Main purpose of the role:
The Learning and Development Coordinator is key to setting and maintaining the strategic direction for the people and culture team, as part of the learning and development function in L'Arche. This role provides direction and support to L'Arche Communities in the UK, focusing on learning and development in service of the Mission, and our national and regulatory requirements. 

The Learning and Development Coordinator provides line management to the National Learning and Development team, supporting and overseeing the coordination of key areas of learning.

In close partnership with national and local learning and development structures, they will ensure the implementation of objectives identified in the national and local community's learning and development strategic priorities.
 
Key essential criteria:

• Proven experience of developing and delivering learning and development plans aligned to L'Arche's needs and regulatory requirements;
• Experience of line management, including coaching, support, and performance management of employees and volunteers;
• Strong understanding of learning pathways, skills frameworks, and evaluation of impact; 
• Knowledge of mandatory and regulatory training requirements, including safeguarding;
• Experience of using or managing a Learning Management System (LMS); 
• Experience in a learning and development role, ideally within a charity, social care or health organisation;

Curatorial Assistant

Permanent, Full-Time

You will participate in an ambitious and inclusive permanent display and exhibitions programme, and will work closely with the Senior Curator, Senior Collections Manager and other colleagues deliver the strategy for care, access and engagement for the Collections. You will contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the Collections Department, creating a sense of common purpose, with an openness to innovative thinking and awareness of best practice. You will participate in the strategy for Waddesdon and the RF as a whole and the representation of the Collections within it so that learning and skills are valued and the Collections Department is recognized as an exemplar of excellence. Key responsibilities include:

• Become familiar with the whole collection and develop interests in particular subject areas. Those that would benefit from particular focus include (but are not limited to) paintings (specifically Dutch 17th century), textiles, photographs, books, prints and drawings, sculpture and contemporary art

• Undertake research and information gathering for projects and reports

• Support the delivery of exhibitions, projects and permanent displays

• Assist with planning of events, activities and visits by groups and individuals to the Department. Act as point of contact for these arrangements and liaise with relevant teams to deliver these activities

• Schedule and support meetings of the Collections Department and assist with the preparation of agendas

• Manage the distribution of incoming enquiries about the collections, passing on to relevant colleagues, taking action as appropriate and drafting some communications as required.  Keep track of progress on enquiries

House to Home Supervisor

Job Purpose

House to Home (H2H) is a newly developed programme, following the success of a similar project in Ireland. Through H2H, HFHGB aims to transform the homes of people in the community, giving them a say in creating a space that feels like home and setting them up for their future.

The H2H Supervisor will be responsible for the overall delivery and on-site safety of H2H projects, instructing and supporting volunteers to paint, decorate and carry out light-touch repairs within the homes. This is an important role, ensuring that volunteers feel empowered and supported, that projects are delivered to a high standard and that safety measures and procedures are followed at all times. The H2H Supervisor will work closely with the H2H Volunteer Manager and ReStore colleagues to plan projects and source items for the homes.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Supervision and Coordination

· Leading H2H projects with up to 5 volunteers, typically over a period of two days per home.

· Providing training and demonstrations, such as painting and decorating, to all volunteers.

· Liaising with clients about their homes and their preferred décor and furniture requirements.

· Organising and ensuring the correct materials are available to carry out projects as required, such as paint, tools and items from HFHGB’s ReStore.

· Ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times.

· Escalate safety or safeguarding concerns within a timely manner.

Admin and Reporting

· Liaise with the H2H Volunteer Manager, ensuring there are sufficient volunteers and supervision in place to carry out  H2H projects.

· Support the Director of Programmes and H2H Volunteer Manager to carry out relevant tracking and reporting duties, providing regular updates and inputs for the organisational Performance Framework.

Person profile:

· Demonstrable experience of supervising volunteer activities and workshops.

· Experience in decorating and home repairs.

· Good knowledge of risk management and health and safety policies and procedures.

· Experience of working with vulnerable individuals and an understanding of the importance of safeguarding and protecting beneficiaries.

· Physically able to move ladders, paint rooms and engage in light manual handling.

Skills and competencies

· Good verbal communication skills and the ability to engage volunteers, clearly explaining the value of their support on clients.

