Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting recruitment related activities and other HR processes, including onboarding

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern:

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

Job Title: Housing Officer

Working arrangements 

This is a field-based role covering London & the surrounding counties, East Anglia and up to the Midlands. You will need to live within the geographical area, or you must be able to relocate to this region.

This leading women’s health charity is looking for a permanent Senior Media and PR Manager to take the lead on all media activity relating to its fundraising and brand marketing work. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-impact stories that inspire action.
 
This is a senior-level role involves developing and delivering strategic media plans that raise awareness, increase support, and position the charity as a partner of choice for donors, fundraisers and corporate sponsors. The successful candidate will manage a small team, shape national media coverage for campaigns and events, and work closely with brand and marketing teams to ensure consistent, impactful messaging.
 
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in high-profile media relations, excellent writing and planning skills, and the confidence to lead on proactive and reactive PR. Strong stakeholder management, agency coordination and team leadership experience are essential.
 
This is a full time role, five days per week, two of which will need to be in the office.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver proactive media and PR strategies across fundraising, brand campaigns, and corporate partnerships to drive awareness, income, and engagement
• Monitor the news agenda daily to identify opportunities, manage risk, and ensure the organisation is positioned as a leading voice in its field
• Line manage senior team members, contribute to process improvements, and support the development and delivery of team objectives
• Build strong relationships with journalists and media, provide strategic advice to stakeholders, and lead on media training and spokesperson preparation
• Oversee content creation and sign-off, contribute to a 24/7 press office function, and deputise for senior leadership when required

• Proven experience leading media campaigns across fundraising and brand marketing
• Strong contacts within national media and an instinct for compelling storytelling
• Experience managing agencies and working cross-functionally

We’re recruiting for an Evaluation Manager to join our Impact and Evaluation Team. In this role, you will design, commission and manage large-scale, complexity-appropriate evaluations, focused on funding programmes or thematic topics driven by our Missions Framework. To inspire people with complex mental health conditions to progress, and to gain and sustain paid employment.  The Senior Employment Specialist will support clients directly by managing a caseload and will also support and develop the wider IPS team. The Senior Employment Specialist will work across the local NHS secondary care network alongside NHS clinicians to secure client referrals.

To work with clients with complex mental health conditions, you will need to be comfortable supporting people who have experienced / are experiencing serious mental health challenges, as well as possibly other serious difficulties in their lives.  Although you will receive full training and support, it's important you are aware of the potential impact this may have on your own mental wellbeing.

The Senior Employment Specialist will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.

Excellent networking and employer engagement skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of the support needs of people with mental health conditions in securing, returning to, or retaining mainstream employment. Our client is looking for people to join their Bristol Complex Needs service in Speedwell and Totterdown as Project Workers. Their projects provide accommodation and housing related support to people experiencing homelessness; dedicated to providing a safe, high quality and inclusive service to people while they are living in the hostel, and a positive move-on into independent housing. 

In the role of Project Worker, you will:

• Oversee a caseload of clients and provide ongoing 1-1 support in an approachable, caring and person-centred way.
• Provide practical and personal support to clients with complex needs around areas such as housing and health. 
• Have a good understanding of a person centred approach and how to provide the right support to clients to meet individual needs, identifying personal aims and ambitions and making plans to achieve them.  
• Work with the team, external statutory agencies and voluntary organisations to ensure everyone has access to available support.  
• Continue to develop your skills further around working with clients in a holistic way, and to gain a deeper understanding of housing and benefits law, and other specialist areas through training, supervision and line management support. 

These roles have a variety of weekly shift-based rotas (Monday Friday and Monday-Sunday). Further information will be provided at interview. In some of these role’s staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor agreed attendance levels and activity budget.
• To promote clubs and share stories via social media. Manage cohort numbers and waiting lists efficiently.  
• Lead in Administering medication, PEG feeds and undertaking movement and handling for children and young people with complex health needs. Undergo relevant training and transfer this knowledge onto the staff team.
• Work closely with individual children and young people and their families to identify a range of social, recreational and leisure activities to meet the needs of young people and children.
• Ensure that all young people are made to feel valued and enabled to develop and improve self-esteem, life skills, self-confidence and positive experiences
• To gain young people’s feedback, capturing their voice in shaping and evaluating future club sessions.
• Work closely as part of the delivery team, initiate programmed activities, alongside additional opportunities locally.
• To be responsible for the Health and Safety of children, young people and staff, above all, ensuring that Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults at Risk policies are adhered to.
• Managing the venue, ensuring all risk assessments are completed in line with our policies to ensure the environment is safe, secure and suitable for staff, CYP and our service delivery.
• Provide information, guidance and advice for parent/carers about local services for young people and families.
• Attend and participate in relevant internal/external meetings and forums related to the CYP services activities.
• To provide operational Coordinator or Leader cover for other Disability Services or locations as required.
• Design and deliver training sessions to CYP staff.
• To undertake the role of Duty Officer at the Sovereign Centre, at times to be agreed with Disability Services Manager.

The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in supporting our WOW (Women Off to Work) team with its successful delivery of this employability support programme. The role holder will provide high quality administrative and customer service support to the WOW programme, helping to ensure smooth delivery of sessions and a strong support service for local women.

Since 2017, WOW has supported hundreds of local women from predominantly Global Majority communities through holistic training and pathways into work programme.

WoW delivers a blend of life and vocational skills training, promoting general employability and improved wellbeing through work experience placements, internships, job brokerage, practical advice on self-employment and micro-businesses, ESOL classes and more. The programme provides women with opportunities to gain formal and accredited training qualifications and provide support with tailored into-work action plans.
