RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Research and evaluate new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and other grant funders, maintaining a 12-month funding calendar.

2. Cultivate and nurture relationships with funding/grant-making organisations, both new and existing.

3. Develop compelling cases for support for designated projects or organisational areas, tailoring funding bids and applications accordingly.

4. Enhance Buttle UK's ability to deliver compelling reports to donors, meeting or surpassing their expectations.

5. Submit timely reports to donors, ensuring compliance with monitoring and evaluation requirements.

6. Support the maintenance of systems tracking fund allocation and expenditure, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information for funders.

7. Manage donor records on the Raiser's Edge fundraising database, including recording activities, income, and producing management reports.

8. Stay informed about funding opportunities and trends in the sector through attending conferences, workshops, and events.

9. Generate accurate and timely management information on fundraising activities and budgets.

10. Ensure integration of fundraising activities within the wider staff team and provide necessary support.

11. Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Fundraising and Marketing and/or the Trust Fundraising Manager.

12. Proactively assess own performance and development needs.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience

1. Proven experience and success in developing and drafting proposals and/or reports raising funds from trusts, foundations, other grant makers or the equivalent.

2. Experience of creating compelling and concise funding proposals, written documents and reports from a range of information sources, including detailed technical or sector specific information. about the organisation’s work.

3. Proven ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

4. Experience of research techniques applicable to identifying funding opportunities and framing funding bids.

5. Financially literate with the experience of producing and interpreting budgets, or other detailed numerical information.

6. Experience of working under your own initiative, dealing with conflicting demands and working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

7. Experience of project planning and/or project coordination.

8. Proven IT skills, ideally with experience of using databases.

9. Good knowledge of the charity sector.

Key Tasks

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all high value fundraising activity, including proposals, applications, and donor interactions, and be able to regularly report this activity back to the Head of Philanthropy.

• Manage a portfolio of low-mid level prospects and existing donors, developing clear strategies to cultivate relationships and secure continued philanthropic support of £1,000 to £10,000. Ensure all donors in the assigned portfolio are provided stewardship and take responsibility for contacts and annual work plan.

• Develop and deliver a programme of cultivation, stewardship and recognition low-mid level donors and prospects, proactively seeking opportunities to improve the chances of securing repeat gifts through bespoke communications and consistent stewardship.

• Support the Head of Philanthropy and wider High Value Team with stewardship and cultivation of donors and key contacts. These activities may include virtual events, stewardship events, proposal development, annual reporting, and direct marketing appeals.

• Ensure the upkeep of a database and filing system for all existing and prospective donors within High Value Giving liaising with the Finance and Administrative team to ensure reconciliation with financial record.

• Work closely with the Philanthropy team and other colleagues to maximise all opportunities and support a dynamic, successful, and professional team

• Ensure that data security is maintained and that legal and regulatory requirements are fully complied with.

• Undertake other tasks, when necessary, to achieve the team’s and the organisation’s overall objectives.

 General

• Managing a complex workload with competing demands and deadlines. The role holder will agree objectives and overall priorities with the Head of Philanthropy but is expected to manage unexpected/unplanned work within overall timeframes.

• The post holder is required to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Fundraising Team to ensure the successful delivery of fundraising activities.

• The post holder will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will need to communicate effectively and sensitively, building strong relationships with existing and potential donors.

Experience

Railway Children works here in the UK and internationally to support vulnerable children alone and at risk on the streets and at transport hubs. They're best known for their work in India, where thousands of children arrive frightened and alone at rail and bus terminals every day. Some are passing through having fallen prey to groomers, traffickers or drug gangs. Others are lost miles from home.

In this role, you'll be working for an organisation that responds to this need by:

* Training 11,614 British Transport Police and railway staff to identify and support vulnerable children.
* Reaching and protecting 3,727 children in India across 8 railway stations and 1 bus terminal.
* Supporting 1,789 children in Tanzania to move away from the streets to a brighter future.

About the role
You'll work as part of an established and growing fundraising team to secure and steward four, five and six-figure grants from trusts, foundations and institutions in the UK and overseas.

This will include a portfolio of new and existing donors with varied day-to-day tasks. You'll submit funding proposals and manage existing grants, as well as prepare high-quality feedback reports and deliver outstanding stewardship.

This role will be responsible for managing existing corporate partnerships, developing new corporate relationships, and developing and delivering an events programme. Events is a relatively new area for the charity and we anticipate the events programme will, in the main, support our corporate partnerships and provide a varied package of engagement opportunities for our growing base of employee volunteers. These, and other events, will help raise vital funds as well as networking and new business development opportunities. 

