The Director of Development, STEM and Business is a senior role in the team, responsible for growth of the University’s fundraising program within the University’s Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering and the University of Sydney Business School.
Building on several established relationships and a strong trajectory of major philanthropic gifts, this position will establish, manage and nurture relationships with existing and potential donors for the STEM and Business portfolios.
Working closely with academic leadership, this position is also charged with growing a culture of philanthropy across the Faculty and schools to increase awareness of and engagement with the fundraising process.
You will bring a wealth of experience in major gift fundraising, a proven track record of closing gifts, and a strategic mind adept at navigating complex stakeholder environments. You will be a creative, inspiring leader, motivating and developing a team of development professionals dedicated to achieving bold goals.

About the role
We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Legacy Partnership Manager to lead the development and delivery of our legacy marketing and engagement programme.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the three partner charities to grow awareness and understanding of legacy giving, build meaningful relationships with supporters, and help ensure a sustainable future for our services.

About you
You’ll be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, confident in engaging with a wide range of people, from long-term supporters and volunteers to legal professionals and community partners.

Qualifications & Knowledge
· Understanding of legacy fundraising and individual giving principles
Knowledge of fundraising regulations and GDPR compliance in relation to donor communications

Experience
· Proven track record of delivering successful projects or campaigns
· Experience in donor stewardship and supporter engagement
· Experience developing and delivering multi-channel campaigns. You will need to be confident and highly experienced using social media and digital platforms to connect with audiences, tell powerful stories, and grow awareness of legacy giving in creative and authentic ways.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with both corporate and philanthropic audiences.

Queer Britain is the UK's first and only LGBTQ+ Museum, for all, and we opened in our beautiful heritage space in Kings Cross, London in 2022.

Scottish Opera is Scotland’s national opera company and the country’s largest performing arts organisation. Founded in 1962 to make opera accessible to all, the company presents productions of international acclaim, from early works to world premieres. The charity is looking for an experienced fundraiser to lead the team across a period of maternity leave. The Individual Giving team look after donors across philanthropy, corporate, members and legators. Internally this role is called the Head of Individual Giving, the job title has been amended for this selection process to reflect the broader remit of the role beyond regular donors.
The post holder will, in conjunction with the Director of Development, set and embed Scottish Operas Individual Giving strategy and will personally solicit gifts and steward key donors, whilst supporting and overseeing the work of the Individual Giving team.
There are some fantastic projects in the works that Scottish Opera can use to engage donors, and there is brilliant internal buy in and understanding of fundraising. Income performance is strong, so there are solid foundations from which to test and trial new ideas.
This role has wide ranging appeal. Scottish Opera are happy to consider candidates for whom this role might be an exciting step up to managing multiple income streams beyond one specialist area, but equally this would be an engaging role for an experienced Head of looking to work in an exciting arts charity, taking their income success to the next level.

Legacy Giving generates around £26 million annually and is central to our future sustainability. As Head of Legacy Giving, you will set the strategic vision for this critical area, with legacy modelling forming a major component of the role. As a key member of the Fundraising Leadership Team, you will play an influential role in shaping decision-making, strengthening collaboration and embedding a high-performance culture across the directorate. You will lead the evolution of how we understand, forecast and communicate the value of legacies, ensuring our approach is modern, insight-led and fully aligned with the ambitions of our redesigned Fundraising Directorate.
We’re looking for a senior fundraising leader who can strategically think and engage with the challenges we face, to create the right solutions and sell them in across the organisation. Context and Background

You'll work as part of one of many teams, which focus on engaging our supporters and ensuring they continue to give their support. You will do this by leading high value fundraising events and managing relationships with volunteer committees.
The varied role sits within the Volunteer Board Fundraising team which leads income generation through regional and national volunteer boards, volunteer-led fundraising initiatives and delivery of special events through our high value event committees. These activities play a vital role in maximising sustainable income, engaging senior volunteers, and supporting long-term supporter relationships.
Job purpose
· To contribute to the Income Generation / Engagement and Fundraising department’s purpose of maximising income from potential and current supporters through project managing specific events including securing sponsorship and providing committee support
· To support in the delivery of the agreed departmental strategy, goals and fundraising budget
· To work effectively with other departments in Income Generation / Engagement and Fundraising and other functions within the NSPCC to maximise income for children

Main duties and responsibilities
· To successfully manage and deliver large-scale events and special projects within the portfolio of events, overseeing all event logistics and relationship management
· To lead on specific fundraising projects and large-scale events, and support development of Executives through your projects
· Contribute to and deliver particular aspects of the department’s annual business plan and budget. To support project groups for the Special Events team to improve processes and identify new opportunities

Fundraiser

This is a critical role in a progressive campaigning organisation. Your input will see the growth of the organisation through the development of a range of income generation streams. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing income from trusts, foundations, major donors and legacies, in addition to revising and developing the fundraising strategy. A key priority for this role will be identifying and maximising on opportunities with trusts and foundations through writing compelling applications to maximise on the funding opportunities available to the organisation from the diverse range of priorities they support.
The successful candidate is likely to bring a demonstrable track record in securing income from a range of sources, including trusts and foundations. You will enjoy leading and managing teams and working strategically as well as 'hands on' as your remit will include establishing relationships with new, existing, and previous funders.

This new role at Young Sounds UK will lead on securing grant income from and coordinating relationships with Trusts and Foundations. This will include identifying and researching funders, submitting compelling applications and completing timely and accurate reports.
