The Role 

We are looking for an experienced Social Workers to join our London & South East Team supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer.

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.

This role is part home, part site-based. Your contractual base will be both Home and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Connect: North Korea is a fast-growing charity supporting North Korean escapees to build new lives after experiences of systemic discrimination, poverty, and trauma. 

Our organisational income has grown consistently year on year since we registered  in 2018. We now have a series of multi-year grants in place ensuring that 42% of our income for 2026 is already secured. But we are ambitious. We want to do more for our community, so we are looking for a new, dynamic Head of Fundraising and Development to lead and deliver income generation as we scale our work in the UK and globally.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a fundraising strategy and plan across all major income streams—trusts and foundations, individual giving, corporate partnerships, and major donors. The Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights (CRER) is Scotland’s leading strategic anti-racist organisation. Based in Glasgow, we work to eliminate racial discrimination and harassment and to promote racial justice across Scotland through research, policy development, lobbying, campaigning and network-building.

Our mission is to protect, enhance and promote the rights of Black and minority ethnic (BME) communities across all areas of life in Scotland, strengthening their social, economic and political capital, particularly for those most at risk of disadvantage.

The Role

As Executive Director, you will be the senior officer responsible for the strategic leadership, policy development, office and staff management, financial control, stakeholder relationships and Company Secretary duties. You will ensure delivery of annual work plans, contractual compliance and organisational sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy, Research and Policy Development: Provide strategic direction, delivering CRER’s vision, aims and objectives; lead development and execution of strategy with staff and Board, setting policy, research and advocacy priorities.
• Governance and Operational Management: Act as Company Secretary; oversee OSCR compliance; support the Board’s duties through guidance and information; prepare annual budgets; ensure sound financial management; oversee management accounts and annual reports; maintain infrastructure and regulatory compliance; implement risk management; develop funding applications and tender responses.
• Staff Leadership and Development: Lead and line-manage a motivated team; maintain and apply the CRER Policies and Procedures Handbook consistently.
• Stakeholder Relations and Public Relations: Manage external relationships with BME organisations, third sector, government, funders, academia, and parliamentarians; represent CRER in strategic discussions, public events, media, and on social media platforms.
• Other Duties: Any additional tasks required for effective organisational functioning.

• Degree level qualification or equivalent
• Expertise in strategic, anti-racist approaches to race equality

I am urgently seeking an experienced Interim Reward and Employee Relations Manager on a 12-month fixed term salaried contract for my renowned client in the civil service / culture sector, based in London 2 days per week with 3 days remote. The Generous Giving Manager is a very exciting and influential role at the Diocese, as you will build on the strong and energetic foundations within our two-person Generous Giving Team to strengthen the financial sustainability of local churches by encouraging generosity in time, talents and financial giving.

Working closely with deaneries, parishes and their leadership teams, you will identify local challenges and opportunities for generous giving, sharing innovative giving practices to help parishes and deaneries develop creative and effective ways to resource their mission.

Communicating clearly and inspiringly the principles of Christian giving to diverse audiences, you will keep up to date with National Church resources, promoting and supporting a wide range of giving methods such as the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), online and contactless giving. You will also offer guidance to parish officers for resources on giving campaigns, legacies and grant funding.

This is an ideal role for someone with a good understanding of church life, a passion for helping local churches thrive, a strong commitment to community engagement and an understanding of generosity grounded in Christian teaching.

With demonstrable experience in fundraising or parish ministry, you should bring an awareness of the financial and missional challenges facing churches today, particularly in rural contexts. 

With an understanding of the Church of England’s structures, ethos, and range of traditions, you will have the proven ability to plan, advise on and lead giving or fundraising programmes in a not-for-profit or charitable context. You should also have a clear understanding of the teaching which underpins the Christian principles of giving.

Your motivational and collaborative approach across a variety of settings, combined with your outstanding interpersonal skills and natural ability at rapport building will ensure you are able to generate and develop creative, solution-focused ideas, engaging and inspiring individuals and groups, both in person and online.

Typically, you will operate during office hours but will need to adjust your working pattern in order to meet with parishes in the evenings and/or occasionally attend their Sunday worship, so the ability to travel to remote locations and work flexibly is a necessity.
