Frontline is entering an exciting period of growth and development as we continue to expand our programme portfolio and strengthen the support we provide to social workers and leaders throughout their careers.

Officers play a key role in helping Frontline deliver high-quality programmes and services. They provide specialist expertise, operational support and coordination that enables teams to achieve their objectives, continuously improve and deliver positive outcomes for participants, partners and stakeholders.

Working closely with colleagues across Frontline, Officers take ownership of defined areas of work, manage processes and activities, build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to the successful delivery of projects, programmes and organisational priorities.

Whilst successful candidates will be deployed to a specific team, all Officer roles require strong organisational skills, sound judgement, effective communication and a proactive approach to problem solving. Depending on the team, Officers may develop expertise in areas such as programme management, contract governance, digital learning, partnerships, data and business intelligence, or organisational operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build specialist expertise, take on meaningful responsibility and contribute to Frontline’s mission.

Please see the job pack for examples of teams and roles you may join.

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Coordinate and deliver programmes, projects and initiatives, managing priorities, monitoring progress and ensuring high-quality outcomes are achieved on time
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a key point of contact and supporting effective effective communication and collaboration across teams and partners
  • Support governance, reporting and information management, maintaining accurate records and using data to inform planning, decision-making and delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems and ways of working through innovation, digital tools and shared learning

Please see the job pack for a full list of responsibilities.

A little bit about you

We’re looking for organised and proactive professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage competing priorities. The postholders will be strong communicators and relationship-builders, able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders while taking ownership of their work and seeing tasks through to completion. We’re seeking those who will bring a solutions-focused approach, use sound judgement to resolve issues, adapt to changing priorities and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Experience in programme, operational, governance, partnerships or similar professional environments is desirable, alongside an interest in developing specialist expertise and using data, systems and structured approaches to support effective delivery.

We have a fast-moving culture within teams and the organisation, so we’re looking for people who are well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. The postholders will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn. There are lots of opportunities for growth and development in these roles – and for the right candidates to make the role their own.

If you feel you have the skills to make a real impact and contribute to creating lasting social change for children and families, we would love to hear from you.

Important information

We have increased the diversity of Frontline’s workforce in the last 12 months, but we need to do more to have greater global majority representation in our senior roles. We know the value global majority voices bring and therefore, we are strongly encouraging applicants from these backgrounds to apply. We are also a disability confident employer and welcome applicants with disabilities.

We recognise that artificial intelligence (AI) such as ‘ChatGPT’ etc can be useful for applicants e.g. to shorten an initial draft, so we do not attempt to have an absolute ban on AI in applications. However we would caution applicants not to rely too much on AI in drafting answers to application questions. We want to hear your authentic voice arising out of your experience, and we will be looking for answers that use examples and experiences that are specific to you. You are more likely to be able to produce that kind of content yourself than an AI will.

We reserve the right to close this role ahead of the deadline once we reach a suitable number of applications, so please apply as soon as you can!
