Walking and working alongside our partners, you will strengthen, develop, and manage relationships with a varied portfolio of local partner organisations, churches, and local stakeholders to deliver high-impact programmes to benefit communities in need of assistance - helping them to realise their God-given potential.  Sharing their compassion for Christ, you will work strategically with Partners to support their proposal development and delivery of high-impact, locally-owned projects.  You will be responsible for grant management, ensuring organisational governance and controls provide accountability both locally and internationally, including safeguarding practise.

We are looking for someone to join us in strengthening relationships with our broad base of local Christian partner organisations carrying out Gospel inspired work in the region.  Who can bring experience of managing, monitoring and evaluation of locally-owned programmes, to support the development of high-impact projects.  Has an understanding and awareness of the context, dynamics, and challenges of working in the Middle East. Alongside the skills and ability to identify compelling messages from partnership communications to gain support, through prayer, donations and support for our advocacy work. 

Suitable candidates will be:

• Educated to degree level equivalent.

• Inspired by the witness of Christians in the Middle East and passionate about changing the lives of people living in grinding poverty, injustice, disability, trauma and displacement caused by conflict, and other challenges.
• Willing to carry out overseas travel to the region 3-4 times a year.

• Advanced or intermediate Arabic would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

Key responsibilities of the MI Data Systems Manager include:

• Supporting the Deputy Director and Senior Systems Manager to develop, implement and manage the MI service.
• Monitoring of data integrity and quality within the database.
• Preparing the submission of mandatory management information to the Department for Education within set deadlines and to national standards.
• Supporting a MI helpline to users of the system.
• Interrogation of the database to conduct analysis and create reports.

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) is a membership organisation and the voice of the profession, with over 4,000 members in the UK and overseas. Our role is to champion the specialty, set standards of training and practice, and influence change to make a difference to the lives of patients with eye conditions.

Job Purpose

The National Ophthalmology Database (NOD) is a core Department workstream using clinical audit data to identify improvements and provide advice, to inform patient care, safety, and service delivery. This is a new role working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and support the programe manager to deliver activities of the NOD. The post requires strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. The role will be responsible for all aspects of project support and day-to-day management of the NOD website, including implementation of new developments with the supplier and analysis of usage to suggest areas for improvement.

Main Areas of Work and Responsibility

• Assist the NOD Manager in project planning to identify and track deviations from the project plan and budget, identifying and logging any risks and issues, and improving project procedures
• Support the NOD Manager with administration, project outputs, applying and explaining the information governance, outlier, and other project policies to stakeholders
• Management of the NOD website including liaising with the website supplier, working with the NOD Manager to develop a content schedule, editing content, assisting users with queries, authorising user access
• Review and analyse website performance and make recommendations for improvement
• Lead and manage the delivery of specific workstreams as agree with the NOD Manager
• Administer virtual and in person meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, following up actions
• Liaison with the project teams and RCOphth functions e.g. policy and communications team  
• Process and respond to incoming correspondence, providing information and guidance to stakeholders and project participants
• To maintain and update audit contact databases (Microsoft Excel and CRM) assisting with its ongoing development and testing.
• Assist the NOD Manager with recruitment of organisations to take part in the audits
• Assisting with editing and proofreading project outputs and ensure they adhere to branding and house style guidelines
• To undertake other administrative duties as required. For example, finance/processing purchase order information to enable subscription invoices to be issued

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

• At least two/three years’ experience in a similar project support role
• Experience of website administration/management including use of Google analytics, Content Management Systems and liaising with developers
• Experience of working with customer relationship management databases to support effective project administration
• Experience of coordinating activities for complex/substantial work programmes, with numerous ‘external’ customers, to challenging deadlines
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project

The Advice Manager will take the lead on BIAS’s day-to-day advice services, managing a small team of advice specialists to ensure that we provide the highest-quality service to our clients. KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES

Staff management

• Managing a small advice team, ensuring the quality of the advice provided.
• Providing support and supervision to staff on the delivery of advice services, ensuring that appropriate advice is provided and casework deadlines are met.
• Ensuring good teamwork and lines of communication between staff, volunteers and partner agencies.

