St Hilda’s East has a 135-year history of combating deprivation and social exclusion in East London. We also run a day centre in Shadwell, with a focus on supporting elders from the Bangladeshi and other communities. 

This is an exciting time to join the team, as we commemorate the Charity's 135th anniversary with a series of fundraising activities, campaigns and events. We are in a unique position in that we have strong, continuing links with our founders, the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies' College together with the school’s parents, and pupils.

As Fundraising Lead (Corporates & Individuals) you will play a vital role in securing support from corporates, local businesses and individuals to help our charity to continue to thrive for a further 135 years!

The role can be worked flexibly over 22.5 hours per week with opportunities to work from home as well as our friendly offices in Shoreditch, London. 25 days holiday and bank holidays (pro rata) plus a pension scheme.

The Director of Fundraising and Engagement plays a crucial part in helping us achieve our vision that no family whose child has cancer, or a life-challenging condition should have to cope alone.  With an ambitious fundraising aim over the next 3 years, you will be leading a dedicated Fundraising and Engagement team to generate in excess of £1.2million income annually.

As a vital part of the Senior Management Team, you will report directly to the CEO. Your role involves leading the Fundraising and Engagement team, where you will develop and implement innovative fundraising and engagement ideas along with bringing a high level of enthusiasm. As a hands-on and creative fundraiser, your pivotal responsibility is to ensure Momentum’s income sustainability while fostering personal growth and development for our team members.

Role overview

§  Working with the team collaboratively, responsible for leading the implementation of the fundraising and engagement strategy, which seeks to build and improve existing income streams, accelerate the growth in under optimised and emerging income streams and invest in growth opportunities.

§  Build and maintain a portfolio of high value fundraising streams including legacy giving, major donors along with developing new strategy and approach for individual giving.

§  Develop and deliver Momentum’s annual income strategy to secure in excess of £1.2 million increasing to £1.5 million over the next 3 years.

§  Provide exemplary stewardship of our supporters, focussing on retention and development of supporter journeys.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Research and evaluate new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and other grant funders, maintaining a 12-month funding calendar.

2. Cultivate and nurture relationships with funding/grant-making organisations, both new and existing.

3. Develop compelling cases for support for designated projects or organisational areas, tailoring funding bids and applications accordingly.

4. Enhance Buttle UK's ability to deliver compelling reports to donors, meeting or surpassing their expectations.

Fundraising Officer (Trusts and Foundations)

Location: Home-working or Hybrid, depending on your location

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Database Manager to join our Fundraising Team. This is a newly created role to support the needs of our highly performing fundraising team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day management of our CRM system (Raiser’s Edge – NXT) ensuring all information on our database is accurate and up to date. The postholder will lead and implement our support journey strategies ensuring these can be run as smoothly as possible.

The fundraising team at Haven House is relatively small and you’ll be working across the department to ensure that we can maximise our data from our supporters as well as identifying new data needed to better our fundraising programmes. This is an exciting role that would suit a highly motivated individual looking to make an impact, helping Haven House to succeed in data-led fundraising and achieve ambitious targets.

• Experience of CRM/database management within a fast-paced fundraising/ sales/customer-facing environment

Battersea’s Income Generation department plays a pivotal role in making sure we can be here for every cat and dog now and in the future. We’re looking for a Fundraising Officer to join our small and friendly team at our head office in Rugby, working with our Income Generation Manager to ensure our income meets the increasing demands for our services.

You will lead on developing and supporting trust, grant, commissioned and community fundraising activities, including researching fundraising opportunities and writing grant applications, working in collaboration with the Income Generation Manager.  Supporting our amazing community fundraisers is an important element of the role, providing fundraising newsletters, updates and maintaining our fundraising webpages.

You will ideally have previous experience of working in the voluntary sector and experience of developing funding applications and building relationships with donors and fundraisers, but please don’t be put off applying if you don’t meet all these requirements.  The right candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively in a friendly and professional manner, with excellent IT skills. 

You will be required to undergo DBS clearance to work at The Survivors Trust.

Full-time - 35 hours per week, flexible working hours and opportunity for some hybrid working

About the Survivors Trust

The Survivors Trust is a UK-wide membership organisation for specialist voluntary sector rape and sexual abuse support services.   Our vision is for a society where services for survivors are trauma-informed and accessible according to need.  Survivors and their partners, parents, families and supporters have a right to support and justice can access the right service for them at the right time, free of charge, and according to need.

We have over 120 member organisations in the UK and Ireland providing counselling, emotional support and advocacy for women, men, young people and children who have been affected by rape or sexual abuse/exploitation at any time in their lives.

We support our member agencies by providing a wide range of infrastructure support including regional meetings, networking events, specialist forums and workshops and representing our member agencies in national meetings.  We provide accredited training for Independent Sexual Violence Advisors and bespoke training and workshops for professionals and organisations.  We run a national helpline for anyone who has been affected by sexual violence in any way.

This is a dynamic new role which will play a key part in our strategy for income growth and diversification, with a particular focus on Trusts and Foundations and individuals.

Role snapshot:

• Support the Senior Income Generation Manager with the implementation and success of the income generation strategy
• Work with our Education Team to develop funding propositions
• Provide a high standard of stewardship to all our audiences
• Managing and maintaining relationships with our existing grant funders, to maximise relationships and long-term income growth
• Identifying prospects among trusts and foundations, researching and writing tailored bids to support our education activities and core funding needs
• Develop supporter journeys for our small group of individual donors
• Work with other team members including our Comms Manager to identify potential new audiences and to target communications to build our supporter base

Who are we looking for?

We believe the ideal candidate is an experienced Fundraising Officer with strong relationship management skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with our team and external stakeholders.

You will have experience of fundraising across varied audience groups, strong bid-writing skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will have a proactive and strategic way of working and an affinity with our mission and values. You will be detail orientated and organised yet able to focus also on the bigger picture with a commitment to receiving high quality results.
