Responsibilities include:

Leadership, Strategy and Governance

• To be an active member of the Made in Hackney Senior Leadership Team, working together to galvanise the organisation behind our strategic plan.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The role leads on the delivery of Bond’s corporate and CEO level events. This role is managed by the Head of Communications but also works with the corporate and marketing team, the Director of Membership and Communications and CEO. 

The primary focus of this role is to manage and deliver high-quality events for Bond’s corporate partners to help them reach their target audiences, and to deliver high level events for CEOs and senior leaders across our network to help provide senior leaders with the support and skills needed to provide effective and supportive leadership. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Corporate events:

• Manage and deliver a range of events to fulfil contractual commitments with corporate partners.
• Ensure the successful execution of events, including hybrid and face-to-face components, across various locations including potential European venues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality events that meet partner expectations and contribute to revenue generation.

2) CEO engagement events:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive program of events targeting CEOs and senior leaders within our network.
• Coordinate logistics, including speaker liaison, venue sourcing, and event planning for CEO events throughout the year.
• Work closely with senior management to align events with organisational goals and strategies outlined in Bond’s membership strategy.

3) Special projects:

4) General

• Ensure events logistics, including working with any contractors and with any external booking systems are successfully delivered.

• Support all digital content of uploading and editing sessions and speakers on the Bond website.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The ideal candidate would:
• Have at least 2 years experience of events organisation and management in a similar or comparable setting

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with sponsors, event partners and participants.

World Child Cancer is seeking an experienced corporate and philanthropy fundraiser to join our growing team and play a vital role in improving the chances of survival and quality of life of children with cancer in under-resourced countries.

About World Child Cancer

Over 400,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. Childhood cancer is most often curable, with over 80% survival rate in high income countries. However, in many low-and-middle-income countries survival rates are often 25% or lower.

World Child Cancer’s goal is to help redress that inequity and improve the chances of children with cancer to survive and thrive in under-resourced countries. We currently work with local hospitals in 12 countries in Africa, Asia and Mexico to enable children with cancer to have equal access to the best possible treatment and care through awareness raising on signs of childhood cancer, providing financial, logistical and emotional support to address barriers to access treatment, training of healthcare workers and advocacy.

Overview of the role

This newly created Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager role will play a key part in raising income from companies and philanthropists to help achieve World Child Cancer’s mission.

You will be passionate about enabling children with cancer to have equitable access to quality treatment wherever they are born. A proven track record in corporate and major gift fundraising with evidence of successful solicitation of six figure gifts and multi-year gifts

This role will support the Director of Development & External Relations to develop new philanthropic relationships to ensure successful solicitation of major gifts, repeat gifts and increased value gifts. This is a great role for someone wanting to step into fundraising from a different sector who is great at research/ writing/ building relationships.

What the Philanthropy Officer will do:

• This role will qualify and identify major donors and also research potential family foundations and certain trusts.
• Will support the DoD with due diligence tasks and general reporting
• Build relationships up internally and externally with stakeholders.

Ideally the Philanthropy Officer will have experience of:

• Demonstrable experience in prospect research, major gift fundraising or prospect pipeline
• management.

The role 

We have experienced an exponential growth in income from public fundraising leading to an increased awareness of fuel poverty. To build on this success and maintain increased unrestricted income from a wider fundraising mix, we are recruiting a new Fundraising Assistant to offer vital support for all fundraising activities. This new role will join a small, proactive team who raise funds from a variety of sources including trust and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, events and community fundraisers and individual giving.

As Fundraising Assistant, you will provide admin and fundraising support across the Fundraising and Partnerships Team and excellent customer service to supporters, partners, fundraisers, and internal stakeholders in pursuit of the overall strategy of the Fundraising and Partnerships Team.

What you will need to succeed 

You will have demonstrable experience of working in fundraising, business development, customer service or a similar background.

You will also assist with the implementation of the NEA donor journey and stewardship activities, organisation of fundraising events as required – as well as supporting with donor communication and retention.

With such an array of opportunities you will need to have a high attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and be exceptionally organised.

You should be based in Newcastle upon Tyne or within a commutable distance, with some infrequent travel on an ad-hoc basis.

We’re seeking a Senior Philanthropy Manager to join our fantastic Philanthropy and Partnerships team following an internal promotion.

Over the last five years, the Philanthropy team has gone from strength to strength, and we are now laying the foundations for long-term growth. We are building the tools, vision, and expertise to drive philanthropic income at Pancreatic Cancer UK and the Senior Philanthropy Manager is a key role in helping us deliver on our mission to double survival rates of pancreatic cancer by growing major donor income.

This role is responsible for delivering on three key areas of the major donor programme:

-Managing and growing a portfolio of major donor and high value supporters. Specifically focusing on encouraging and making the ask for long-term, multi-year 5-6 figure gifts.

-Driving major donor new business activity to build a sustainable pipeline using internal data analysis tools alongside network mapping exercises.

-Working collaboratively across the team to provide tailored stewardship journeys and experiences which build meaningful relationships with our closest supporters and demonstrate the impact of their support on our mission.  

About You 

· You will have a track record of securing philanthropic donations and growing major donor pipelines.

· You will be a brilliant relationship fundraiser, able to build relationships, garner trust and inspire action.

· You will be curious about people, their motivations to support us and able to pursue and seek out new opportunities.

Room to Heal is a human rights charity and therapeutic community based in London. Our mission is to support people who have survived or witnessed torture and organised violence to rebuild their lives in exile, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team and lead our fundraising efforts. This is a key role in ensuring we have the resources to continue providing vital support to survivors of torture and human rights violations. As the Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, building relationships with key donors, and exceeding fundraising goals. We are predominantly funded by Trusts and Foundations and you will play a very important role in maintaining and expanding this funder base, as well as helping Room to Heal to diversify our income streams.
