Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship (RF). Aquarius supports people in the Midlands affected by substance use or gambling. It was a subsidiary of Richmond Fellowship and is now a subsidiary of Waythrough.

We are specialists in mental health, alcohol, drugs and related areas. We provide high quality, evidence-based services, which are designed around the needs of the people we support. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value.

About The Service

We are a well-established charity providing supported living services to adults experiencing mental health challenges, often alongside issues related to drug and alcohol dependency. Our person-centred approach empowers individuals to lead fulfilling, independent lives within the community.

About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Area Lead to oversee a portfolio of supported living services across the Liverpool–Cheshire region. This is a key leadership position, providing operational oversight, support, and direction to a team of up to 4 Service Managers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant support services. The role is primarily field based, with an expectation to spend time within the services and with frontline teams. Occasional home working is possible where appropriate.

About You

You’ll need a track record that includes some experience and good understanding of Supported Living and Drug and Alcohol Models. Substantial experience of developing Business Plans and Managing budgets. Some experience of Business Development and Innovation and substantial experience of contract management, with either service providers or commissioners. You will need experience of conducting, verifying and reporting casefile / service audits and experience of interpreting management information appropriately to improve the performance of a service. Experience of using judgment appropriately and delegating tasks.
