Location

This position is based remotely.  But you must be a resident of the United Kingdom with all the necessary legislative ‘right to work’ documentation.  You will be required to attend the charity’s head office located in Norfolk a minimum of 6 times per year and this will be at your own expense for travel and accommodation.

Job summary

We are looking for a proactive, confident and supporter-focused fundraiser to build and manage relationships with JGDR’s local community in Nottinghamshire and South Lincolnshire. Working with the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager, you will deliver a strategy to grow income and volunteer numbers from the local community. This is a varied role which will cover:

· Stewarding and recruiting supporters undertaking their own fundraising activities, including those taking part in challenge events

· Organising and attending local events to raise awareness and income

· Working with local and national businesses

· Recruiting and overseeing a network of volunteers who can support income generation in your local area

This role would suit a target-driven, approachable and resourceful fundraiser with ambition and drive – there is plenty of opportunity to make this role your own, and drive forward growth in these crucial income streams.

Your role

You will sit in the Volunteering and Community Fundraising team, and report into the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager. You will manage your own time to effectively balance both developing and stewarding relationships with individual and corporate supporters in the local area, and working through a network of volunteers to deliver fundraising and retail objectives.

You will develop and grow strong relationships with supporters, collaborating with colleagues across the Fundraising team, particularly the Individual Giving and Legacies team, to ensure you are offering the best supporter experience you can. You will attend local events with, and through, volunteers, work with colleagues in our retail sites, and spot other opportunities to promote JGDR in your community and drive support for our work.

You will deliver excellent stewardship to supporters and volunteers, and develop relationships with key local contacts who can help to further JGDR’s mission. You will champion supporter care, and ensure that all relevant supporter information is stored on JGDR’s CRM, Donorflex.

Key responsibilities

Community fundraising

· Identify, engage, and steward DIY and community fundraisers, developing strategies to promote fundraising activities in these groups and grow income from your local area

· Proactively pursue local business partnership opportunities, developing a pipeline of potential corporate support and making applications to secure support

· Provide high quality stewardship of supporters, groups and businesses within the community, responding to enquiries in a timely way and ensuring relationships are developed and maintained at a high standard

· Represent JGDR as the first point of contact within the community, promoting our mission, vision, and values alongside fundraising and volunteer opportunities

· Ensure that Donorflex is up-to-date and develop regular reporting mechanisms to inform the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager of outputs and results, and support understanding of the local audiences, including individual supporters, local businesses, and volunteers, and their historical engagement with the charity

Volunteering

· Work with the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager and Volunteering Assistant to recruit, induct and train volunteers to support fundraising and other relevant initiatives in the local community

· Via volunteer support, oversee the distribution of collection boxes in your local area, monitoring and reporting on income generated

· Coordinate and attend – supported by a network of volunteers – key local events, e.g. county shows, to raise awareness of JGDR in the local community and drive support for the charity amongst target audience groups.

· Ensure JGDR retail shops, and their volunteers, in your area have relevant and timely information on current fundraising campaigns and other initiatives to share with customers

Other duties

 · Contribute content for social media, fundraising newsletters, publications and local media to support marketing objectives and increase our engagement with adopters, supporters and donors online

· Keep up-to-date with sector trends and developments in community and regional fundraising, and volunteering

· Ensure all fundraising activities and events operate within best practice and regulatory guidelines and comply with health and safety requirements.

· Act as a champion for fundraising compliance across the organisation, including ensuring adherence to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice, the General Data Protection Act and PECR, and other relevant legislative requirements.

· Manage any complaints from supporters efficiently and sensitively

· Act as a collaborative role model to the wider team, and build strong working relationships with colleagues across the wider charity to be an internal ambassador for Fundraising and Marketing

You are:

· A target-driven and tenacious professional with experience in community and regional fundraising or volunteer engagement

· Financially proficient, and comfortable planning, monitoring and being accountable for fundraising budgets to agreed deadlines

· A credible and clear communicator, preferably with copywriting and creative design skills

· Experienced in using CRM databases to input, monitor, and report on supporter data and to gather insights

Who are Women’s Aid?

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the Community Fundraising Officer role:

As IG Supporter Recruitment Manager you will manage the programme, leading the development and implementation of the strategy to maximise the value of our donor recruitment activity.   

Key Skills and Attributes: 

This role requires a confident fundraiser with a solid grasp of all supporter recruitment channels and an understanding of retention and development channels. 

You’ll need a track record of successful recruitment fundraising from individuals, with experience in donor recruitment or in direct marketing acquisition within the commercial sector.

Experience of driving effective direct marketing activity is essential, as is knowledge of fundraising compliance and best practise in line with evolving regulations.

