We assess functional vision and test for cerebral visual impairments, which can often be an overlooked establishing operation for behavioural challenges. As well as direct assessment and intervention to work to increase people’s opportunities in life, we train our support teams to meet the people we supports’ unique needs. Our team members are committed to joint working with families, support teams and our NHS and local authority colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for the people we support.
We work as partners with the residential or supported living teams to build plans that are accepted, operationally achievable, generalisable, and sustainable.
Your experience & personal characteristics
As you will be working with people in their own homes, residential and group supported living services, you must be confident engaging with diverse groups of people, family members and multi-agency professionals. You need to be passionate about equality and equity, being able to see the potential for improvement and knowing how to guide the person we support and their team to achieve the best. You will already have experience working directly with people who have learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, multi-sensory impairments, and people who may present behaviours that challenge. You will be fluent in the use of applied behaviour analysis to devise ways that are simple but effective to measure baseline and on-going development. You will be able to support our teams by putting plans into action through your direct modelling.
Your qualifications
This position requires a minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or a related field (such as Positive Behaviour Support) with at least two years of applicable experience; or Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, with one year of professional experience.

The successful candidate will work with the Head of the Gambling Action Lab (GAL) and the Senior Research Officer to bring together a handful of representatives from financial services firms to explore ways to reduce gambling-related financial harms. The Senior Grants Officer (Business Development) will join ClientEarth’s thriving and growing Business Development team. A key role for securing new grant income, the postholder will play a crucial part in the research and cultivation of potential new funder relationships, and will develop and submit winning funding proposals to trusts, foundations and institutional donors.
They will manage their own portfolio of prospective funders, and undertake detailed prospect research into the foundation donor market whilst liaising with ClientEarth’s global teams across different programme areas and geographies. As part of the Business Development Team at ClientEarth, he manages the cultivation of new relationships with trusts and foundations in the US and securing new grant income. Alex joined ClientEarth in 2024 and is based in our London office.
Main Duties
- Prospect research and pipeline development - Proactively undertake research to identify, qualify and prioritise new funding prospects/ opportunities to support the build of a pipeline of high quality leads to guide future fundraising efforts;
- Business Development and Income generation - Draft clear and compelling written fundraising materials including cases for support, funding proposals, and concept notes;
- Systems and processes - Provide timely and accurate information to the Business Development Manager on funding opportunities in their portfolio and progress with workplan, as requested, to enable accurate monitoring and reporting to the Head of Business Development;

Role requirements
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
- Experience of working in a fundraising or business development role for a charity, NGO, private or public entity;
- Experience of drafting compelling and successful proposals for trusts, foundations and statutory institutions and securing multi-year grants, ideally at the six-figure level and above;
- Experience of supporting the relationship development process with a new donor, from prospect research through to ask.
- Strong project management skills to lead the proposal development process to meet funder deadlines, including stakeholder management;

The successful candidate will have demonstratable experience of creating marketing content. You will be self-motivated, creative and have the ability to produce digital content which is instantly engaging and has both an emotional and intellectual punch. The role holder will have experience in using the latest social media trends and developments in order to manage and grow online communities and to engage as well as implementing digital plans that expand our reach, impact and income.
The successful candidate will be pro-active and have excellent communication skills. You will be expected to work across our fundraising team, helping to develop and strengthen digital engagement across all relevant online platforms. This will require excellent interpersonal skill and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues throughout the organisation.

The Individual Giving Officer will play a crucial role in nurturing relationships with individuals, to give their donations and their time, to make a difference to the people with dyslexia that we support.
You will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and upgrade individual donors, ensuring a steady and growing stream of funding and support for the charity.

Main duties and responsibilities
· Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors to maximize financial support and our community of supporters.
· Plan and execute individual giving campaigns, across all available communication channels to engage donors effectively.
· Identify, organise and coordinate donor and community events, creating opportunities to engage, retain and celebrate supporters.
· Maintain accurate donor records, utilising data to inform decision-making and improve fundraising efforts.
· Prepare regular reports and analysis on individual giving performance.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive individual giving strategy.
· Ensure activities are delivered to budget and performance effectively tracked.
· Provide a monthly report to the Head of Fundraising
· Work closely with the Head of Fundraising, Trusts Fundraiser, PR & Communications Officer, Fundraising Administrator and CEO, and liaise with the rest of the charity’s team.
· Compliance: maintain accurate records in accordance with data protection and fundraising regulations.
· Strategy: play a part in assisting the Head of Fundraising and Chief Executive in developing the Fundraising Strategy, budget and targets in line with the charity’s Strategic Plan.
· Provide support with events and admin as needed, including attendance at functions outside of normal working hours.
Ideal skills and experience:
· Experience in generating income from all or one or two of the following: individual, community and events fundraising.
· Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to write compelling stories and innovative content for fundraising campaigns.
· A strong understanding of the importance of knowing your supporter base to maximise income through effective donor communication and engagement.
· Strong data management and analysis skills
· Good knowledge of current data protection/GDPR regulation.
· Good working knowledge of CRM databases and how to utilise to steward supporters.
· Good level of administrative and organisational competency
· Good IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases (currently Donorfy and Act!)
·Previous experience working in a charity/non-profit
· Willingness to attend events and meetings etc, for which expenses will be paid.
