforms.

The post-holder will produce and edit a wide range of digital content, including written content and digital media. The post-holder will also support the day-to-day engagement of stakeholders on digital platforms, such as social media, collaboration platforms and other engagement tools. The post-holder will have a good knowledge of best practise in digital while being able to use data to evidence the effectiveness of content and campaigns.

The post-holder will also manage or support new digital developments, such as data visualisation, that will increase stakeholder engagement in our work. Working closely with stakeholders and colleagues, the post holder will support projects to ensure they meet business and audience needs and that they are delivered on time and on budget.

This role will also coordinate third party suppliers in this process.

This role will be full time, based in the UK or another country of Start Network’s operations with occasional travel required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

COMMUNITIES AND CONTENT

• Coordinate the day-to-day communications of Start Network programmes on social media channels. Take part in planning and coordination of content for all social media channels, in line with digital engagement strategy.

• Create and share multimedia content for social media and website (such as gifs, images and video) to build engagement with audiences around the world. Collaborate with Graphic Designer, Communications Officer and external agencies and freelancers in production of high quality content, in line with Start Network’s brand guidelines.

• Manage day to day interaction with online communities (including social media, internal and member communities), track engagement, respond to enquiries and generate conversation.

• Advise colleagues on how to use and manage social media and digital communities for greatest impact – Work with the Digital Manager and Communications Manager to deliver training for staff, introducing new platforms and digital tools to the team.

• To assist with the marketing and promotion of Start Network’s content across the website, newsletters and social media channels and to contribute to Start Network’s marketing strategy as required.

DIGITAL PLATFORMS AND WEBSITE

• Work together with the Digital Manager to manage the development of digital platforms, working with internal colleagues and external developers to identify and deliver a range of projects.

• Maintain website content day-to-day, publishing news and blogs, resources, events and updating landing pages. Working with teams across the organisation on updating all pages regularly.

• Make changes to the website based on data, audience, (UX) and expert research to improve accessibility, search engine optimisation (SEO) and the overall experience of our users.

• Maintain the Start Network website day-to-day, identifying bugs, escalating internally and working with the developers to deliver solutions. Provide website, social media and newsletter activity reports and statistics and evaluate them in conjunction with the Communications Officer.

• Maintain a Digital Asset Management system Canto; collating and storing photos and sourcing appropriate stock images.

• Support the day-to-day delivery of digital projects fulfilling the organisations communications and digital objectives. These might include development of maps or other data visualisation tools and microsites. 

• Support effective development and use of internal platforms, Including our data management and CRM platform (Salesforce), and document management tool (Box) while maintaining high standards of data security and privacy.

• Ensure inspirational, informative and educational content for Start Network and its key programmes is shared regularly through the Start Network website and other digital channels, including e-newsletters and social media.

• Work with colleagues and members to edit high quality content in a variety of media, including photography, design, animation and video content.

• Contribute to building a strong organisational digital culture, design and support training delivery to all staff.

• Work together with the colleagues from the Communications team to provide advice and support to colleagues to raise the quality and effectiveness of content across the Network, through templates, guidance and training.

• Together with Events Coordinator and Digital Manager, provide technical support to online events, meetings and webinars.

• Manage the digital inbox and ensure enquiries are dealt with swiftly.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

• Experience of managing social media platforms, including advertising and using scheduling and monitoring tools such as Sprout Social

• Experience of digital marketing and the use of different tools, formats and channels

• Graphic design and/or video editing skills - including experience of using Adobe design software and Canva

• A strong understanding of digital content best practice. This includes SEO, accessibility and UX.

• Passion for creating quality digital content that is informative, engaging and inspires change.

• Confident using a content management system (CMS) to create and edit content on a website (preferably Drupal)

Barnardo's and Amazon have joined together to pilot a project which aims to support and transform the lives of young people who are not in education, employment, or training. The pilot took place in Tilbury, Essex, and due to the success, we are developing further sites across the nation. The aim of the programme is to equip young people aged 18-29 with the skills, confidence, and ambition to pursue their goals of finding employment, apprenticeships or further education and training. Amazon are offering real employment opportunities within their Bristol warehouse and the young people we are supporting will be invited to apply, interview and work for Amazon.

The role will provide a pivotal role to the development of the Barnardo's programme in Bristol and surrounding areas. Working with vulnerable young people who are not in education, employment or training, this role focuses on supporting young people through a 10week motivational programme and includes improving employability skills, confidence, and self-esteem work.

You will work assertively and creatively to engage with hard-to-reach young people. You will lead and develop the work in this area and will be responsible for providing quality Information, Advice and Guidance.

This post will involve some travel around the Bristol area. The post is 12month funded with a review for potential continuation funding.

The Refugee and Migrant Forum of Essex and London (RAMFEL) is one of the largest immigration and asylum advice charities in the UK, supporting refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to access justice. An OISC level 3 accredited organisation, we represent clients at all stages of the immigration and asylum process, up to and including the Upper Tribunal of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber.

