We are seeking an exceptional candidate who is committed to help Arty-Folks flourish within both the mental health and creative sector in Coventry and Warwickshire. You will hold fast to all that is unique and special about Arty-Folks.
Our new CEO will build the team and organisational structure that will take Arty-Folks forward as we transition from our current CEO and Founder who is retiring in the next 2 years.Since the pandemic, Arty-Folks has more than tripled the number of people we support, and demand for our service that provides immediate access continues to grow. Our new CEO will lead our expansion plans. In preparation, we have strengthened our fundraising securing multi-year grants setting the platform for growth.
The role requires strategic leadership and operational oversight that ensure the charity's growth and ability to handle increasing demand, while maintaining the high quality of its services. It is essential that as the head of a small team our CEO is closely connected to our day-to-day operations whilst maintaining a strategic viewpoint that drives innovation, co-production, fundraising, and collaborations.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Committed and passionate about mental health, the visual arts, and putting people first.
- Leadership experience & team mgt.
- Ability to create plans, budget and manage financial controls
- Demonstrable success in fundraising.
- Experience of working in a similar sector.
- Strong knowledge of the Coventry / Warwickshire area.
Responsibilities
Strategy
- Working with the Board to articulate a clear and compelling vision for growth with realistic and measurable goals for scaling our program and social impact.
- Communicating effectively between the Board of Trustees and our team, and ensuring daily activities align with the organisation's strategic plan and KPI’s.
- Working with the Board of Trustees to mitigate organisational risks and enable decisions that will protect against major business disruption
- Ensuring business plans progress efficiently ensuring required resources are available.
- Developing effective collaborations with VCSE organisations, the NHS, Public Health and community partners to provide our members access to a wide range of services.
Stability
- Overseeing the development and optimisation of the organisation's infrastructure, including technology, facilities, and human resources, to support increased capacity.
- Overseeing the robust financial management of our finances to ensure long-term sustainability, compliance, and efficiency.
- Developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that builds and nurtures strong relationships with existing and prospective funders.
- Building capacity by recruiting top talents as Trustees, staff or volunteers, offer training and support to equip them with the skills needed and to develop their leadership skills.
- Supporting our staff team with professional development, good working conditions, supportive management, and regular performance appraisals.
Scalability
- Ensuring evidence-based systems for monitoring and evaluating the impact of our service are implemented, using service user data and feedback to make informed decisions and adjustments.
- Writing high quality impact reports that are comprehensive, transparent, and well-structured to effectively communicate outcomes and social return on investment.
You will be supported by and work alongside our Artistic Director who will be stepping down from her current CEO role.
Annual Holiday - 29 days including statutory holidays (pro rata)
Probationary Period - 6 months
Rate of pay - £40,000 per annum pro rata (£24,000 for 3 days/wk)
The company has a pension scheme with NEST.

We are partnering with an organisation that supports members of the armed forces community, including veterans and adult family members with health conditions and other complex challenges, on their journey into employment after leaving service.

This key role involves delivering a grants portfolio to support the strategic aims of Veterans and Family Services. Working alongside the Senior Trusts Manager, you will be responsible for generating income from trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships at the 5- and 6-figure level. The core grant fundraising programme is well-established, with regular funds from military charities and other trusts and foundations. The corporate partnership programme has recently been updated to focus on higher-value grants and broader partnerships.
The charity has ambitious plans to expand its services and is seeking a capable and confident individual who can work autonomously and creatively across a diverse portfolio, while also engaging with the wider team. This is a remote role, open to those based in the UK, with travel required to London once a month. Interviews will take place on a rolling basis, so please get in touch ASAP.
As Trust and Corporate Fundraising Manager, you will:
- Support the development and delivery of the fundraising plan, proactively researching and pursuing new income opportunities, with targets for fundraising applications to trusts & foundations and corporate foundations. (Account Management 60%, New Business 40%)
- Develop strategic and collaborative relationships with funders to maximise income and ensure excellent supporter care with a team target of £770k
- Write and submit compelling, evidence-based funding applications, targeted to the priorities and criteria of the funder
- Provide excellent stewardship of all funders, building on the existing stewardship framework
Ideal skills and experience:
If you’re someone who enjoys a varied portfolio with a focus on trusts, foundations and corporate partners, particularly those with corporate foundations, and you’re ready to play a pivotal role in sustaining and expanding services, we would love to hear from you.
- Experience in grant fundraising, charitable foundations, corporate foundations, lottery or statutory sources
- Excellent research and prospecting skills to create a pipeline of relevant opportunities
- Proactive and highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, through a collaborative approach
- Creative thinker who can consider alternative options when making approaches to potential partners

Job description
Arts Therapies UK (formerly Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies) has been able to support the mental health needs of Birmingham and the surrounding areas for over 30 years now. However, we have launched an ambitious 5 year business plan to increase our overall delivery by 600%, and our turnover to exceed the £1 million mark.
Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Corporate and Communities Fundraiser to take the lead in this new role. This will be a challenging role where you will be creating something brand new and innovative. You will be working alongside a small but dedicated team who are all incredibly ambitious. Although this role is advertised as fixed term, it is our hope that the successful candidate will be able to develop this into a permanent role quickly and effectively.
