We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Database Manager to join our Fundraising Team. This is a newly created role to support the needs of our highly performing fundraising team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day management of our CRM system (Raiser’s Edge – NXT) ensuring all information on our database is accurate and up to date. The postholder will lead and implement our support journey strategies ensuring these can be run as smoothly as possible.

The fundraising team at Haven House is relatively small and you’ll be working across the department to ensure that we can maximise our data from our supporters as well as identifying new data needed to better our fundraising programmes. This is an exciting role that would suit a highly motivated individual looking to make an impact, helping Haven House to succeed in data-led fundraising and achieve ambitious targets.

You will need:

• Experience of CRM/database management within a fast-paced fundraising/ sales/customer-facing environment
• Experience of delivering and presenting KPI performance analysis and reports
• Strong analytical and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload, deal with conflicting demands and work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Full knowledge and understanding of GDPR and other data protection legislation

• You’ll work closely with and support the CEO of Eastbourne Foodbank in maintaining and evolving the existing relationship with the Big Lottery Fund and developing collaborative fundraising activities and joint bids with five other Trussell Trust Foodbanks across East Sussex.

Job Title: Trust Fundraising Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up.  We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects.  You will help to develop our case for support and develop a suite of proposals and reports that will convey to funders what Parentkind does, what the parents and schools we work with want, and how we support them.  Attention to detail is key, as is the ability to manage your time and prioritise your work.

As the Institute’s Fundraising Manager you will play a pivotal role in securing the financial resources necessary to support the Institute’s strategic initiatives and operations, as well as maintaining the relationships and communities that drive long term funding. Working closely with the Institute’s Executive Leadership and board, you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy from mixed funding sources – government, philanthropic and corporate - engaging with funders, and building lasting relationships with stakeholders to maximise funding opportunities.

Key responsibilities & skills development opportunities: 

Fundraising Strategy and Implementation

The Director of Fundraising and Engagement plays a crucial part in helping us achieve our vision that no family whose child has cancer, or a life-challenging condition should have to cope alone.  With an ambitious fundraising aim over the next 3 years, you will be leading a dedicated Fundraising and Engagement team to generate in excess of £1.2million income annually.

As a vital part of the Senior Management Team, you will report directly to the CEO. Fundraising Events Officer

Location: The role is based at the Trust’s office in West Berkshire with a minimum of three days per week expected to be worked at our Newbury office. Flexible working arrangements are available with the understanding that this must meet the objectives of the charity and requirements of the role.

Accountable to: Fundraising Events Manager

Start date: As soon as possible

Hours of work: Full-time, permanent.

Salary range: £22,000 - £25,000 FTE, depending on experience.

Purpose

This is an exciting and vital role supporting the delivery of the events programme within a leading mental health charity.

We are looking for someone with a love for events and a passion for supporting people wanting to raise money to make a difference for young people’s mental health. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to work on multiple projects concurrently. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional supporter experience for our event participants and community fundraisers. Experience within the third sector is desirable but not a necessity.

As Fundraising Events Officer, your role is to support the Fundraising Events Manager to plan, deliver and review an exciting calendar of Charlie Waller fundraising events, supporting a wide range of third-party challenge events and community led activities.

Key responsibilities and duties

The Fundraising Events Officer will support the overall delivery of our varied events programme, bringing their enthusiasm to a calendar of events that aim to raise significant income for the charity, whilst also raising the charities profile and reach. They will play a key role in the delivery of well-loved annual events and support our growing network of event participants. Including but not limited to:

• Supporting the overall delivery of our events programme, working closely with the Fundraising Events Manager, Head of Fundraising and fundraising committees.
• The opportunity to take a lead role on the planning, delivery and evaluation of a number of events, managing the expenditure budget and meeting income targets.
• Maintain event income and supporter records in the database, working closely with the Fundraising Assistant and finance team on processing income and invoices.
• Support the fundraising committees with their activities, providing administrative support and guidance as needed.
• Support the promotion of our fundraising events, writing copy, building emails and supporting social activity.
• Support the development of our event marketing collateral, to support participants fundraising efforts.
• Build relationships with third-party event organisers.
• Provide regular updates on progress against agreed objectives and contribute to wider departmental fundraising reports as required.
• Represent The Charlie Waller Trust at events as required which will include ad-hoc evenings and weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.
• Monitor online fundraising, through supporting those raising funds, to creating and maintaining clear income and communication records.
• Develop excellent and enduring relationships with existing supporters, fundraisers and community groups and engage new audiences. Including recognising and supporting their fundraising efforts and thanking them appropriately.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to individuals raising money for us.
• Ensure that systems and processes are used as expected, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.
• Liaise with a wide variety of people and organisations including supporters of the charity, trainers, funders, other statutory and voluntary organisations who work in the mental health field, and members of the public.
• Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures.
• Other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the trust, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.
• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.

VOICES are excited to be seeking our first full time fundraiser to support our growth and development. We are looking for an individual who has relevant sector experience, a good knowledge and understanding of fundraising and a commitment to working in a trauma informed way. As a survivor led organisation, we are looking for someone who shares our ethos and will be proactive in consulting with our Lived Experience Group(s).

You will work closely with the CEO to help secure the long-term future of VOICES, through expanding and diversifying our income generation.

With a good understanding and knowledge of grants and trusts fundraising, you will also help direct our future – with consideration to community fundraising, charity shop and/or social enterprise. Whilst we’ve many ideas about what it might look like, no decisions have yet been made and we’re keen to work collaboratively with our new fundraiser and hear their vision.

At VOICES, we have big ambitions which would cement our role as sector leader in recovery services and ensuring survivors’ voices remain at the heart of policy and practice.

This role will also involve working to help develop VOICES’ name, increasing community awareness of our charity. You will therefore bring with you, knowledge of social media, marketing and communications and/or a willingness to learn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop, oversee and actively lead the implementation of a fundraising strategy which exploits a wide range of fundraising opportunities, maintains diverse and sustainable income streams, and builds the organisation’s voluntary income capacity to meet its aims and objectives.

- Oversee and support the development of fundraising, with consideration to diversifying our income avenues.

- Working closely with the CEO and Finance Assistant, maintain an overview of funding across the organisation and analyse income sources to manage the fundraising strategy, assess progress against targets and contribute towards our financial capacity.

- Absorb the knowledge of the team and consult with them regarding priorities, representation, approach and model.

- Work with the CEO to develop high quality grants and trusts applications (our current main source of income).

- Build on our existing corporate partnerships and establish / develop new corporate partnerships for VOICES.

- Attend Finance Committee meetings and the Board of Trustees, reporting on fundraising and progress against the strategy.

- Help to grow the name of VOICES, through use of relationships, partnerships, marketing and communications.

- Work closely with the Centre Administrator to agree a planned approach to social media.

- Working with the VOICES team, consider the role of volunteers in VOICES – taking management responsibility for any fundraising volunteers.

- In line with our trauma-informed ethos, adopt a trauma-informed approach.

- Work with clients, including the Lived Experience Group, to hear their ideas for fundraising and enable their participation in events / volunteer opportunities where appropriate.

- Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of key stakeholders including Clients, funders (including trusts, companies, major donors), Trustees and volunteers.

- Continuously monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, taking corrective action or enhancing them when necessary

We’re recruiting for a Fundraising Communities Officer to join Samaritans. You’ll work in a small & friendly team to drive the delivery of our Mass Participation events portfolio including our flagship event, Dawn Walk and our social fundraising challenges, with a focus on supporter stewardship.

You’ll have previous fundraising experience, within the charity sector. You’ll have experience of moderating an online community or previous experience in response handling, such as managing a busy inbox.