Quality and service delivery

• Leading the welfare advice services, including contributing to possible future expansion.
• Maintaining a small personal caseload (approximately one day’s work per week).
• Working with the Operations Manager to ensure that BIAS maintains the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and is successful in AQS renewal.
• Leading on monitoring service delivery, recording outcomes and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Managing all aspects of risk relating to advice delivery, complaints handling, safeguarding and GDPR.

Operational support

• Working with the leadership team as required on operational matters, including planning, strategy for future development and grant applications and reporting.

WHAT DOES BIAS DO?

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our Active Ageing Clubs and our Be-a-friend volunteer scheme. We raise over £1 million in extra income for the most vulnerable every year and have over 3000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has exciting plans for possible further expansion in 2024 and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

About the Role

Through our range of programmes, we work to inspire and empower young people, whatever their background to succeed in work and life. A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to manage the delivery of our EDI programmes and have a real impact on the participation of underrepresented groups in our programmes, as well as building on our established position within the skills sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing, managing and evaluating senior stakeholder relationships with external networks. With a proven track record of consistently delivering projects and programmes with high-quality results, the successful candidate will have up to date ED&I knowledge and demonstrable experience of raising the profile of an organisation within this setting.  The candidate will be experienced in development of programmes and partnerships to suit delivery of strategic objectives, and be able to project manage internal colleagues to deliver against set KPIs.

The successful candidate will have a passion for working within a charity that focuses on developing young people from all backgrounds, and will have the experience, knowledge and understanding to drive forward EDI in external facing programmes.

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead, develop and deliver WorldSkills UK’s external Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) programmes supported by stakeholder engagement strategies across our network of industry, education and government. The role will ensure that we engage external stakeholders to help deliver our ambition to be a leader, partner and ally in creating positive change for ED&I in the skills sector.

Key tasks and responsibilities

1. Deliver positive action activity for change:

• Support the development and delivery of WorldSkills UK’s external ED&I strategy. Ensure it is fit for purpose, has recognised long term goals and will deliver measurable change, reflecting organisational priorities around increased engagement with ethnic minority groups and females. Provide an overarching framework and help further develop strategic KPIs for our ED&I work, ensuring effective use of data, monitoring progress and performance.
• Work with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop action plans that will drive our continuous improvement:
  • Support our skills competition development programmes to increase the diversity of young people engaged
  • Support the development of role models to showcase the impact of our work and encourage diversity in key areas of industry, including future priority skill areas
  • Support the development of learning resources that aid engagement with underrepresented groups
  • Support teams to ensure ED&I matters are considered and addressed as key components of all strategies, plans and programmes.

2. Manage the ED&I Advisory Group:

• This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced and prominent senior individuals from across education and industry who are invested in driving the agenda for ED&I.
• Lead the administration and ongoing development of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group.
• Engage the Group to help support, advise and challenge WorldSkills UK on its actions to remove obstacles and barriers faced by young people from under-represented backgrounds in our programmes.
• Report regularly to the Group on progress against KPI’s and facilitate reports for the WorldSkills UK Board.

3. Project Manage the ED&I Heroes Awards

• The Awards is an established flagship event which provides a platform for WorldSkills UK to celebrate success with its partners, amplify best practice and inspire others to drive change across the skills systems in education and business.
• Project manage delivery of the annual Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Heroes Awards, supported by relevant internal teams
  • Establish the nominations process
  • Co-ordinate the judging panel
  • Organise the awards ceremony
  • Manage the support of the awards partners.

4. Manage strategic relationships

• Manage a portfolio of ED&I focused Strategic Partnerships with organisations from across the skills sector, facilitating their support and engagement with our EDI programmes.
• Grow our network of partners to widen our reach, help further drive work in this area and collectively impact on the sector.
• Advise and support the development of the CEO’s international activities on ED&I with WorldSkills International (WSI).

