The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was born out of the tragic story of Suzy Lamplugh, a 25-year-old estate agent who went missing whilst at work in 1986, was never found, and was eventually declared deceased in 1993. The Trust was set up in Suzy’s name and continues to be a pioneer in reducing the risk and prevalence of abuse, aggression and violence - with a specific focus on stalking and harassment – through education, campaigning and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the delivery and evaluation of national campaigns on workplace safety as well as stalking, harassment and other priority areas.

Maintain effective relationships with civil servants, policy makers, national and local decision makers, and other campaigning bodies and build relevant networks of stakeholders.

Proactively keep abreast of issues within the post-holder’s own portfolio, general criminal justice, personal safety and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) policy developments and up to date campaigning techniques.

To undertake or commission research on specific policy areas as required.

Develop policy recommendations, write policy and campaigns reports, lobby government and other decision makers and stakeholders, and respond on behalf of Suzy Lamplugh Trust to government enquiries, consultations or other relevant initiatives.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Policy and Campaigns Officer is responsible for supporting on Suzy Lamplugh Trust’s policy and campaigning work relating to reducing harassment, violence and aggression in society by addressing these issues at their root cause, working with employers to improve personal safety culture within organisations and seeking to influence policy and legislative change where necessary. This role will also support campaigns that ensure that victims of stalking receive better support and protection.

- Work with the Head Chef to deliver the catering services within the care home

About the capital project
The Playhouse Capital Development project is progressing through RIBA stage 3 with a design freeze now implemented. Work will continue to bring together a final stage 3 report which will give clear costings and timeframes for the project, before submitting a formal planning application at the end of October 2025. We anticipate that following this we will seek final approval to progress to RIBA stage 4 and commit to a start date for mid 2027 and a schedule of works that will see the project completed before 2029.
About this role
This part time (average 3 days per week) fixed term role has been created to work cross organisation and to work collaboratively with a new-look Development team to secure additional funding to realise this transformational capital project.

Key Responsibilities
· Co-lead and develop your team in partnership with the Service Manager in delivering recovery-focused, high-quality, safe and person-centred care, delivering great outcomes for people using services.
· Informing the future direction and development of the Swindon Wellbeing Services including working closely with Directors and Commissioners internally and externally of the organisation.
· Champion innovation and co-lead the implementation of enhancements to services, and support the implementation of change, best practice and continuous improvement.
· Establish effective working relationships with key referrers including the Primary Care Networks and Secondary Care Services in your locality, facilitating meaningful two-way dialogue with key stakeholders.
· Understand and build upon local assets and resources, to enable holistic and flexible place-based support structures that are responsive to local needs.
· Ensure all staff are supported and developed through on-the-job coaching, individual supervision, group supervision and appraisals, identifying and promptly addressing learning and development needs.
· Produce regular outcome reports demonstrating the effectiveness of the service and highlighting gaps in provision.
· To be involved with the recruitment of new staff including participating on the interview panel and leading on the inductions of new Swindon staff.
· To oversee the recruitment of volunteers, including participating on the interview panel and leading the induction.
· The role will include being on call based on a rota system to provide support to staff in services across Swindon & Gloucestershire Mind when required.
· To attend meetings in relation to the Sanford House building and meetings relating to contracts.
· To conduct risk assessments in relation to service areas, ensuring the services are using the Mental Health Triage Scale effectively and appropriately
· To investigate any incidents reported by staff or people accessing services and follow up with recorded outcomes following S&G Mind policies and procedures
· To explore complaints made to the Swindon SBC wellbeing contract and follow the relevant procedures and policies.
· To undertake investigations in line with relevant policies e.g., complaints policy, HR investigations.
· To ensure all staff are assessing risk and that risk is managed appropriately in line with the persons needs and the policies/procedures of the service.
· To ensure that all lone working arrangements are in place and always followed.

About the role
North Wales Community Law is a charity established in 2023 that provides free legal advice to people in North Wales. We have a small team of caseworkers and we want to grow our team to enable us to support more people. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to our vision to make sure that everyone in North Wales has access to the services and expertise they need to uphold their rights, fight inequality and challenge injustice.
We are looking for a solicitor or experienced caseworker to provide specialist housing or family law casework and advice under the supervision of our Legal Services Director. Based in our offices in Llandudno Junction, the role will involve regular travel to community based outreach clinics in North Wales, particularly Gwynedd and Ynys Mon.
We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience of relevant Welsh housing legislation and qualified solicitors with experience of legally aided civil litigation.

Duties
- To provide legal advice and casework assistance and give appropriate advice and support to clients, managing your own caseload and making applications for public funding as required.
- To liaise with landlords’ and other parties’ representatives, solicitors, other agencies and groups as required.
- To ensure that all casework, advice, and assistance complies with the requirements of the organisation’s processes, accreditations and, where publicly funded, complies with the requirements of the Legal Aid Agency.
- To collate evidence and work in partnership with other advice providers locally and regionally to influence the development of policy and legislation in relation to housing and domestic abuse.
- To undertake outreach work, including liaising with local communities, delivering talks and presentations to groups, and visiting community settings as appropriate. Work from various locations as reasonably required.
- To inform and participate in our public legal education work, to promote North Wales Community Law and a rights-respecting culture in north Wales.
- To actively engage with local community groups and organisations, bringing together our experience, skills and knowledge with that of others, sharing learning wherever possible.
- To prepare reports on your own work for the information of the Trustee Board, funders and other stakeholders, as required.
- To actively contribute to internal meetings, including cascading learning.
- To attend appropriate training courses and maintain readership of relevant publications to maintain and develop professional expertise.

Essential
- Experience of delivering housing or family law advice and complex casework - advising and supporting clients through the legal system
- Ability to manage a busy caseload, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Experience of legal aid processes, meeting financial targets and time recording requirements using case management systems.
- Good organisational, prioritising and time management skills.
- Experience of team and multi-agency working.
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with the organisation’s client group.
