If your answer is yes, then we want to hear from you. We are looking for an Institutional Trusts and Fundraising Manager to join our team. You will have the following knowledge and experience:
→ Extensive experience of working in statutory and/or trusts fundraising, including successfully applying for grants in excess of £50,00 to £100,000+
→ Demonstrable track record of high quality bid writing and production that meet funder requirements
→ Project management experience
→ Substantial experience interpreting and translating material into compelling content for successful proposals
→ Demonstrable strong project and account management abilities
→ Confident in the development of budgets to meet proposal requirements
→ Strong problem solving ability and confidence to bring in new ideas and drive them forward
→ Experience of writing and communicating for different mediums and channels and applying writing and branding requirements to reports and documents

This role will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. Line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

The salary for this position is £28,723 (FTE £35,904) – Manager Level, part time (28 hours – 4 days per week). We have fully embraced flexible working and the role can be either fully remote, hybrid or fully based at our Colchester offices. We offer a lot of flexibility in working practices and there is free reserved parking available. We also offer 26 days annual leave plus public holidays (pro-rated), pension, and support from an in-house well-being team.

Maximise Giving
You will implement a philanthropic giving strategy that significantly shifts the museums approach towards the generation of substantial philanthropic income and that supports the Museum's vision and mission. You will work collaboratively with the Executive, Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to establish a long-term plan and supporting fundraising strategies that align and help the museum move forward with its objectives.
Cultivate and Steward Donors
You will actively cultivate and steward relationships with potential and existing donors, for major new, repeat and legacy gifts, significantly raising the profile of Beamish, generating excitement and a desire to support Beamish now and into the future across a range of projects. These will be supported by stewardship plans that foster mutual trust to secure ongoing support.
Reputation and Engagement
You will build the profile of the Museum through donor engagement. You will personally manage a portfolio of prospective donors, guiding them through the cultivation process, and ultimately securing new funding. You will work closely with the CEO building new networks, opening new doors and linking with communities in support of the museum's philanthropic goals and furthering its reputation and that of the sector.
Successful Philanthropy Team
You will ensure a high performing team is in place that supports Beamish’s Philanthropic strategy, imbuing a culture of innovation and enterprise across the museum. The team will ensure day to day delivery of the function, including to trusts and grants, provide excellent customer service, and produce timely data to support and measure the impact of all giving. - Significant experience working at a senior level, building strong relationships with supporters who can give at a six/seven figure level.

We are looking for two Development Managers to join our Development team focusing on Individual Giving and Trust and Foundation Fundraising.
The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will manage the strategic development of Individual Giving, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The post-holder will oversee the delivery of our Regular Giving programmes and will also manage relationships with high-level donors to identify and securing major gifts.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:
- Drive acquisition, retention and growth of Individual Giving at all levels with a particular view to growing unrestricted income from this stream.
- Develop and deliver inspiring Regular Giving appeals, understanding the key motivations of our supporters and in line with the strategic objectives of the organisation.

Driving life-changing decisions, encouraging early diagnosis and supporting those living with lung conditions, this charity is on a mission to promote good lung health for all.
This team are really relationship-driven, retaining their funders for multiple years even in this competitive market. As Trusts and Statutory Manager, you will play a vital role in this charity, developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of high value trusts and foundations (focusing on six-figure plus) donors, while line managing the Trusts Officer and Trusts and Stewardship Officer. You will lead and cultivate stewardship plans and exercise excellent proposal writing skills. This charity understands the importance of working flexibly and promotes a collaborative and supportive environment.
You don’t need line management experience for this role as they are willing to train people!
You will need:
- Excellent communication and writing skills to create high-quality proposals and reports
- A track record of building and managing funder relationships
- Interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate team members
Salary: £39,000-£42,000

As Trusts and Foundations Officer, you will be responsible for maximising income from grant-giving organisations to ensure sustainable growth of restricted and unrestricted fundraising. You will work strategically to build high-impact, high-value relationships with grant funders as well as managing relationships with existing donors. You will also be collaborating with teams across the organisation to create compelling fundraising proposals and produce high-quality reports and budgets.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Track record of securing grants from charitable Trusts and Foundations
- Experience working with other internal departments to maximise collaboration and impact between the teams.
- Experience building and managing relationships with external funders, including in depth research of funders.
