Job description
Are you passionate about patient and public engagement, effecting system change, and improving services? Are you confident to design and carry out research, and tell the story of the findings in briefings and reports? Do you relish building relationships with external partners, and working together to bring about change? If so, we’d love to work with you to improve the experiences of people using health and social care services in Barnet.
As our Senior Research & Participation Officer, you will be working on an exciting new project to improve primary care access for residents. Your flair for planning and logistics will enable you to both gather evidence about the experiences of Barnet residents, and to collate existing data. You’ll also be comfortable producing accessible how-to guidance, to enable people experiencing health inequalities to access services.
The role will involve building effective relationships with stakeholders including GP Practice Managers, voluntary sector organisations and NHS Integrated Care Board partners. You will work with these stakeholders constructively and persuasively, to seed partnership initiatives and achieve positive change for Barnet residents.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.
- To know individual learning targets for each pupil in the group(s) and take specific action to enable individual pupil goals be achieved.
- To attend to the general care, maintenance and storage of classroom equipment.
STL 2 – Support Children’s Development
- Observe pupils, sharing observational findings, contribute to the implementation of activities to support development.
- Actively contribute towards record-keeping particularly in respect of pupil learning, therapeutic interventions, behaviour management, child protection and any other specific programme set up for individual pupils by the teacher / Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant / Therapist.
STL 3 – Help to keep Children Safe
- Undertake annual safeguarding training.

About the role
Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Legacy Fundraising Officer. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role will working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.
Over a third of Sense’s voluntary income comes from gifts in Wills. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of the legacy marketing programme for existing and new supporters, in order to increase income from legacies and maintain and grow .our pipeline of legacy prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- To work closely with the Legacy Manager and Head of Individual Giving & Legacies in shaping and delivering the legacy marketing and administration programme to achieve annual income targets and other KPIs.
- To manage the delivery of legacy marketing projects from conception to delivery and evaluation in conjunction with the appropriate team members.

Working Well is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and/or complex issues through training and employment.

The focus of the role is to support clients to achieve their employment goals, engaging with employers and training providers to secure vocational outcomes in line with client preferences.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. Experience working with individuals affected by learning disabilities and autism would be beneficial. The successful candidate must be comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, and working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
You will work closely with referring teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led. You will also be in working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
We are operating a hybrid working model in our Kingston team, with a combination of working from home and in the community with a required 3 days per week spent in our Kingston office.

The Ecommerce Warehouse Manager is a critical role which will support Scope to generate vital income for disabled people and their families. The role will work in partnership with the Online Sales Manager to ensure a smooth throughput of product and great customer and colleague experience.
Location: Scope’s Ecommerce Hub - Westlink Business Park, Salford, M50 1 BX.
Permanent, full time 35 hours a week
The hub operates from 8am - 8pm, Monday to Sunday.
Some evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required in line with Ecommerce Hub operating hours.
The role
The Ecommerce Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the warehouse operation of Scope’s Ecommerce hub runs effectively and efficiently. This includes leadership of the warehouse team, asset, and inventory management. As well as the continuous improvement of processes with a focus on driving efficiencies. The role will also lead on ensuring best-in-class health and safety at the site.
About you
- You will be a strong people leader with great communication skills.
- Have experience of managing a warehouse operation.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of implementing health and safety procedures is a must.
- Experience of setting and managing KPIs
- Experience of improving processes and driving efficiencies.
You will be managing a warehouse team who work evenings, weekends, and bank holiday shifts and will therefore be required to work in line with this work pattern too.
This role may involve working with Volunteer team members and will therefore require a DBS check.

The Supporter Care Coordinator role sits within the Supporter Experience team, whose goal is to ensure that all Scope supporters, whether they are giving time, money, or voice, have the best experience each time they interact with us.
The role
The Supporter Care team is the first point of contact for all supporter and donor queries, so you will be at the frontline, engaging with a variety of people contacting Scope. The role of the Supporter Care Coordinator is to ensure that each of these people feels appreciated, informed, and satisfied after engaging with Scope, leaving them feeling valued and committed to giving their ongoing support.
You will:
· Be responsible for handling incoming queries from supporters, across telephone, email, and post, as well handling outbound supporter service calls and other communications.

· Report to the Supporter Care Team Leader, and sit within the wider Fundraising team.
· Work closely with colleagues across the directorate, providing support in key periods, and contributing to overall fundraising income goals and an improved supporter experience.

Our partner, an international charity, seeks an interim finance manager to support the international finance team. The successful candidate will be an all-rounder, with experience in preparing consolidated annual accounts, management accounts, whilst being hands on and taking on transactional elements of the role.
Responsibilities
- Day to day accounting and administration, including posting transactions; payment of suppliers and staff expenses; international bank transfers to overseas country offices; setting up and processing regular giving payments, and processing one off donations; banking; and process monthly payroll.
- Undertake reconciliations of bank and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including BVA analysis and summaries, and income and expenditure reports for budget holders.
- Prepare the annual consolidated accounts and financial statements, and support in the preparation of the annual audit, liaising with the overseas country offices.
Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant with all-round experience working in a small team within an international charity. Experience of leading on the production of annual consolidated accounts as per charity SORP in the UK, management accounts & analysis, and managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks.
- Hands on, able to manage a varied workload.
- Strong business partnering skills, able to work with finance and non-finance staff in the UK and overseas offices, budget holders and liaise with third parties, including banks and auditors.
- Strong communication skills.
This is a part-time role (3-4 days/week), that can be done either remotely or hybrid, coming into the office 1 day/week. We are looking for passionate and adaptable Sessional Inclusion Workers to join our Activities for All service in Leeds.
You will offer short-term, one to one support to disabled children encouraging their inclusion in mainstream play and leisure activities.
As a part of the role you will encourage universal play and leisure activities to be inclusive of all children.
Working hours will tend to be after-school and evenings during the week and weekends.
The hours are flexible and can fit around studies or another job.
About you
Essential:
- You will have experience of inclusion work with children and young people with additional needs in play and leisure settings
- Be able to show a knowledge of inclusion policies and procedures
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be able to work on your own initiative as well as following set procedures and working with others
- Have strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Be able to travel across Leeds
