We’re looking for a Fundraising Officer to develop and foster a legacy pipeline and increase our donations from Trusts and Foundations to help achieve our vision of a wilder Derbyshire.
In this role, you will lead legacy income by initiating, managing and developing a comprehensive programme of cultivation and stewardship activities for legacy pledgers. You will develop and implement a programme to meet our income targets from Trusts and Foundations, writing compelling fundraising bids that tell our story.

About you
This role might be right for you if you:
- Have previous experience of working as a fundraiser for a charity, business development or a customer facing role.
- Are self-motivated with experience of working towards income generation targets.
- Are confident at coordinating budgets and reporting
- Can work effectively with self motivation.
- Can comfortably communicate our work to a range of stakeholders with passion and enthusiasm.
- Have an agile mindset to be able to respond and react quickly to change and opportunities.

This role will be based at our office in Middleton although a balance of home and office working will be allowed. We are a local charity so applicants should be easily able to access our office and other locations around the county.

THE ROLE
This exciting business development opportunity is perfect for a salesperson who thrives on building and managing relationships and exceeding targets. In this role, you'll leverage your exceptional sales skills to secure vital partnerships with businesses, playing a pivotal role in tackling the nature and climate crisis.
You'll join a team dedicated to securing impactful corporate partnerships. Together, you'll build and nurture connections with senior decision-makers at top FTSE 100 companies, focusing on developing strategic partnerships exceeding £1 million annually. Your persuasive communication and sales acumen will be key to inspiring and securing corporate investment in the Trust's mission.
THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for an inspiring, self-assured, and enthusiastic team player with a track record of success, or a strong desire to develop your sales skills. You will have experience in business development or a related field (we can provide training to bridge any gaps). With a confidence to represent the Trust at high-profile events and conferences and adept at collaborative work, proposal development, and staying current on ESG trends.
