Rock UK Head Office Team

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to provide high quality management and control of the finance function at our multi-site Christian outdoor adventure charity. Reporting to the Finance Director, the post holder will work closely with members of the senior management team to facilitate the smooth operation of Rock UK’s finances. He or she will be able to clearly and respectively communicate our Christian ethos, objectives, mission and vision to staff, suppliers and other stakeholders of all faiths and none.
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or equivalent, hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), have proficiency in using computerised financial systems, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

About this job
You’ll lead a full redesign of our in-house administration practices and workflows, including implementing a Shared Service technology solution to deliver an improved customer experience and internal processes. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading and managing in an HR Shared Service function.
- A track record of improving processes and delivering change.
- Excellent stakeholder skills, especially with senior leaders, managers and union reps.
- The ability to use data to inform strategy.
- Knowledge of HR help desk technology solutions / HR service management systems.
- A values-led, adaptable and proactive working style.
- Patience and adaptability to work within traditional or evolving structures, and an understanding that change often involves many voices and perspectives.

Job Purpose:

The 39th WAGGGS World Conference is a four-day event that will take place in Cambodia in June 2026 in partnership with the host organisation, the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia. This is the main platform for decision-makers in our 153 Member Organisations to gather for networking, learning and consultation on the direction of the Movement. A pre-event for youth attendees under the age of 30 will take place before the conference.
About the Role:
This role operates within a volunteer-led global charitable organisation with 153 Member Organisations. It provides the inspiration, knowledge and direction to continually protect and enhance WAGGGS’ rich legacy and expand its collective reach and impact. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and attendees from across our Movement - each bringing their own unique perspectives and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:

Be responsible for maintaining the registration site and event website (using the events management software, Cvent) including individual event databases, providing reports as required and ensuring good communication with participants via email.

Provide administrative and logistical support for all aspects of online and in-person Event Management. This includes assisting volunteers and staff with registration and platform issues, and, if appropriate, travel arrangements and accommodation.

Ensure internal and external communications with Member Organisations, participants, staff members and volunteers and event suppliers are timely, relevant and of a high quality.

Undertake the processing of grants, invoices, staff and volunteer expenses and other related financial administration ensuring compliance with legislation and WAGGGS policies and guidelines.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Therapy Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team (MDT) of colleagues to support a young person and their family for 22.5 hours per week virtually, at their home and in the community.

- A smart, kind, gentle 11 year old girl who lives at home with her mum and cat.
- Currently not accessing a school but has a team of supporters supporting an Education Other Than School Package.
- School and education have been very tricky in the past and so it’s important to build up confidence and wellbeing and take time to recover and make connections.
- This person loves Taylor Swift, Melaine Martinez and K-Pop. Animals are very important to this person, especially their cat and dogs are a favourite too!
- This person is very skilled at video editing and technology.
- Current activities which are enjoyable are; shopping, crafts, lots of play, listening to music, gaming, making/watching videos, skateboarding and spending time with animals.
- This person is autistic and has ADHD. She has a positive self-identify around these diagnoses and celebrates being neurodivergent and being part of the neurodivergent community.
- This person has additional anxiety disorders that make her distressed by demands or feeling forced to do things, and this anxiety can lead to her not being able to communicate when she wants and needs to.
Under the direction from an advisory teacher with the input from the Psychology, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy teams you will develop programmes of activity and provide these according to the young person's needs under the guidance of the team professionals.
You will provide advice, support and coaching for the young person and their family, under the guidance of the Therapy and Specialist Support (TSS) professionals. In addition you will attend meetings including MDT as required contributing to the young person's risk assessment and management plans ensuring that the young person is involved in their support planning wherever possible to facilitate their meaningful involvement in their progress.
About you:
- You have experience of supporting therapy programmes (as an assistant or other relevant role).
- You have experience of Continuing Professional Development.
- You have experience of working in specialist education.
- You have the ability to relate well to parents and carers.
- You are funny, energetic and have similar interests to this person.
- You like to be active and keep fit as a lot of the activities we do include running, jumping and climbing.
- You are understanding and accepting of people’s difference.
- You have patience and understanding when engagement is not possible.
- You are open to approaching things differently and taking the lead of the person.
- You are patient when it comes to building a connection, taking things slowly and learning from others in the team. This may take some time and that’s ok.
- You have Internet access skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- You can drive and have access to a vehicle so lots of activities can be accessed.

- You have experiences and training relevant to work with neurodivergent children who experience anxieties.
- You are good with technology including video editing, gaming and digital art.

We’re recruiting a forward thinking, strategic and compassionate Head of Family Services to lead the development of our support services delivered by our team of Family Support Workers to families of children and young people with cancer in the East Midlands. This is a newly created role and a key position in our small, impactful charity.
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in family support, health or social care, excellent people and communication skills, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of families facing childhood cancer.
The post holder will have direct line management responsibility for our team of Family Support Workers and Family Services Co-ordinator, providing leadership across service development, staff wellbeing, safeguarding, partnership engagement, and impact reporting. They will be responsible for ensuring that the team is supported through adequate training and supervision.
Partnership building with organisations and professionals will also form a part of this role and the post holder will build strong relationships with stakeholders across the health, social care and voluntary sectors.
Home based. Regular Teams and face-to-face meetings with travel to Leicester, Nottingham, and locations across the East Midlands required.

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s aid have for over 40 years supported women and children with services around domestic violence and abuse. Could you be a part of our team as we continue our mission to end domestic violence and abuse?
The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.
Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have colleagues offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.
We seek like-minded women to join our enthusiastic team of workers, all of us passionate about the vital and valuable work we do to support women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, and tackling the wider issues of violence against women and girls.
This role will develop and delivery family support and play sessions to children and their mothers in refuge and the community, as well as leading on domestice violence awareness sessions.
