We have over 120 member organisations in the UK and Ireland providing counselling, emotional support and advocacy for women, men, young people and children who have been affected by rape or sexual abuse/exploitation at any time in their lives.

We support our member agencies by providing a wide range of infrastructure support including regional meetings, networking events, specialist forums and workshops and representing our member agencies in national meetings.  We provide accredited training for Independent Sexual Violence Advisors and bespoke training and workshops for professionals and organisations.  We run a national helpline for anyone who has been affected by sexual violence in any way.

We’re looking for a Fundraising Officer to join our small and friendly team at our head office in Rugby, working with our Income Generation Manager to ensure our income meets the increasing demands for our services.

You will lead on developing and supporting trust, grant, commissioned and community fundraising activities, including researching fundraising opportunities and writing grant applications, working in collaboration with the Income Generation Manager.  Supporting our amazing community fundraisers is an important element of the role, providing fundraising newsletters, updates and maintaining our fundraising webpages.

You will ideally have previous experience of working in the voluntary sector and experience of developing funding applications and building relationships with donors and fundraisers, but please don’t be put off applying if you don’t meet all these requirements.  The right candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively in a friendly and professional manner, with excellent IT skills. 

You will be required to undergo DBS clearance to work at The Survivors Trust.

Full-time - 35 hours per week, flexible working hours

The opportunity:

Battersea’s multiple award-winning Income Generation department raises around 60% of the Charity’s total income. Working with colleagues across the organisation, they provide members of the public and organisations with opportunities to engage with Battersea and to support our work. Within this department sits the Challenge and Public Events team who deliver challenge events, including charity places in the London Marathon and Royal Parks Half Marathon, and our multiple award-winning Muddy Dog Challenge series.

This team is looking for someone to join them as a Challenge and Public Events Assistant on a 6-month contract, to be the first point of contact for fundraising products, In-Celebration and community supporters, as well as our carol concert attendees, delivering exceptional supporter care and building long-lasting relationships. They will also provide administrative support to the Senior Challenge & Public Events Officers to deliver a portfolio of fundraising events and activities, as well as take the lead on small projects.

This will be a rewarding opportunity to play a role in giving the dogs and cats in our care a better life, and we are looking for someone who has experience of delivering outstanding supporter/customer care, is able to work collaboratively with colleagues from other teams, and has a full, valid UK driving license and is confident driving vans and other vehicles.

Context of the role.

The successful candidate will be guided by the Communications & Fundraising Officer to communicate the experiences of refugees and asylum seekers and demonstrate the impact of Upbeat Communities to our supporters and followers, as well as to new audiences. The role can mostly be done remotely; however, it will be required for the candidate to travel to our base in Derby a minimum of 1 day a week to stay connected to the team, and for team meetings and training as and when they occur.

• Focusing on victims of domestic abuse, providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service

• Have strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and to their friends, families and carers. Our projects empower ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after their surgery and give them the confidence to take on fresh challenges. We advocate for ostomates’ rights and are their voice on the bigger issues. Our campaigns raise awareness of ‘life with a stoma’ and encourage organisations to make their facilities more inclusive.

About the role:

As the Volunteers and Support Administrator you will provide efficient administration to our support services and volunteer team. You will also undertake any admin duties involved with running the Colostomy UK office and support other members of the team. You will be answering and re-directing incoming calls on our stoma helpline. You won’t be providing support to callers; however you will need to have an empathetic approach whilst explaining that you will arrange a support call back from one of our volunteers. You will action calls that come through on our admin line and manage our central email inbox, ensuring requests are actioned promptly. You will organise volunteer rotas, help with onboarding our volunteers and organise incoming and outgoing post. The postholder will take minutes at meetings, ensure the office is kept tidy and co-ordinate stock delivery for events and exhibitions.

Our ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate for this position is organized, efficient, and reliable, capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently. They will possess excellent customer care skills, demonstrating a professional and empathetic telephone manner. Attention to detail is vital, along with strong time management abilities. The successful post holder will have effective verbal and written communication skills, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft programs and accurate data entry. While prior administration experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Your role

Church Mission Society is passionate about God’s mission and fired up to see more and more people become followers of Jesus. As one of two Church and Supporter Care Officers you will bring delight to our donors by successfully dealing with their enquiries as their first port of call. You will also proactively contact supporters and churches to encourage them to give and engage with CMS. The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a customer/supporter facing environment. Administrative skills are essential and experience in telephoning to get results in a customer care environment is highly desirable.

We’re looking for an experienced trainer to lead on the implementation and delivery of the Learning and Development framework issued by the House of Bishops.

• Be responsible for the organisation, implementation and delivery of the national safeguarding learning and development framework  
• Provide high quality face to face and online training to office holders (Clergy, Readers, those with Permission to Officiate), employees and volunteers in the Diocese of Coventry.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the national training and adapt materials as appropriate for the diocese.
• Network and liaise with safeguarding trainers from other dioceses and be part of the regional and national training network to share knowledge and best practice.
• Assist in supporting a small team of volunteer trainers capable of delivering training within the Diocese of Coventry.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of national and local safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Be responsible for safeguarding training administration
• In conjunction with the DSA, undertake continual evaluation, review and monitoring of the learning and development framework and other training materials so that they are kept up-to-date with new legislation, guidelines and best practice in safeguarding.
• Be responsible for safeguarding training information on different platforms
• In liaison with the DSA/ADSA, respond to and act upon requests for advice, information and guidance from individuals in the church who are concerned about the welfare of a child or adult at risk of harm.
• To undertake any other activity within the scope of the safeguarding team’s work, and the role-holder’s skills and experience, as reasonably requested by the DSA.

The post holder is an employee of the Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF) and is line managed by the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor.

Other key relationships include the Diocesan Safeguarding team, Parish Safeguarding Officers, Clergy and Readers.

An enhanced DBS check will be required.

About this job

As the social media officer, you’ll help manage an audience of more than 200,000 people across X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube. You’ll respond to comments and messages from the public, engage with our audiences and work with our MS Helpline team to ensure vulnerable supporters get the help they need.

You’ll have a genuine passion for creating engaging social content and a keen interest in the latest trends and social media platform developments.

Working closely with our Social and Paid Media Manager, you will help to scope for and identify new opportunities to grow our online community developing engaging content across news, media, support, information and our core campaigns.

Planning and strong copy-writing skills are essential and you will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You’ll also help maintain regular reports on KPIs and performance.

And lastly, you’ll be joining our friendly and supportive team at an exciting stage of our development, as we continue to use digital to help improve the lives of people living with MS.
