New Partners and Funders:
· Identify and cultivate opportunities for new partnerships and funding streams.
· Develop compelling proposals for new partners in line with bid rules.
· Represent the organisation at events, leveraging networking opportunities to promote our mission.
Fundraising Development:
· Contribute to the ongoing development of the fundraising strategy.
· Create presentations to attract new funders.
· Generate leads and support the fundraising team in achieving their goals.
Account Management:
· Manage a portfolio of partners, ensuring effective communication and stewardship.
· Build strong, long-lasting relationships that advance the organisation's goals.
· Prepare and submit funding applications and reports in a timely manner.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project delivery and reporting.

Essential:
· Proven experience in fundraising management, including bid writing and account management.

About You
You will be someone with exceptional people skills, a leader who understands the importance of community and enjoys supporting people to exercise similar passions through volunteering.
You'll bring:
• Proven experience leading and motivating teams, ideally having managed volunteers, or a retail team previously.
• A strong understanding of what good looks like in a busy and successful community-led shop, ideally with some experience within Retail or a clear passion for sustainable fashion and knowledge of products and trends.

Ways of Working: On-site – this role will be based in the Sidmouth shop in Devon. The shop is currently open 6 days per week (Monday to Saturday), and we're looking for someone able to work 5 days (35 hours) per week to include some weekend working.

Overview of the role
Our Development Manager will play a key role in supporting ThinkForward to achieve ambitious growth targets and deliver on our mission to support young people facing challenges to build a brighter, better future.
You will work flexibly across all income streams to identify and convert high-value funding opportunities from trusts and foundations, corporate partners and high-net-worth individuals, as well as supporting excellent stewardship for our existing funders. We are seeking a manager, with a range of skills, able to lead the team, oversee the operations of the charity, provide support to the Trustee board, and ensure the future financial strength of the charity. We are seeking a manager who can provide strategic leadership and vision, has strong communication skills, has knowledge of charity finance and skills in bid writing and income generation, and who is passionate about the early years and the work of Home-Start.
Home-Start Staffordshire Moorlands has operated successfully in the Moorlands district for 25 years. We have a strong track record in the delivery of both home visiting support through our skilled Coordinators and Volunteer team and in Group provision for the early years.
The successful candidate should
- Demonstrate commitment to the importance of the early years and the importance of support to parents who may be facing difficulties
- Demonstrate experience of leadership and management in a changing environment
- Have experience of securing funding and income generation
- Be able to form partnerships with voluntary, statutory and community organisations