Purpose of the role: 

The purpose of the role is to assist some of the most vulnerable people in our society. The focus of the legal work is on non-legal aid funded matters, supporting people who otherwise have no access to legal advice and support. There will be particular focus on working with people who are facing a crisis, providing legal representation and support that will take them out of destitution.

This is a vacant position being filled as a replacement. The role gives an opportunity to assist some of the most vulnerable people in our society. The focus of the role is on supporting people who otherwise have no access to legal advice and support. 

We will primarily consider applications with relevant legal experience. Qualifications needed are OISC level 2/3 or Solicitor with IAAS accreditation.

Relationships: This post will report to the Rough Sleeping Casework Manager

Contract duration: Fixed term until 31 March 2025

Hours of work: The role is primarily a full-time position, requiring 37.5 hours per week. However, for the right candidate, we may consider accommodating part-time working hours. Specific Responsibilities

Case management 

1. Manage own caseload, working to advance the best interests of the client
2. Adhere to standards set out by OISC/SRA and AQS to deliver high-quality advice
3. Provide representation and advice up to OISC level 2/3.
4. Engage with the Line Manager to create and follow a training plan to ensure compliance with OISC CPD, keeping up to date with changes in law, policy and guidance to ensure clients receive accurate and high-quality advice
5. Liaise directly with the UKVI and related governmental agencies
6. Complete forms, letters and immigration applications
7. Liaise with and refer clients to Legal Aid Solicitors or other advisers, as appropriate
8. Manage clients’ expectations by discussing deadlines, outcomes and timing 
9. Deliver legal advice outreach surgeries/drop in as and when required 
10. Progress cases in a timely manner in line with regulatory requirements.
11. Implement organisational priorities into day-to-day casework.

Person Specification 

Education/qualifications

• Ideally candidates must be Solicitors with IAAS Level 2 with at least 1-year immigration experience or OISC level 2/3 qualified
• If OISC level 1, the candidate will be expected to initially work under supervision completing level 2 work and qualifying at level 2 within 6 months. (Training is provided and study leave is accommodated.) Upon obtaining a higher level of accreditation, the candidate’s salary will increase in line with RAMFEL pay scales.
• IAAS level 2 caseworkers (non-solicitor) will be considered but if appointed must be prepared to work under supervision and qualify at level 1 within 6 months. Experience/knowledge

•  Experience in providing high-quality advice and representation to clients
•  A good understanding of law and policy as it relates to immigration and asylum

The role

We are looking for someone who wants to start their career in marketing and is interested in learning more about CRMs, email marketing and measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. As part of the King’s Fund’s centralised Marketing function, you’ll be at the heart of giving colleagues and customers a consistent, joined-up experience and play a key role in our marketing strategy. You’ll deal with a spectrum of work, spanning everything from writing and creating compelling copy (for both online and offline marketing activity); diving into our CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and managing lists; to pulling together evaluation reports, analysing campaign performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights. To join us, you’ll need a keen interest in marketing and a blend of creativity and precision to write clear and compelling copy for marketing materials including email campaigns. The Fund is committed to a hybrid working model that meets the organisation’s needs, while giving staff flexibility to choose between office and home working. Most staff are expected to work a minimum of 40% from our central London office and are free to work more days from the office if they prefer. As Marketing Executive, you’ll have a broad and varied role, working with our Marketing and Digital Manager to deliver Marketing and Communications projects at a critical time for the Football Foundation and for grassroots sports. What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £35,000 - £39,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

Due to service development, we have a fantastic opportunity for dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Supervising Keyworkers to join Barnardo's as part of the Greater Manchester Keyworking Service for Children and Young People (CYP) with Learning Disability and/or Autism. 

The keyworker role has 2 main functions:

1. Supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and young autistic people within their home or the setting where the child or young person is living or staying. Providing 1:1 support for the child or young person, and family. co-ordinating links with peers, community networks and other services, to secure the most appropriate provision to meet need now and in the future. The service tries to prevent avoidable admissions to hospital.

2. Understanding from the child or young person and their family experience, what supports a good family life and what gets in the way. This information will be shared in reports and at strategic meetings.. We currently have 4 full time posts available on a permanent contract. Would you like the chance to provide support to keyworkers?

The service covers Greater Manchester and the service is split into 5 teams. Each team has a team manager that you will directly report to and work closely with.  The team offices are in Rochdale, Stockport, Salford, Manchester and Bolton.  As a Senior Supervising Keyworker, you will have knowledge, experience, passion, commitment and confidence to line manage and provide guidance to the team of keyworkers supporting CYP and families. This experience may have been gained in education, NHS services or social care roles through Statutory, Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise or other providers. You will be part of the on-call rota system providing out of hours guidance, this averages one week in every 10 - 12 weeks for which there is an on-call payment.

The role provides lots of opportunities to develop your skill set, knowledge and career progression going forward. The service has a comprehensive training offer, and you will be supported by the management team within the service.
