Hearing Dogs for Deaf People – Case for Support & Impact Manager

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for translating complex programmes and ambitions into clear, inspiring and emotionally resonant content for high-value supporters including major donors, trusts, foundations and corporate partners. Essential experience for this role includes a proven track record in developing high-quality fundraising cases for support, proposals or donor communications in a charity or social impact setting. As well as excellent project management and organisational skills, you will have a strong understanding of high-value fundraising, particularly philanthropy and trusts and foundations funding.

The CRM is the heart of all our fundraising, financial and supporter engagement activities and is used by all charity staff who are not directly operational; its reliability and accuracy are critical to the charity’s financial sustainability, making this role integral to ensuring the system performs at its best.
This role will involve occasional travel to other EAAA sites across the region so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

BACKGROUND
Ashiana is a ‘by and for’ women's led BME VAWG service with 30 years’ experience in delivering a holistic range of specialist services to South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern women affected by VAWG.
OUR SERVICES
Ashiana runs three refuges with a total of 29 bedspaces; specifically for women aged 16-35 fleeing forced marriage. This multi award winning project is the only service of its kind in the UK and is highly innovative in terms of addressing an area of significant need not met in other refuge provision. Within these refuges we designate a number of bedspaces for women with no recourse to public funds. We offer an advice and support service to women and girls who are experiencing VAWG, enabling them to make informed decisions and exit violent relationships. We provide a legal service supporting women with no recourse to public funds to help resolve their immigration status.
Counselling is offered for women and girls affected by VAWG. The counselling service works from an integrative stance, with the focus of providing a holistic service whereby we also work alongside other services and provide specialist domestic violence group work. The emphasis of therapeutic work with our clients is from a trauma informed model.
We also deliver an education programme for young people in secondary schools in East London aimed at preventing domestic violence and enabling young people experiencing domestic violence to access appropriate services. The prevention service includes delivering a whole school approach in schools to young people as well as group work to women and girls across North East London boroughs as well as community engagement activities and delivery. We deliver a range of awareness raising workshops for young people in the community and training on domestic violence for professionals in the voluntary and statutory sector.
PRIMARY TASK
The post is instrumental in overseeing the delivery of a comprehensive package of services and care for women in our refuges. To provide a safe environment and a service that is appropriate to the needs of young BME women particularly those from South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern communities and to support ex-clients following resettlement.
The post holder will have a caseload of clients and be responsible for providing advice, advocacy, casework and support to women and girls, advocating on behalf of these women and making others aware of their particular needs. The post-holder is required to demonstrate sensitivity and an awareness of the culture and needs of minoritised communities in all aspects of their duties and responsibilities.

About the role

Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. Stewardship

- Ensure donors receive appropriate recognition in all relevant College publications and other media and work in close collaboration with the Communications team to ensure donors receive relevant College and Campaign communications.
- Work with the Development team, Communications team, and others in College to create an annual report demonstrating the impact of philanthropy at Pembroke for distribution to donors to the College.
- Identify opportunities to publicise the impact of philanthropy at Pembroke through multimedia communications and digital platforms (e.g., videos, newsletters, digital campaigns).
- Once the programme is established there may be opportunities to undertake face-to-face stewardship meetings with donors.
Proposal writing
- Support the Development Director and Development Manager in drafting bespoke proposals for major donor prospects.
- Assist in the production of fundraising documentation to appeal to potential major donors.
- Make effective use of donor records to ensure proposals and reports are data driven.
- Draft gift agreements for major donors.
Internal collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the wider team and colleagues across Pembroke, supporting work outside your functional area where necessary.
- Build strong internal relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure the stewardship programme is supported at the highest level.
- Work with Fellows, staff, and students to obtain reports and other stories relating to the impact of donor funding.

