We are partnering with an organisation that supports members of the armed forces community, including veterans and adult family members with health conditions and other complex challenges, on their journey into employment after leaving service.
They help individuals overcome barriers to employment and transform their lives. With a long and proud history, the organisation continually adapts its services to ensure they remain relevant to modern-day veterans and their families.
This key role involves delivering a grants portfolio to support the strategic aims of Veterans and Family Services. Working alongside the Senior Trusts Manager, you will be responsible for generating income from trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships at the 5- and 6-figure level. The core grant fundraising programme is well-established, with regular funds from military charities and other trusts and foundations. The corporate partnership programme has recently been updated to focus on higher-value grants and broader partnerships.
The charity has ambitious plans to expand its services and is seeking a capable and confident individual who can work autonomously and creatively across a diverse portfolio, while also engaging with the wider team. This is a remote role, open to those based in the UK, with travel required to London once a month. Interviews will take place on a rolling basis, so please get in touch ASAP.
As Trust and Corporate Fundraising Manager, you will:
- Support the development and delivery of the fundraising plan, proactively researching and pursuing new income opportunities, with targets for fundraising applications to trusts & foundations and corporate foundations. (Account Management 60%, New Business 40%)
- Develop strategic and collaborative relationships with funders to maximise income and ensure excellent supporter care with a team target of £770k
- Write and submit compelling, evidence-based funding applications, targeted to the priorities and criteria of the funder
- Provide excellent stewardship of all funders, building on the existing stewardship framework

- Experience in grant fundraising, charitable foundations, corporate foundations, lottery or statutory sources
- Excellent research and prospecting skills to create a pipeline of relevant opportunities

We are looking for an experienced Grants Writer and Coordinator to lead on expanding income from a sustainable portfolio of trusts and foundations. The post holder will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy to significantly increase our restricted and unrestricted income, aiming to surpass £500,000 this year. This role involves coordinating a diverse portfolio of high-value trusts, foundations, and grant-makers, including the National Lottery, Children in Need, and other major grant schemes, charitable trusts, and foundations.
We are looking for a skilled bid writer with extensive project management experience to transform our core and project work into compelling fundraising propositions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a proven track record in high-value fundraising from trusts and foundations or a similar field. The Grants & Trusts Coordinator will cultivate and maintain key relationships with funders capable of contributing four to six-figure sums.
The key tasks for this role include working closely with the CEO to develop a plan for multi-year income growth from grant funding, aligned with the Charity’s strategic objectives and income targets. The role requires developing the strategic direction for grants and trusts funding, ensuring a pipeline of high-value bids and a sustainable income stream. You will identify, engage, cultivate, and coordinate a portfolio of high-value trust and foundation supporters, providing effective relationship management alongside the CEO.
Securing both restricted and unrestricted income for Platform for Life involves initiating, managing, and developing a comprehensive programme of applications to a wide range of funding sources. You will identify funders that align with the work carried out by Platform for Life, and collaborate with the CEO, colleagues and trustees to produce high quality, innovative bids, ensuring the strongest possible application is submitted. You will then coordinate and create the funding, mid-term and completion reports for funders.

The position is a permanent hybrid role (some office based time required), with a starting salary of £35,000 FTE (0.4FTE – 15 hours per week). The part-time hours of work are 15 hours over 3 days, ideally Tuesday to Thursday from 9:30am to 2:30pm (Flexibility available).
