We are looking for a Part time Legacies Manager (21 hours per week), for an inspiring children's welfare charity to develop, manage and grow the organisation's legacies portfolio.

This is a London hybrid role with one day a week in the office.

The Role:
Develop and implement strategic plans for legacy fundraising.

Make direct approaches to potential donors via phone calls, one-to-one meetings, presentations, cultivation, and networking events.

Build and maintain excellent relationships with a portfolio of actual and potential legacy supporters.

Ensure effective donor recognition and stewardship strategies are in place to encourage long-term commitment.

The Candidate:
Proven track record in legacy giving.

Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with legacy supporters.

Strong understanding of legacy giving, including the latest trends and opportunities.

About You

As our Philanthropy Manager (Trusts) you will play a pivotal role in cultivating, nurturing, and growing relationships with Trusts and Foundations. This role involves working collaboratively across Save the Children teams to develop compelling proposals, secure support, and create sustainable partnerships.

You will also be responsible for independently providing expert stewardship and management of a portfolio of donors as well as actively driving new business creating and securing partnerships that create lasting impact for children.

In this role, you will:

• Independently managing a portfolio of existing and new donors through a variety of personalised and creative approaches ensuring excellent stewardship and translating into increased income for Save the Children 
• Actively driving new business, working closely with key members of Save the Children's programming teams, the Trusts & Foundations Lead and other colleagues to identify and assess new prospects and to identify the most appropriate and impactful proposition to secure partnerships that create impact for children. 
• Developing networks amongst donors and prospects to promote Save the Children's work and grow opportunities for philanthropic gifts. 
• Working cross-departmentally to produce high quality written proposals, bids, concept notes and applications for donors.
• Working in collaboration with other colleagues to identify, design and execute new engagement events, opportunities, and products for potential and existing donors.

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Experience of working in a fundraising environment or similar experience where comparable skills can be used to work with potential high-level funders and supporters.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with, engage and influence a wide range of donors, and stakeholders (internal and external)

Based in one of our hubs across Cambridgeshire (28 hours per week)

Centre 33 is looking to recruit an Development & Partnerships Lead, with a significant amount of experience working in an income generation and/or partnerships role, preferably within a charity. With a track record of successfully engaging in either grant making organisations and/or corporate givers, securing high-value relationships which will be an integral part of the Centre 33 Fundraising team.

Your role will be to deliver excellent communication and presentation skills with a persuasive style, both written and verbal. You will be a part of a team providing a meaningful, collaborative and sustained relationships with funders and prospective donors which grow to create new opportunities to positively impact young people.

You will have a wide-ranging ability to research and understand complex information and issues from difference perspectives and succinctly articulate these to inspire funding.

By listening to funders and sharing your findings with the Fundraising team, you will support Centre 33 to embed and develop a more meaningful impact in line with the organisations strategic plan.

You will be based in one of our hubs across Cambridgeshire, but will have willingness to travel locally and occasionally further afield to meet funders. Given the rural nature of Cambridgeshire, the successful candidate would benefit from having a driving licence and access to their own car.

1. Research and evaluate new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and other grant funders, maintaining a 12-month funding calendar.

2. Cultivate and nurture relationships with funding/grant-making organisations, both new and existing.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience

1. Proven experience and success in developing and drafting proposals and/or reports raising funds from trusts, foundations, other grant makers or the equivalent.

2. Experience of creating compelling and concise funding proposals, written documents and reports from a range of information sources, including detailed technical or sector specific information. about the organisation’s work.

3. Proven ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

4. Experience of research techniques applicable to identifying funding opportunities and framing funding bids.

5. Financially literate with the experience of producing and interpreting budgets, or other detailed numerical information.

6. Experience of working under your own initiative, dealing with conflicting demands and working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

7. Experience of project planning and/or project coordination.

8. Proven IT skills, ideally with experience of using databases.

9. Good knowledge of the charity sector.

Key Tasks

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all high value fundraising activity, including proposals, applications, and donor interactions, and be able to regularly report this activity back to the Head of Philanthropy.

• Manage a portfolio of low-mid level prospects and existing donors, developing clear strategies to cultivate relationships and secure continued philanthropic support of £1,000 to £10,000. Ensure all donors in the assigned portfolio are provided stewardship and take responsibility for contacts and annual work plan.

• Develop and deliver a programme of cultivation, stewardship and recognition low-mid level donors and prospects, proactively seeking opportunities to improve the chances of securing repeat gifts through bespoke communications and consistent stewardship.

• Support the Head of Philanthropy and wider High Value Team with stewardship and cultivation of donors and key contacts. These activities may include virtual events, stewardship events, proposal development, annual reporting, and direct marketing appeals.