The programme covers a diverse range of activities and techniques to recruit regular givers, cash donors and product donors, with a strong focus on digital platforms. This includes recruitment activity such as Meta paid social, Performance Max, paid search, and converting supporters to donors through post action asks and emails, as well as a testing programme for new activity. Additionally, this post would be responsible for optimising welcome journeys to improve retention, Value Exchange products, inserts, Out of Home and Connected TV.

Our supporter experience programme includes cash appeals, upgrade, reactivation, a biannual supporter magazine, cash to regular giving conversion activity, e-appeals and retention activity. 

The Individual Giving programme has evolved hugely over the past few years, with a big increase in our digital activity and collaboration with campaign teams to create compelling and integrated plans.

Each Individual Giving Officer manages a selection of projects across recruitment or experience, rotating project management to support development and learning across the team.

Without donations, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity can’t help fund ground-breaking research, advanced equipment, child and family support services, and the rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities. About us

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role

Right now, the Partnerships and National Engagement Team is in an incredibly exciting period of growth, as Partnerships Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in building new transformational partnerships which support Crisis new ten-year strategy.

Working as part of a friendly and enthusiastic team you will be you will be responsible for identifying, nurturing and developing a robust pipeline of new partnerships, with value-aligned businesses, developing opportunities for us to work together to help us end homelessness in the UK. 

As a key member of the Partnerships Development Team, you will be expected to deliver significant growth in Crisis corporate income and personally secure six and seven figure partnerships and sponsorships.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated, target-driven fundraiser who relishes the opportunity to develop innovative, creative, and strategic corporate partnerships. You will have a track record of pitching, securing, managing, and growing six and seven figure partnerships in the third (or equivalent) sector, coupled with excellent relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders. You are self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative, but you also enjoy collaborating with colleagues.

We are looking for a personable and intuitive candidate with excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style to achieve maximum impact upon relevant situations and audience.

Lead our dedicated team of fundraisers to generate sustainable income for Edward's Trust, a charity providing holistic support for bereaved parents, children, and young people - helping them navigate the toughest times of their lives for the last 35 years. Our free services include specialist counselling, well-being therapies and support groups.

The role is essential to delivering Edward’s Trust fundraising priorities and achieving its financial targets. You will lead and line manage our small Fundraising Team and be responsible for delivering collective income targets from a diverse range of income areas, in line with a recently commissioned multi-year Income Generation Plan with a target of over £650k per year. You will be individually responsible for Charitable Trusts and Foundations, Legacy and Regular Giving. 

About the role

As the new Community and Events Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing The Passage's Community Fundraising strategy, designed to inspire and engage both existing and new supporters, ultimately building a stable and sustainable income pipeline.

Main duties

• Help deliver the teams’ existing events and community fundraising products, growing net income and actively seeking new opportunities for expansion.
• Act as an ambassador for The Passage with community groups, personally delivering talks and presentations to build relationships and promote our work.
• Manage and oversee a programme of station and street collections, ensuring that volunteers are trained and equipped to represent The Passage with the public.
• Manage current community and events fundraising relationships with individual supporters and groups by providing outstanding, tailored stewardship to generate income.
• Help deliver and develop a range of The Passage owned and third-party events and activities.
• Produce and manage the Community Fundraising income and expenditure annual plan and budget.

Desired experience

• Developing and implementing community fundraising plans and activities and a proven track record in growing income.
• Experience of recruiting new fundraisers and providing excellent stewardship.
• Direct experience of working with community groups or local organisations such as schools, churches and universities, generating new leads and managing partnerships.
• Experience of planning, organising and delivering new projects and/or events.
• Recruiting and supervising volunteers.

Global Individual Giving Officer

Starting salary for this position is £27,360 per annum (plus contributory pension)

About the role:

As part of our Global Fundraising Team, the Individual Giving Officer will support the delivery of our individual giving programme for UK and US audiences. You will work closely with our Global Individual Giving Manager and our wider fundraising team to increase voluntary individual income through proactive donor development. You will coordinate a variety of dynamic and planned communications over a range of mediums, ensuring that our messaging remains on brand and in line with our mission and values.

This is a great time to be joining MAG as we unveil a new five-year organisational strategy and an ambitious fundraising strategy to transform our income across the UK, US and globally. We have bold plans and a chance to invest in a new team that will secure growth.  We are therefore looking for a motivated individual who can drive forward the delivery of MAG’s individual giving programme through engaging campaigns to raise vital funds and create an inspiring supporter experience for our donors in the UK and US. 

About you:

You will be an empathetic and supporter-focused fundraiser with experience of individual giving. You will be a confident communicator over a range of mediums, with experience writing and reporting on fundraising campaigns. You will have excellent Excel skills and experience working with a fundraising database; in particular, experience working with Donorfy or Raiser’s Edge would be advantageous. You will also be a proactive problem-solver and a good team player, ready to take considered risks and forecast potential issues, but also capable of using failures as learning opportunities.
