We are looking to recruit an Event Manager as part of the Events team, supporting the organisation and delivery of FIGO events – including the biennial FIGO World Congress, online and regional events, webinars and internal FIGO events – providing world-class programming and an excellent experience to our growing network of stakeholders.

Head of UK Programmes Grants and Programmes Contract: Fixed term to 31st May 2025 (maternity cover)

Head of UK Programmes is the senior lead on UK-wide grants and programmes, working closely with nation teams and fundraising to shape and deliver a sector leading portfolio of programmes that is evidence informed, and evidence generating, catalysing positive change for carer organisations and unpaid carers. This role requires an established social sector leader who is adept at demonstrating internal and external leadership,

You will be detail oriented and logical to provide robust programme quality and assurance expertise, yet equally comfortable to lead the organisation externally too. You will be passionate about positioning Carers Trust’s programmatic offer as relevant and additive, drawing on emerging and best practice from across our network of 126 carer organisations.

As a seasoned programmes professional your leadership accountability for UK Programmes spans from development through to implementation and you will work closely across the nations to steward and role model a joined up approach across Carers Trust’s programme cycle, leading to meaningful and coherent programming.

The role holder will instill a learning and continuous improvement culture across the programmes and impact community, to ensure that programmatic learning is used to inform our network offer, evolving research agenda and influencing activities. The post holder will lead a UK programmes team, and be able to work thematically on programmes for carers of all ages and will be comfortable with a matrix management approach to nation-specific programmes teams. We are seeking for a Programme Officer in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) team.

The role

As Programme Officer, you will provide operational and administrative support across the entire portfolio of LIF activities, focusing on the LIF Global programme and the LIF Community. This role will involve some international travel.

Precisely, you will support the programme by organising training and mentoring, local and international events for a global network of engineering and technology entrepreneurs; and building and maintaining a sustainable international network of LIF alumni.

Details of the role

As the Head of Programmes, you will play a central role in Jangala’s evolution at this important juncture, leading Jangala’s efforts to provide critical internet access to those who need it most. You will build and lead the partnerships with a wide range of delivery partners, from UK councils to the UN and major aid agencies, that will facilitate Jangala’s growing impact around the world, as well as lead a team dedicated to building efficient and insight-driven programmes. Your leadership will ensure the successful implementation of our connectivity initiatives, and help achieve Jangala’s ambitious impact targets providing meaningful connectivity worldwide.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead Jangala’s overall programme delivery, building partnerships across the UN, NGO and public sectors to deliver internet connectivity to millions of people by 2028 

• Ensuring that our programmes are high-quality and impactful, delivering meaningful connectivity by implementing our M&E frameworks and conducting first level impact assessment

• Working closely with our Strategy, Insights & Advocacy Lead to develop and implement our M&E frameworks, ensuring we are accurately measuring our impact

Important details

E3G PROGRAMME FINANCE LEAD, OPERATIONS, LONDON

E3G funding comes from a wide variety of funders around the world. We are looking for a CCAB qualified finance person with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a charity or not-for-profit programme finance context. The role will work with the Chief Financial Officer and Programme Leads to manage our financial relationships with these funders and the end-to-end finance activities across our funders and programmes.

Founded in 2004, E3G is a not for profit organisation who are world leading strategists on the political economy of climate change, dedicated to achieving a safe climate for all. Our goal is to translate climate politics, economics and policies into action.

E3G currently has offices in London, Brussels, Berlin and Washington DC. Some European travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing monthly internal project reporting to project leads.
• Managing external funder reporting and project audits.
• Liasing with project leads and project management team to provide expert advice and ensure compliance with funder regulations across projects.

As a Programme Coordinator (PC) you will be at the frontline of our work, working directly with schools and colleges, young people and local businesses to make an impact! You will be responsible for all aspects of programme management and delivery of the Envision programme in a cluster of schools/colleges in your region.

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Competencies: 

• Experience of facilitating activities with young people – including preparing engaging sessions in advance by utilising resources available to them

• Experience of working on projects which have multiple stakeholders – communicating effectively through written and verbal communication 

• Commitment to Envision’s vision, mission and values and ability to work well in, and contribute to, our organisational culture 

Desirable Experience, Knowledge and Competencies: 

• Experience of data handling – collecting and recording data in a timely manner using an online CRM system 

• Understanding of, and/ or lived experience of, the barriers that young people face, that contribute to the education and employment gap

What are we looking for?

An accomplished leader with experience of organisational strategy development, planning, organising, managing and developing strategic and operational activities.

You will excel in engaging stakeholders, both internal and external, to drive the development of impactful strategies. Demonstrated success in leading the development of a cross organisational business strategic workplan, and managing programmes through substantial change is essential.

Your expertise in project management, supported by a recognised qualification, will ensure effective implementation using a variety of project management practices, tools, and methodologies.

In addition to your strategic experience, you must possess outstanding communication skills, enabling you to chair meetings, deliver presentations and network. You will also have a collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in partnership with individuals, groups, organisations, and engage with other internal and external stakeholders.

Your experience of developing impact frameworks to identify and measure indicators of success against organisational strategies and the ability to present data in a clear and coherent style, will be crucial.

You will need to possess excellent decision-making skills and confident in making strategic and operational decisions.

We are looking for a Programme Officer for our new Women Lead in Emergencies team to help us to achieve our ambition for women’s equal and meaningful participation and leadership in humanitarian and nexus programming.

You’ll support the team to deliver efficient and responsive global technical services for the confederation by managing information and administrative systems for the Women Lead in Emergences global workstream. You will coordinate with CARE offices and Women Lead project teams to keep global information updated. You will provide logistical support to CARE’s Women Lead in Emergencies Community of Practice and work with other team members to produce and curate content for our internal knowledge platforms.