• Ensure the upkeep of a database and filing system for all existing and prospective donors within High Value Giving liaising with the Finance and Administrative team to ensure reconciliation with financial record.

• Work closely with the Philanthropy team and other colleagues to maximise all opportunities and support a dynamic, successful, and professional team

• Ensure that data security is maintained and that legal and regulatory requirements are fully complied with.

• Undertake other tasks, when necessary, to achieve the team’s and the organisation’s overall objectives.

 General

• Managing a complex workload with competing demands and deadlines. The role holder will agree objectives and overall priorities with the Head of Philanthropy but is expected to manage unexpected/unplanned work within overall timeframes.

• The post holder is required to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Fundraising Team to ensure the successful delivery of fundraising activities.

• The post holder will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will need to communicate effectively and sensitively, building strong relationships with existing and potential donors.

Railway Children works here in the UK and internationally to support vulnerable children alone and at risk on the streets and at transport hubs. They're best known for their work in India, where thousands of children arrive frightened and alone at rail and bus terminals every day. Some are passing through having fallen prey to groomers, traffickers or drug gangs. Others are lost miles from home.

In this role, you'll be working for an organisation that responds to this need by:

* Training 11,614 British Transport Police and railway staff to identify and support vulnerable children.
* Reaching and protecting 3,727 children in India across 8 railway stations and 1 bus terminal.
* Supporting 1,789 children in Tanzania to move away from the streets to a brighter future.

About the role
You'll work as part of an established and growing fundraising team to secure and steward four, five and six-figure grants from trusts, foundations and institutions in the UK and overseas.

This will include a portfolio of new and existing donors with varied day-to-day tasks. You'll submit funding proposals and manage existing grants, as well as prepare high-quality feedback reports and deliver outstanding stewardship.

You will be joining our fantastic Fundraising team who work with trusts, foundations, institutions, companies, and individuals to ensure the charity has the funds and relationships necessary to achieve our aims.

This role will be responsible for managing existing corporate partnerships, developing new corporate relationships, and developing and delivering an events programme. Events is a relatively new area for the charity and we anticipate the events programme will, in the main, support our corporate partnerships and provide a varied package of engagement opportunities for our growing base of employee volunteers. These, and other events, will help raise vital funds as well as networking and new business development opportunities. 

We’re looking for someone who has experience of a similar role/s. You will have great people skills and have experience of building and maintaining strong relationships. You will be enthusiastic, energetic and with a can-do attitude who enjoys planning and organising and is not phased with periods of high intensity. You will have a positive approach and enjoy working as part of a team. 

As we all work remotely, you will also need to be a self-starter and able to work independently. You must be based in one of our 4 hub cities: London, Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool. The post holder will need a thorough understanding and commitment to LTSB’s vision, mission, and work.

About the role

Coram’s Fundraising Team raises funds for the charity – the Individual Giving team has responsibility for supporter care, customer service and donor administration and managing our supporter database. Coram has been growing its investment in Individual Giving for a number of years, has a loyal and very generous supporter base and an ambition to see this grow and develop further by embracing new ideas. The team has an exciting future and this role will play a key part in its success.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Individual Giving team and support the development and growth of the programme. The role will involve developing engaging content to communicate the importance and impact of our work, inspiring existing and new supporters to commit to long term support of the charity. This will involve printed media but also increasingly digital media as we look to widen the reach of our communications and messaging. It will also require excellent supporter care/donor retention skills to ensure that we make sure we maintain our donors support over the long term and experience working with databases, ideally Raiser’s Edge. The role is a great next step for someone in fundraising wishing to develop their fundraising skills further in direct marketing.

As our Face-to-Face Agency Manager, you will have the incredible opportunity to engage the public in the critical work we do, inspiring them to support children in need. Reporting to the Senior Manager Direct Engagement, you will lead the nationwide delivery of our face-to-face fundraising programme, ensuring its success day to day. 

In this role, you will:

• Drive the success of our face-to-face agency program, meeting and exceeding KPIs and targets through effective management of stakeholders.
• Manage budget allocation and optimization across channels, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently.
• Lead the implementation of compliance and safeguarding programs, maintaining the highest standards.
• Support delivery of our innovative fundraiser engagement program, optimizing performance and motivation.
• Utilize data-driven insights to adapt campaign delivery and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with agencies through direct engagement and site visits, ensuring transparency and excellence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and deliver exceptional results. Lead ad-hoc direct engagement projects as required, contributing to our mission-driven work.

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Experience managing end-to-end face-to-face fundraising campaigns and teams.
• Deep understanding of the F2F fundraising landscape and agency models.
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging training programs.
• Strong budget management skills and knowledge of charity marketing compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and drive results.

Ways of Working:
