This is a fundamental role within our West regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.
The Churches Conservation Trust works with communities to look after 357 historic churches, over two million visitors annually and hundreds of events both private and public.
These ancient, listed sites are among the most beautiful locations in England.
You’ll be visiting sites in your patch regularly, encouraging new supporters, holding local meetings, and raising funds to meet each building’s unique needs. Sharing progress through a growing church plan for each of the 22 churches in your area, you’ll ensure these buildings thrive as beautifully maintained visitor attractions, as venues for events and as central parts of village, town or city life.
You’ll be supported by our team of experts, including fundraising, conservation, and learning and by our large network of church supporters.

About the role
The Programme Coordinator will primarily be responsible for supporting Money Heroes, our largest primary programme designed to develop the financial capability of children across England and Wales. The Grants Officer will be a member of the Biomedical Grants and Policy Department. You will work with a Grants Manager to administer a portion of the Academy’s portfolio of grants schemes and activities.
You will act as a key point of contact for external liaison relating to the schemes. This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising and Events Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.
The Fundraising Officer will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships with groups, business and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fundraising Overview
- Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for The Cinnamon Trust.
- Maximise the contributions and connections with local business and individuals.
- Coordinate all appeals including The Big Walk across all income and media streams.
- Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities such as Payroll Giving, Legacies (with help from The Legacy Officer), in Memory Giving and Online Giving.
Supporter Engagement and Stewardship
- Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to The Trust’s supporters.
- To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all fundraising volunteers and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes, in conjunction with other teams.

Database Management

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic individual to take on the role of Garden Community Hub Coordinator for our site in Tooting.
The role will involve supporting our garden move and coordinating the development of our site and provision in our new space. This will include working closely with the team to develop new projects delivered from the site and coordinating the transition of our operations. You will also oversee the growth and development of the Share Garden Centre, our customer-facing enterprise, enabling it to flourish. The Community Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, regional businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income.
The Regional Fundraising Officer role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover the Kent and Sussex region.
You will report to the Community Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Regional Fundraising to drive the continued growth of the charity’s community fundraising income in your area. You will also be required to show excellent relationship-building skills to support community partnerships and volunteer groups, driving towards agreed targets.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive post holder, to cover a period of maternity leave.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Strategy, finance, and reporting
· Responsibility for 3 income streams within the Kent and Sussex region including corporate, community groups and Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising.
· Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with partnerships in your region with a value of up to £100,000.
· Support existing volunteer fundraisers to encourage continued loyalty to the charity and to maximise funds raised, following fundraising legislation and good practice.
· Recruit new fundraising supporters in line with strategy.
· Support the Community Fundraising Manager (CFM) and Head of Regional Fundraising (HORF) in developing the Community Fundraising strategy for ARUK to increase income within this stream.

Supporter Management

· Provide face-to-face talks and presentations to community organisations for recruitment/ cultivation purposes.
· Arrange appropriate volunteer representation at events in the community (for example, for cheque collections and talks), spreading the charity’s reach cost-effectively.

· Identify, research and target prospective local corporates in liaison with CFM / HORF and ARUK’s Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, in line with both community and corporate strategies.

Context
Through our flagship annual report and Gender and Health Index, GH5050 provides the only bird’s-eye view of gender, inclusion and equality in the global health sector today. The report assesses 200 organisations annually across a core set of variables on policies and practices to tackle power and privilege imbalances within the workplace, the gender and geography of organisational leadership, and whether gender is considered in any organisations' external-facing programmatic or policy work.
Based on an approach honed over seven years by Global Health 50/50, GH5050 is planning to produce rigorous data on the state of gender equality, including within career opportunities / structures, in the law/justice, and finance/economics sectors. In the law/justice sector we will review approximately 200 organisations at the global level, and then apply a similar approach and methodology at the country level (likely to be Kenya and one other country). Working with research and advocacy partners, supported by an advisory group, legal experts and a team of research consultants, GH5050 also plans to leverage the data to engage with the assessed organisations directly. The work undertaken by GH5050 in the law/justice sector is part of a wider advocacy coalition supported by the funder aiming to drive organisational change for a more diverse, inclusive and equitable global legal sector.

Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the world’s leading research and accountability initiatives for gender equality. You will join a small and growing team of staff working at GH5050, taking responsibility for the first (and subsequent) Gender, Law and Justice Report(s) (title TBA). Brain Tumour Research are looking for two PR Officers to join our PR and Communications team. The PR Officer will work to maintain our status as the leading brain tumour voice in the media through innovative and pioneering PR initiatives. The team’s work puts patients and bereaved families at the centre of what we do in order to raise awareness and acquire new supporters.
PR Officer
Location: Head Office, Milton Keynes
Salary: Circa £33,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time, 35 hours per week. Hybrid working model, employees have the option to work from home up to two days per week.

The Digital Marketing Officer will play an important part in Cure Parkinson’s continued ambitious growth. Joining us at an exciting time for the charity, you would be part of a small but dynamic team with the opportunity to develop and make your own mark.
You will create and edit communications and marketing materials to publicise the charity’s activities to our online and digital audiences, including writing and distributing e-newsletters and updating our website and social media platforms. You will have a good understanding of digital best practice and content creation across web, social and email.
The Digital Marketing Officer will report into the Digital Marketing and Engagement Manager and will work closely with the wider Marketing team to plan and execute some exciting communications campaigns to promote the work of the charity.
Key duties / tasks
- Drafting and coordinating the distribution of the charity’s E-newsletter in Mailchimp.
- Drafting social media messaging and assisting with running paid social media campaigns.
- Day to day monitoring of CP social media platforms to respond to supporters, identify influencers, and engage in conversations where relevant to CP
- Working closely with colleagues in design, fundraising and research to develop visual assets for use on social media.
- Writing and uploading news stories and information materials to the charity website and social media platforms.
- Support on the implementation of a digital strategy for the organisation.
- Undertaking analysis and feedback to provide insight into social media, website and email performance
- Assisting with the creation of ad-hoc emails to supporters.
- Working closely with the wider Marketing team to ensure a joined up, consistent approach.
- Assisting with the updating and maintaining of the charity’s database.
- Occasional support at our events.