Role overview:
The Talent Set is excited to be working with an incredible charity as they search for a Legacy and In Memory Marketing Manager to support them for an exciting 7 month contract.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Delivery
- Develop and implement LIM operational plans, identifying opportunities to drive future income growth and deepen engagement with diverse supporter audiences.
- Lead the planning and execution of integrated fundraising campaigns, including TV, digital, direct mail, telemarketing, email, and events to increase awareness, generate enquiries, and steward legacy pledgers and in memory donors.
Team Leadership
- Line-manage, coach, and support the LIM Marketing Officer, empowering them to develop professionally and contribute fully to team objectives.
- Approve campaign strategies and briefs, ensuring alignment with annual goals and broader organisational priorities.
Content & Campaign Management
- Oversee content creation, campaign development, and project management to ensure timely, effective delivery.
- Ensure all communications are aligned with brand guidelines and convey consistent messaging across channels.
Performance & Budget Management
- Manage campaign budgets and report on expenditure and outcomes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strategic alignment.
- Champion a test-and-learn culture within the team, using insights from data and supporter feedback to inform future planning.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all communications and data handling meet relevant fundraising regulations and data protection laws (including GDPR).
- Follow procurement protocols, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, and briefing suppliers appropriately.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments and teams to align LIM strategies with broader organisational initiatives and ensure a joined-up supporter experience.
- Represent the LIM audience across cross-functional campaigns and projects, advocating for their needs and interests.
Agency & Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of campaigns.
- Lead agency selection processes where appropriate, working collaboratively with procurement teams.
Innovation & Market Awareness
- Stay current with trends and developments in legacy and in memory fundraising, bringing forward new ideas to increase impact and engagement.
Person specification:
- Proven experience working with fundraising or marketing campaigns
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management experience.
- Proficient in developing and executing multi-channel campaigns – both direct and digital.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively and independently, prioritising tasks and hitting deadlines.

Impact and Insights Officer
This is an exciting opportunity to be an impact catalyst across two Youth Zone locations (Carlisle and London).
We are looking for someone who can generate support and build towards a ‘culture of impact’ in both Youth Zones, so that outcome measurement and impact reporting becomes routine and ‘every day’.
This is a hybrid working role, with 8 onsite days per month at the Carlisle and London sites, with the remainder working from home.
Position: Impact and Insights Officer
Location: Hybrid (8 days per month across the 2 Youth Zones in Carlisle and Barnet)
Salary: £38,000 – 42,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) plus travel expenses
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Contract: Fixed term contract – 2 years (due to project funding)

About the Role
You will collaborate closely with a cross section of teams within the Youth Zones, working with the Youth Work delivery teams to feed data into decision making, and with the Communications and Fundraising teams to provide impact measurement and analysis content for use with stakeholders and in donor reporting. Furthermore, it will align impact and data work with national and local policy, and use national census, health, police and other statistical data to position the four Youth Zones for new income generation opportunities.
Main responsibilities include:
- Measuring and demonstrating the charities’ impact to stakeholders
- Authoring and providing the necessary data to the leadership and fundraising teams and Board (as required)
- Annual publications such as Trustees Reports and annual Impact Reports.
- Lead on data analysis and reporting on the data held in Salesforce CRM, improving both the quality and quantity of monitoring and evaluation processes
- Driving improvements in data capture through training and upskilling the Youth Work team
- Strengthening the ability of the two Youth Zones to demonstrate the measurable impact of youth work delivered.
Innovation is a key aspect of this role, involving the introduction and embedding of new methodologies to enhance the qualitative data capture process.
About You
This role is ideal for someone who has the ability to bring technical analysis to life in a youth work setting and can communicate insights in an accessible style to different audiences. The Impact and Insights Officer should be passionate about embracing the power of youth work and be keen to support Youth Zones in evidencing the impact created with young people. It will require someone who can bring impact expertise and creativity to create buy-in and drive improvements in data capture; and someone who is keen to work flexibly and closely with teams of passionate Youth Workers and who is unafraid of the challenge presented by Youth Zones in two very different geographic locations.
Previous experience in a data analysis or similar role, including handling large datasets, using data to derive insights and data-led decision making is required for this role, along with experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau), and previous experience working with young people or in a youth work setting.
Please note, this is hybrid working role, with 8 onsite days per month at the Carlisle and London sites. You must be able to travel to these locations as part of your role.