· Ability to work collaboratively and productively with a diverse group of colleagues and stakeholders.

· Ability to use own initiative, with good problem solving and time management skills, and the ability to work to deadlines.

The People and Programmes directorate includes teams focused on HR and learning & development, safeguarding, impact and improvement and fundraising & communications.

This will be a pivotal role at the heart of this department, and the wider organisation, ensuring leaders can focus on making a bigger impact on the lives of children and young people.

The Personal Assistant will provide high level PA and administrative support to the Director of People and Programmes and to the Head of Improvement and Impact, including proactive diary management and acting as a gatekeeper to prioritise workload. In delivering the role, you will:

• act as a trusted partner, ensuring the Director and Head can focus on strategic leadership by anticipating needs, being proactive and responsive and co-ordinating follow-up.
• organise and coordinate meetings, including agendas, papers, logistics and follow-up actions.
• ensure meetings are planned and prepared for, efficiently documented, actions tracked and completed and communications are clear.
• be organised and efficient, able to manage sensitive and complex issues in a professional and objective manner.

This role is central to empowering individuals to feel informed, supported and in control of their lives following diagnosis. Working closely with the Head of Support and wider services team, you will provide tailored emotional and practical support through coaching, information sharing and community engagement.

The Role

Job description:

We are looking for a motivated Finance Officer to join our team and support the day-to-day accounting functions across Norfolk Rivers Trust and its trading arm Rivers Ecology Limited. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Finance, helping to maintain accurate financial records, provide timely reporting, and support project teams with budget monitoring. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to learn, develop, and implement new systems and technology to improve efficiency, while playing a key role in helping the Trust achieve its mission to protect and enhance our water environments.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Financial Processes

• Ensure all financial activities are correctly entered into the company’s accounting system, including both purchase and sales ledgers, and the general ledgers for Norfolk Rivers Trust and its trading arm, Rivers Ecology Limited.
• Oversee supplier payments and prepare regular payment runs, managing new supplier details and bank amendments securely.
• Manage the sales invoicing process to ensure income is invoiced, recorded, and followed up promptly.
• Oversee monthly entry of staff timesheets and expenses into the accounting system.
• Complete and maintain timely bank reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
• Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate and consistent recording across the Group.
• Support the Head of Finance with the annual audit process through preparation of required schedules and documentation.
• Assist with monthly payroll tasks as required.

2. Financial Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate submission of management accounts with variance analysis and supporting schedules for internal review.
• Provide regular financial data and insights to the Senior Leadership Team as may be required.
• Provide financial reporting support for clients and funders, ensuring grant-related reports are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time and in accordance with grant conditions.

3. Compliance, Controls and Data Management

• Ensure all financial processing complies with internal policies, financial regulations, and relevant legislation.
• Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date financial records, ensuring appropriate document retention and audit trails.
• Ensure GDPR compliance when handling financial data.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting

• Support the Head of Finance in preparing annual budgets and forecasting tasks.
• Collaborate with Project Leads to track and report project finances, ensuring a clear understanding of income and expenditure to support budget management, facilitate decision-making, and handle project claims and variance requests effectively.
• Assist in preparing and managing cash flows as needed, ensuring effective monitoring and timely provision.

5. Systems

• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and procedures.
• Support the implementation and adoption of new accounting software and related financial systems, including assisting with data migration and process training where required.

6. Stakeholder and Funder Engagement

• Engage with external clients, grant funders, and partners on financial matters including income, expenditure, and reporting, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Address finance related queries from both internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with external consultants, such as accountants and other service providers, to support financial processes as needed.
• Share and exchange best practices and innovative ideas within the Rivers Trust network to foster continuous improvement.

7. Communication and Development‍

• Ensure consistent and proactive communication with the Head of Finance, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment on financial matters.
• Support the Head of Finance in delivering internal financial training to teams, including training on budgeting and financial management.

Person specification:

Education and experience

Essential:

• Bookkeeping qualification equivalent to AAT Level 3.
• Experience of working within a finance or accounting role.

• Strong financial process management, including understanding of the general ledger, purchase and sales ledgers , and ensuring accurate account reconciliations.
