We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work with an innovative and friendly multidisciplinary team at our London Centre, which is a purpose-built centre specifically designed for the treatment of torture survivors, with extensive indoor space and gardens.​

About the Role​

Our team of experienced clinicians offer a range of specialist therapy interventions, to survivors of torture and organised violence, on an individual and group therapy basis. The interventions equip survivors with the resolve to deal with the physical and psychological impacts of their experiences. Throughout the rehabilitative journey, we closely monitor the impact of the interventions as it relates to each survivor using specifically designed Outcome Tools, which in turn assist in ensuring that the survivors receive the best treatment possible.

​About You​

To be successful in this role you must be qualified in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, (you will be trained to doctorate level or an equivalent vocational level 7). If you are nearing the completion of your training in either discipline, we would still love to hear from you. You must have knowledge of at least one evidence-based approach to trauma therapy including trauma focused CBT, NET and EMDR, sufficient to be able to deploy this model clinically and determine appropriate intervention pathways. It is also essential that you are registered to practice as a psychologist with HCPC. Due to the psychological trauma experienced by our clients you must have up to date knowledge of relevant mental health and safeguarding legislation. Your role will include offering supervision to trainees.

Our policy is that all appointments will be at the start of the salary range but successful candidates will have the opportunity to move up the scale over time. The progression up the salary range is reviewed on an annual basis and subject to affordability. For this role, the salary range is £41,454 - £48,086.​
