The Head of Youth Engagement & Participation is a key senior leadership role at Peer Power Youth. Responsible for leading the youth engagement team (YET) across all aspects of safe and supported youth engagement (individual change) and ensuring youth voices contribute to tangible and meaningful system change (participation/system change).

You can play a key role in shaping and delivering this with us as part of our valued community that spans young partners, trustees, advisory forum and our staff team.
Our model of youth engagement and participation has been co-created by young people and consists of:

Personal development/Peer to Professional (life skills/training/work readiness) offer – creating Individual Change

Youth Voice and Influence projects– creating tangible System Change

Training, Coaching, and Workshops that are designed and delivered by young partners for professionals in justice, care and health settings. Along with resources to support System Change
Partnerships include NHS (regional and national), Youth Justice Board, Ministry of Justice/Youth Custody Service, HMI Probation, Youth Justice Services, youth and community organisations and secure settings. The Head of Youth Engagement and Participation will directly line manage 4-5 senior staff members but holds the overall responsibility for the Youth Engagement Team.
The Young Partners we engage and connect with, have experience of justice and care/looked after systems. We work across London and Southeast regions, with occasional national events. Our work takes place in the community and in secure settings (examples include -HMYOI Feltham, Oasis Restore Secure School, and Secure Children’s Homes).

Communications Manager

Job Purpose
The Communications Manager will play a leading role in driving Career Ready’s communications activity, working alongside the Head of Communications and colleagues across the charity.
This role will put you at the heart of a range of projects, ensuring that we provide high-quality communications and content that support our programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and brand awareness.
Role Responsibilities
Stakeholder communications
· Work with the Head of Communications and other internal stakeholders to author and distribute stakeholder communications via relevant channels to support partnership and programme delivery.
· Deliver key colleague communications, including weekly and monthly staff bulletins, and surveys, aligning it to the strategic purpose of the charity and ensuring effective knowledge sharing and staff engagement.
· Support with the delivery of stakeholder marketing campaigns across a range of audiences.
Content and resource production
· Develop and implement a social media content strategy, including day-to-day channel management.
· Support with the writing, editing, and collation of written content, including case studies, blog content, and news articles.
· Update and produce key publications for our programme delivery, including liaising with colleagues and suppliers to oversee design, content, and production in line with our brand guidelines.
· Work independently and with the Head of Communications and external providers on the creation of creative media content, including photoshoots, graphics, and videos.
Brand assurance
· Provide advice and guidance to colleagues to ensure all communications are in line with our brand guidelines and tone of voice.
· Help to develop and implement brand assets for use by all colleagues.
Wider responsibilities
· The post holder will have additional responsibilities and projects set by the Head of Communications, including but not limited to website maintenance, event support, and supporting press and media engagement.
Person Specification
Essential skills and experience:
· Demonstrable experience of working in an internal, fast-paced communications-based role
· Excellent planning and project management skills, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
· Strong writing, editing, and visual skills.
· Experience of using Adobe design platforms (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
· Experience of using email distribution platforms (Campaign Monitor or similar).
· Relevant IT skills, including the Office 365 suite.
· Experience of developing and driving forward social media accounts.
Desirable skills and experience:
· Well-developed digital skills to help manage our WordPress website.
· Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks including GDPR compliance.
· Experience of working effectively in a home based role

Finance Officer
This is a full time role - Hybrid working with an expectation of weekly attendance to Head Office at Baynards Green, Nr. Bicester Oxfordshire.
Job Purpose:-
We are looking to appoint a Finance Officer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Finance this new role will ensure that appropriate financial processes and systems are followed and developed to support our charity’s sustainable growth and safeguard our financial health.
The Finance Officer will ensure that financial tasks and transactions are undertaken in an efficient, effective and timely manner and, importantly, that relevant financial information is provided to keep the Head of Finance updated and informed, supporting the Leadership Team to make the best decisions for the charity.
We are looking for a confident and experienced individual to join our supportive team. Previous charity finance knowledge is helpful but not essential, above all we want an individual to be tenacious, curious, diligent and show strong initiative.
Who are you?
You should be accomplished in Sage 50 Accounts and have considerable experience working in a finance function and in financial administration.
Some experience of working with Salesforce or an equivalent CRM database and an accountancy qualification or studying towards a professional qualification ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) or AAT qualified. Experience of working in the Voluntary Sector, paid or unpaid would be great.
You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills (a natural ability to clearly communicate financial information to those with a non-finance background). You need to have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and experience in database and payroll systems.
It would be amazing for you to have high level of attention to detail and methodical working, be a self-starter and be able to use initiative.