5. Raise the profile of WorldSkills UK’s ED&I work:

• Work with teams across the organisation to support our Mission to ignite a national and global movement to help more young people, regardless of their background, get the best possible start in work and life.
• Support the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and Marketing and Communications Team to showcase the impact of our programmes:
  • Help to externally profile and articulate the value and impact of our activities using the channels and tools available
  • Seek opportunities to advocate for our work through stakeholder engagement and networking
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships team to identify and secure commercial income related to our ED&I initiatives.
  • Work across the organisation to build on existing external relationships and develop new strategic partnerships that reinforce our position as a skills sector leader.

6. Internal ED&I Liaison:

• Whilst not responsible for WorldSkills UK’s internal ED&I activities and agenda it is anticipated that the post holder will spend up to 10% of their time supporting and working with the Corporate Affairs team on internal ED&I matters, with the remaining 90% spent on external work.
• It is not essential that the postholder has extensive experience in this area.

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.

We are seeking a Property & Facilities Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the properties of Richmond Team Ministry and their facilities. The properties include three churches, their associated church halls, vicarages, Parish Office and investment properties.

We are looking for someone with property and facilities management experience including managing small building projects and related finance and budgeting.  S/he needs to be able to work collaboratively as part of a small team and have the ability to take the initiative and develop the role while supporting the ethos of the Richmond Team Ministry.

The purpose of the Delivery and Partnerships Lead is to enable multidisciplinary project teams to succeed in their objectives by applying the most relevant delivery and project management techniques and frameworks with a solutions-focused approach, alongside providing critical administrative and logistical support to keep projects in their portfolios moving forward.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to take on the day-to-day running of the Digital Champions project and network. Digital Champions are volunteers who inspire and motivate others to get online, while encouraging and supporting them to develop their digital skills and confidence. As the project continues to evolve, there will be an increased focus on Digital Champions placed in local health care settings across the borough. Digital Champions will operate at local community venues including Community Pharmacies, Phlebotomy clinics, and at community events, with a strong focus on NHS App promotion to Bexley residents. This is an opportunity to be at the centre of an exciting, innovative partnership project, working closely with the statutory and voluntary sector partners in taking the scheme into a new phase of development. Key Duties:

• To be the first point of contact for the existing network of Digital Champions in the borough, and support organisations to recruit, onboard and manage new Digital Champions.
• To directly manage a pool of Digital Champions under BVSC and lead on recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• To organise regular online and face-to-face meetings for Digital Champions.
• To develop and implement a communications plan that raises awareness of the Digital Champions Network in Bexley and of the challenges and opportunities digital inclusion presents.
• To explore new opportunities with partners and the sector more broadly in a way that aims to expand the digital champions project and create a more digitally inclusive culture for Bexley residents.

Zero Carbon Guildford (ZCG) is looking for an experienced, organised and capable project development coordinator to help build and support our projects and enable our fantastic volunteer community to achieve more in their climate and environmental impact goals.

We are a Surrey-based charity offering practical solutions which help residents and businesses cut waste and emissions, remove confusion and misinformation on how to make a difference, and provide local solutions to a global crisis.

Overview & Purpose 

The role of the Project Development Coordinator is to assist existing ZCG projects in achieving maximum impact, and develop new projects where ideas have been put forward or gaps are identified. You will provide project management support, forming teams of self-sufficient volunteers, and provide support in monitoring and evaluation. You will be part of a team comprising paid staff and volunteers. As such, alongside project development your focus will be on supporting and nurturing personal development within the volunteer base whilst driving forward the Charity’s objectives.

An important part of the role is to help effectively communicate these objectives and the associated outcomes of ZCG projects to the public and stakeholders, in line with our engagement strategy. This will include assisting with the coordination of project-focused outreach events, the development of displays, as well as responding to email, social media and telephone enquiries, recognising that every conversation is an opportunity for further collaboration. 

Fundraising is key to the stability of the charity. The Project Development role will help to identify and develop fundraising activities which help projects to be somewhat self-sustaining. This will include identifying available funding pots and understanding project teams’ funding needs, as well as raising funds through events and community fundraising. 

