We’re looking for a Fundraising Officer to develop and foster a legacy pipeline increasing our donations from Trusts and Foundations to help achieve our vision of a wilder Derbyshire.

In this role, you will lead legacy income by initiating, managing and developing a comprehensive programme of cultivation and stewardship activities for legacy pledgers. You’ll develop and implement a programme to meet our income targets from Trusts and Foundations, writing compelling fundraising bids that tell our story.

Join Trees for Life’s Nature Restoration Team to provide vital support in guiding and evidencing our work to restore nature at landscape scale.  We are looking to this role to identify the best opportunities for natural regeneration of peatland and native woodland through ecological survey in the field.  You will be a key source of advice and support across all the Trees for Life programme, including at Dundreggan, Affric Highlands and habitats projects focused Highlands-wide.  This will be a rewarding, impact-focused role for someone with good botanical identification skills, an understanding of Highlands ecology and an enthusiasm for exploring places with real potential for rewilding.

Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Officer, Enterprise  to support the design, implementation and knowledge exchange of conservation enterprises and related local sustainable finance mechanisms that generate finance for conservation and/or improve the livelihoods of local communities at Fauna & Flora’s projects around the world.

You will be supporting business model development, private sector partnerships, project management, fundraising, capacity development and communications. You will work closely with our regional programme and partners in 20-plus countries, who are working on the ground to deliver conservation impact. 

You will be a highly motivated and organised individual, looking to apply your expertise in business and finance to solve conservation challenges. You will have an understanding of developing business plans and developing financial models. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise across teams and cultures as well as from rural entrepreneurs to corporates and investors. You will enjoy applying your business skills to complex issues and explaining these in plain and accessible language. Your new role

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out reception duties and act as 'first point of contact' for visitors to the office.

• Under the direction of Official Veterinarians or Officers, record Products of Animal Origin and other imported food consignments on the computerised cargo handling system and port manifesting systems.
• Under the direction of Official Veterinarians or Officers, they undertake the initial documentary check for third country consignments of products of animal origin in accordance with ISO procedures and ensure that documents for charging purposes are sent to the Finance Section on a daily basis.

The Data Analyst: Geo-Spatial position will play a key role in the implementation of a new digital Information Management System (IMS) for the organisation’s monitoring and evaluation data. The system is in place and is in the process of being refined by a consultant. The new post-holder will have a handover with the consultant in order to take on the management of the IMS.

About the Role

The School of Geography at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) are seeking a project manager to work on major new externally funded research project investigating the impact of pollution and climate change on the resilience of coastal communities and seas. The project is a collaboration between five universities - QMUL’s School of Geography, University of Glasgow, Kings College London, University of Bradford and University of Sunderland – and more than 30 end-user environmental and community organisations.

The aim of our project is to understand the interlinked risks of climate change, coastal flooding and erosion, and coastal pollution for coastal community and ecosystem resilience. Working with stakeholders, communities and policy makers we will co-develop practical and policy interventions through a multi-dimensional assessment of coastal natural capital, heritage, and socio-cultural capital.

The focus for this role will be to support the co-ordination and delivery of the project.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience of managing large, multi-institution research projects but will not need expertise in pollution, climate change or coastal policy. The Project Manager will:

Manage project progress via appropriate tools such as a risk register, RACI matrix, progress/milestone trackers/Gantt chart. Provide regular updates to the project directors with regards to overall progress, milestones, interdependencies, and key deliverables.

Support day to day running of the project and provide the main point of contact for project coordination and managing relationships.

Maintain clear and effective communication with external partners, collaborators and the public.

Organise, facilitate and ensure smooth running of project team meetings, stakeholder meetings and community workshops.

Manage the budget, track spending and support effective procedures in the overall team ensuring compliance with the funding organisation.

Liaise with all project collaborators at regular intervals to collect carbon emission information for of the project activities.

This role falls inside of IR35, and is advertised on the basis of a hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office).

Up to (DOE) £51,100 inclusive of allowances.
