Job description

Lead some of the UK’s most iconic fundraising events, creating memorable experiences for thousands of supporters and raising vital funds to support research into heart and circulatory diseases.

From the London Marathon to the Great North Run, you’ll bring high-profile third-party mass participation events to life for people fundraising for the BHF. Through clear strategy, creative supporter stewardship and seamless event day delivery, you’ll help make every experience count.

Working closely with the Senior Product Manager, you’ll shape long-term plans, improve performance and identify opportunities for innovation and growth. You’ll lead and support the full product journey, from planning and marketing to supporter engagement, event-day delivery and evaluation, making every touchpoint count.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of mass participation events
  • Use data and insight to improve performance and increase income
  • Develop supporter experiences that increase engagement, retention and value
  • Oversee budgets and provide clear reporting against KPIs
  • Manage and support our Senior Product Executive
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation, as well as partners and suppliers

About you

As our ideal candidate, you’ll have proven experience of developing and delivering a portfolio of successful mass participation events, with a strong understanding of what drives supporter engagement, income and long-term growth.

You’ll have managed complex projects across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and planning through to marketing, event delivery and evaluation.

Your experience will include using customer, market and financial insight to shape product plans, improve performance and maximise return. You’ll also have developed multi-channel campaigns and supporter journeys that deliver measurable results.

You’ll be experienced in managing budgets and KPIs, coordinating multiple stakeholders and working effectively with internal teams, external partners and suppliers. Previous line management experience would also be valuable.

Working arrangements

This a fixed term contract until November 2027 covering a secondment.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

Belonging at BHF

We celebrate and value the diversity of the communities we serve, recognising that embracing different perspectives and backgrounds strengthens our organisation and drives innovation. By fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and supported, we are better equipped to achieve our mission of helping people have a healthier heart for longer.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. By funding research across six decades, we’ve helped keep millions of hearts beating and millions of families together. We’re investing in ground-breaking research that will get us closer than ever to a world where everyone has a healthier heart for longer.
