Job description

Percival are excited to be working exclusively with Empower Youth Zone to help them recruit for a new Philanthropy Manager to join a passionate and integrated team.

Empower Youth Zone is the umbrella charity that oversees operations of the award winning HideOut Youth Zone which has supported over 7,000 children and young people since its opening in 2020, offering a dynamic youth provision. The Two Youth Zones sit within the Onside Network.

Job Title: Philanthropy Manager

Report to: Director of Fundraising and Communications

Salary: £39,318 - £42,672

Working Pattern: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Manchester, M12 5PX

The post holder will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major donors and lead on building relationships with new potential supporters to secure 5 and 6 figure donations. You will be developing strategic and personalised solicitation and stewardship plans for a portfolio of donors and prospects, contributing to their annual fundraising targets. You will also oversee the Patrons programme at Empower, ensuring continued support year on year.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have excellent relationship management and experience in bringing in new business to maximise income, either from the charity sector or commercially. Ideally, this will be at the five figure+ level.
  • Have experience consistently hitting and/or exceeding both financial and non-financial KPIs.
  • Have demonstrable leadership experience and input into an organisation's fundraising strategy.
  • Be entrepreneurial and an outside-the-box thinker.