We’re looking for someone who has experience of a similar role/s. You will have great people skills and have experience of building and maintaining strong relationships. You will be enthusiastic, energetic and with a can-do attitude who enjoys planning and organising and is not phased with periods of high intensity. Community Fundraising Coordinator

The Community Fundraising Team The Community Fundraising Team at Children with Cancer UK raises just under one million pounds annually. Our community fundraisers take on their own fundraising activities or taking part in one of our fundraising products. The community fundraising team is part of the wider fundraising team which has a number of established fundraising events, individual giving campaigns, sports events and corporate supporters

About the Role

This role is central to connecting supporters of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity with the challenge of their lifetime. The Challenge Events Fundraiser will promote events such as runs, marathons, abseils, bike rides and skydives. It is key to inspiring, motivating and supporting people who are raising money for the Charity by taking part in these types of events.

About You:
As our Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our fundraising strategy. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to raise unrestricted income by engaging schools and workplaces to participate in Christmas Jumper Day and raise much-needed funds for children for 6 months of the year. For the other 6 months of the year, you will lead marketing and fundraising projects across Public Income and Engagement to drive us towards Save the Children's goal of raising £60 million by 2030.

The team has an exciting future and this role will play a key part in its success.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Individual Giving team and support the development and growth of the programme. The role will involve developing engaging content to communicate the importance and impact of our work, inspiring existing and new supporters to commit to long term support of the charity. This will involve printed media but also increasingly digital media as we look to widen the reach of our communications and messaging. It will also require excellent supporter care/donor retention skills to ensure that we make sure we maintain our donors support over the long term and experience working with databases, ideally Raiser’s Edge. • Network and attend external events to raise visibility for Save the Children's Africa Philanthropy Initiative.
• Develop and implement strategic donor plans and stewardship events, tailored to engage and steward donors from Africa.
• Manage the Africa Advisory Board, identify potential donors, and ensure effective approaches are made to secure funds.

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Experience in working or living in Africa, with a passion for African philanthropy and its potential for transformative change.

About you
As our Face-to-Face Agency Manager, you will have the incredible opportunity to engage the public in the critical work we do, inspiring them to support children in need. Reporting to the Senior Manager Direct Engagement, you will lead the nationwide delivery of our face-to-face fundraising programme, ensuring its success day to day.

• Drive the success of our face-to-face agency program, meeting and exceeding KPIs and targets through effective management of stakeholders.

At Bookmark Reading Charity, we exist to change children’s life stories through the joy of reading. We are recruiting a Fundraising Research and Administration Intern who will join the charity for six months and play an important role in providing valuable insight to teams across the charity, with a particular focus on supporting the Fundraising team. You will be responsible for research and analysis into potential donors, along with providing administrative support with donor communications, campaigns and database management. Job Description

• Lead on prospect research to build our pipeline of prospect funders across corporates, foundations and individuals
• Identify new organisations and philanthropists who could be supporters of Bookmark
• Support with delivering an effective impact reporting programme by creating termly update reports, case studies and mass mailings
• Work with the Schools team to organise donor visits at our partner schools
• Complete online enquiry forms for prospective Trusts and Foundations 
• Work with the Impact Team to ensure that key impact statements and statistics are shared with the Fundraising team to support exceptional proposals

• Collate, input and maintain accurate information on databases, including our customer relationship management (CRM) system and SharePoint

Willow is recruiting a new Individual Giving Fundraiser and Prospectus is excited to lead the search. Willow work tirelessly to provide support and special days for seriously ill 16-40 year olds. This newly created role will work in a hybrid setup from home and the Hertfordshire office.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will be responsible for cultivating and stewardship relationships with individual donors with a focus on acquiring and retaining regular givers as well as coordinating appeals, raffles, legacy and in-memory programmes. The Individual Giving Fundraiser will lead the new gift solicitation programme which involves a new support journey, offering different opportunities to scale gifts up and down. You will work within the brilliant Supporter Fundraising Team and meet overall income targets with your colleagues.

The selected candidate will have experience of working in direct marketing with good working knowledge of donor recruitment, retention and development. You will have experience of working in a fundraising environment and ideally have experience of preparing and managing annual plans and budgets. You will ideally like to keep up to date with individual giving fundraising trends and look to increase your skills and experience in this vital area of fundraising for Willow.