We are advertising this role alongside an Operations Coordinator, and envisage each of these being ~4 days a week, which will include some evening and weekend hours. However, we are eager to recruit the best possible combination of people to the team, and will consider different working arrangements (either fewer or more hours), and individuals with experiences across the two roles.

This role is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Tasks 

• Support the successful operation of ZCG projects. This includes:

  • Liaising with project leads to ensure projects are fully resourced, including volunteer help, marketing and messaging, IT support, funding etc. 

  • Ensuring project leads are aware of and are complying with ZCG safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Maintaining oversight of project activities and events to avoid duplication of effort, and communicate project activity to Operations and Trustee teams

  • Work with the Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinator to ensure efficient advertising and fulfillment of volunteer roles, and encourage volunteers to actively participate in the running of projects. 

  • We envisage that this role would act as the Team Leader for the project-specific paid roles which exist for a small subset of our projects (currently three part time paid staff). 

• Support the initiation of new ZCG projects, including:

  • Exploring the feasibility, community need, and impact of new projects and assist with project proposals for Operations & Trustees, and planning and resourcing initial requirements for successful project implementation. .

  • Work with third party organisations to develop joint projects where appropriate

  • Identify and manage fundraising opportunities, such as events, membership structures, donation drives etc. ensuring all activities are within the environmental and social ethos of the charity.

• Ensuring project activity and results are communicated and reported effectively, including: 

  • Developing a key understanding of ZCG Engagement so that volunteers and activities are guided to create impactful messaging 

  • Assist projects with event planning and effective marketing 

  • Work with the Operations Team to help coordinate project information and messaging within ZERO

  • Support with reporting of project activity and results to the Operations teams and the Trustees. 

• Work with the other employees and volunteers as part of the Operations Team at ZCG to support smooth, and effective operation of the charity, and delivery of our charitable aims - this includes: 

  • Keeping up to date with correspondence on our online workspace, Slack, joining fortnightly Operations meetings (usually on a Tuesday evening) and contributing to Operations activities and decisions.

  • Engaging members of the public who contact the charity online, by phone and through email

  • Actively champion our equality and diversity policy to foster an inclusive environment ensuring that all projects are enjoyable and a welcoming places to volunteer.

  • Undertake training as required.

Person Specification:

As  Project Development Coordinator, you will be well-organised, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate a wide range of people. You will be passionate about environmental and climate topics, and about making a positive impact on the community. 

As such, you will:

• Have a commitment to climate and environmental issues. A deep scientific and social knowledge is not a prerequisite for the role, but a willingness and ability to learn more and develop this understanding is vital. 

• Work well within a team setting - experience leading people and working with volunteers would be highly relevant and desirable.

• Be well-organised, reliable and able to manage your own time effectively. Project management skills and experience is desirable for this role. 

• Have excellent communication skills, including to groups and individuals with different perspectives and backgrounds. In particular, this includes being able to lead, engage and motivate teams of people, and provide direction and a framework for them to excel. People management / team leadership experience is desirable for this role.

• Be resilient to changing situations and requirements; good at problem solving and thinking on your feet. 

• Have basic IT skills, for example including basic office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with / ability to learn Slack, Google Mail, Google Drive / G-suite and Canva (note that we can help you learn these specific applications as long as you are generally IT-literate). Familiarity with digital design tools, such as Canva, will be desirable for this role. 

Practicalities:

• This role reports to the Operations Lead of Zero Carbon Guildford

• We envisage this role to be 4 days a week, including 1 evening meeting a fortnight, and may include some weekend working. However, we are keen to see the best candidates available, and so if you have differing requirements of hours, please don't hesitate to get in touch. 

• Based in the ZERO building in the centre of Guildford with some local travel for which expenses can be claimed.

• Annual salary of up to £30,000 full time equivalent depending on experience (at 4 days a week, this would come to £24,000 per annum)

• This is a permanent post, depending on the charity circumstances and funding.
