We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated communications professional with significant experience of devising and delivering impactful communications strategies and an impressive track record of effective media work.
You need to be able to create ambitious, highly strategic plans from scratch and then enjoy rolling up your sleeves and delivering them. Key skills and experience
- A degree in a subject area relevant to our work. A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.

- Experience in presenting to groups and facilitating workshops. Enthusiasm to travel would be a big advantage.
- Extensive experience as a writer in the areas of sustainable development, science or health, with a demonstrated flair for writing compelling, engaging text that effectively communicates key messages.

Role & Responsibilities:
Supported by the CEO and the previous project manager (now full-time on a parallel project) and working with a small team of project staff, the Project Manager will:
- Manage the project, informed by the project design and existing workplans and budgets;
- Mobilise existing relationships with makerspaces in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa;
- Oversee makerspace’s bidding application processes for training and financial support;
- Manage donor processes including milestone reports and sharing deliverables;
- Assist with the appointment and management of freelance consultants and developers;
- Prepare for and attend key event in Cape Town in November 2024;
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, deliverables, outputs and impacts;
- Manage and chair monthly stakeholder meetings and regular donor meetings, all online;
- Complete and submit quarterly reporting, and oversee progress against the budget.

About the role

This is a part-time position working 30 hours a week. The starting salary for this position will be £34,730 to £42,446 pro rata per annum, depending on experience. Working patterns can be arranged to suit you. This will be complemented by;

Internal comms (50%)
· Support colleagues from across the organisation to develop communications plans for initiatives and change projects.
· Author or edit stories and content to inspire, motivate and inform our colleagues
· Design and distribute email communications to segments of our staff community

About the role:
Crimestoppers is looking for a talented Marketing Communications Assistant to work with our Marketing Communications Manager to deliver online and offline, internal and external marketing communications activity in order to increase brand awareness, engagement and lead generation.
You will support the delivery of internal, volunteering, regional and business growth and fundraising communications plans, internal communications activity, and managing multi-channel campaigns, including the website, e-mail, e-shots, and digital channels in-order-to achieve campaign objectives.
Key responsibilities of our Marketing Communications Assistant:
- Working closely with the Marketing Communication Manager/and wider marcomms team to deliver online and offline marketing communications activity to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation
- Liaising with third party suppliers and agencies to ensure requirements are delivered on time and within budget
- Working with business development and regional colleagues to deliver integrated campaigns and provide the appropriate reporting metrics
- Acting as a brand guardian across all Crimestoppers’ communications and assets
- Supporting the Marketing Communications Manager with the provision of campaign metrics and analytics to support the collation of monthly/annual reports, ensuring learnings from previous campaigns are included in future campaign activities
