We are looking for a Policy Officer within our Service Delivery Team. You will have demonstrable understanding of health and social care policy and related public policy developments in the UK, as well as an understanding of how policy decisions are influenced and made. You will have knowledge and experience of research and analysis relevant to health policy, as well as familiarity with and understanding of the core principles of both quantitative and qualitative research.

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of Picker's policy influencing strategy to make person centred health and social care a reality for everyone. You will be responsible for monitoring policy and political developments, promoting evidence-based policies to advanced person centred care and building and maintaining relationships within the health policy world. You will leave on the development of policy outputs including briefings, position statements and white papers, working with colleagues to build evidence and articulate Picker's messages.
This role
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of key health and social care policy and political developments
- Lead on or assist with a range of high-profile policy projects, including the planning and development of projects, and contributing to analysis, writing and publication.
- Identifying opportunities to contribute to public policy debates in health and social care, using evidence from Picker’s work and from the public domain to provide insightful thought leadership.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support policy analysis, responsive policy work, and to enhance Picker’s external profile across various audiences.
- Lead on and assist with written outputs, such as topic-specific briefing papers, website copy, presentations and blog posts to communicate the findings of our work.
- Carry out literature reviews and rapid scans of data and evidence to scope public policy positions on a range of key issues.
- Present evidence and findings (both in writing and orally) about highly complex and sometimes contentious subjects to a wide range of audiences, ensuring an understanding of the subject and issues arising and enabling informed decision making
- Support the drafting of responses to consultations, policy briefings, and other public policy initiatives, including relevant third party publications.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, partners, and collaborators relevant to our policy portfolio, including academic and health and social care policy communities.

About You
You will have:

The Ripple Pond is a charity that supports adult family members of physically and/or psychologically injured British Armed Forces personnel and veterans. Many of these individuals and family members are hard to reach and often isolated.
Your role will be to ensure that more and more of the military community, professionals and other interested parties know who we are and how to access our support.
You will also help to organise our exciting programme of online talks and activities for our Members (service-users) to help ensure they are well-informed, involved and feel part of a supportive community. Making sure that Members are always involved in generating ideas and production.
We are looking for someone who is dynamic and determined, but you also need to be invested in our mission as a charity and care about people.
This role is about;
• working with a wide range of groups and individuals to help raise awareness of the charity and to create opportunities to identify new Members (service users);
• being responsible for networking, identifying, and establishing partnerships with key individuals and organisations and nurturing existing relationships;
• developing and rolling out strategies to engage with hard-to-reach and isolated military carers and families;
• coordinating a range of activities (mainly online) to deliver information to Members, potential Members, referrers, and other stakeholders. These will include online talks from staff, Members and other “subject matter experts”; and
• helping to ensure the charity continues to understand the developing needs of its Members.
Although the role is home-based, you will not be working in isolation; you will be supported by the managers and workforce.

We do this through grant support, direct delivery, research and advocacy.
This role is a great opportunity to play an important part in creating and facilitating Outdoor Learning experiences in Cumbria.
The Role
Being an Outdoor Learning Officer involves collaborating with schools to integrate Outdoor Learning into their curricula and provide opportunities for children and young people to have positive experiences in natural environments, focusing on underserved groups and those most in need of support. You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of our schools offer to ensure the success of Outdoor Learning programmes in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Delivery and Collaboration:
- Develop a bespoke Outdoor Learning offer to schools as part of our Foundations for Outdoor Learning and/or Enriching Education programmes, considering various factors such as location, catchment area, size and type of groups, use of resources and landscape.
- Plan and deliver Outdoor Learning sessions for eligible schools, on school grounds, in local green spaces and at Low Beckside Farm, devising activities and developing appropriate learning resources for each session and agreed outcome.
- Support the delivery of sessions at Low Beckside Farm for groups attending as part of their OWL (Outdoor Week of Learning) residential.
- Work with schools and teachers for effective delivery of programmes.
- Contribute to impact assessments through data collection, observations, and evaluation paperwork.

Foundations for Outdoor Learning
This programme is a comprehensive, long-term support package for schools wanting to embed Outdoor Learning into their curriculum and practice. Support may include teacher CPD, mentoring, and advice on how to optimise use of your school grounds. We do this on your school site, with some supported visits to local green spaces and our own learning locations.
Enriching Education
This programme uses The Ernest Cook Trust’s own learning locations - woodlands, farms, rivers and other natural landscapes - together with our Outdoor Learning leaders to support a school’s Outdoor Learning provision. This may be a school’s first experience of Outdoor Learning, or it may enhance and extend existing programmes. Either way, we aim to inspire all participants to spend more time
outdoors.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dedicated team based in Wakefield.
This is a new post which has been developed following a research project commissioned by Prosper Wakefield District (was Wakefield and District Health and Community Support) in 2022 and carried out by Rocket Science, a national research organisation. The purpose was to identify where additional investment from Prosper could make the most impact in priority areas arising from their findings.

Purpose of role

The Partnership and Development Manager will partner closely with the COO to influence the trajectory of London Seminary's future. Your role will extend to providing vital support to the COO during outreach engagements within Christian churches and partnership events. Furthermore, you'll work alongside the Principal to spearhead the implementation of innovative initiatives aimed at raising awareness of our mission and outreach efforts.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Being an excellent networker that can build strong long lasting relationships
- Experience in researching and identifying fundraising opportunities with trusts, foundations and supporters
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary: £25,600 - £28,444 per annum (plus £3,500 London Allowance if applicable)

As the Payroll Officer you will be accountable for working with the Payroll Supervisors to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient, high quality payroll service to staff and managers across the Charity. You will be required to provide an effective and accurate output of work to meet the demands of the role, ensuring a consistently high level of customer care is provided, and work to agreed timeframes and tight deadlines.

What we are looking for:
- Proficiency in using Excel, Outlook, and other systems such as HR and Payroll
- Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to work to deadlines
- Experience processing documentation, starters, changes and leave requests
- Exemplary customer service skills. With demonstrable skills in managing sensitive and complex cases
- Knowledge and understanding of payroll processes
- Understanding of HMRC, PAYE, NI, RTI and statutory payments
As the Payroll Specialist within our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless administration of employee salaries through Resource Link, our computerized payroll system. Your duties include meticulously collating and inputting pertinent information for the monthly payroll cycle, encompassing tasks such as processing new hires, managing contract changes, administering sickness absence payments, calculating maternity and paternity pay, handling Court Orders, GAYE, Union deductions, Childcare Voucher schemes, and ensuring accurate payment of Pension contributions and Company loans. Your primary focus will be to guarantee the precision and punctuality of salary payments for all employees, effectively managing expectations and fostering consistency.
In addition to your administrative responsibilities, you will serve as a knowledgeable resource for employees and managers, offering guidance on a broad spectrum of payroll-related matters. This includes providing advice on salary payments, enhancements, expenses, Tax, National Insurance, statutory deductions, and adherence to company policies and procedures that may impact an employee's pay. Prompt resolution of queries and issues within reasonable timeframes is paramount, and your ability to appreciate and address the concerns of employees contributes to maintaining a positive and efficient payroll function within the organization.
