BRAC, one of the world’s leading development organisations, is seeking a Media Engagement Lead to drive forward our media engagement strategy in Europe. 

Overview of the role

• After 50 years of southern-led impact at scale, BRAC is more determined than ever to create opportunities to realise human potential. In order to do this, BRAC is looking to raise awareness of its work and values amongst key stakeholders in strategic markets across Europe. Engaging regularly and effectively with the media in Europe is therefore vital. 
   
• The Media Engagement Lead will play a leading role in designing and delivering BRAC’s media engagement plans across Europe. This is a pivotal time for BRAC as we begin to invest in relationship development for influence and partnerships across Europe, and this is a vital role in determining the success of this new chapter.
   
• The role will be based in London, a Global Media Hub, but will be tasked with supporting media engagement with publications across Europe, particularly in Germany and Scandinavia.
   
• The Lead will be the focal point for BRAC’s media engagement across Europe and contribute significantly to both securing new media relationships and making the most of existing ones.
   
• This role offers the opportunity to create real change, leveraging the half-century legacy of BRAC – as a world-leading, Southern-led INGO – to develop a strategic media approach towards major European actors and share BRAC’s story with our target audiences through the media.

As Viva’s Head of Impact, you will work closely with the Network Partnerships Team Leadership to lead the development of a new approach to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, with the primary purpose of supporting partner networks to know their impact and share learning with each other. You will enable partner networks and Viva to build, measure and learn together, evaluating the effectiveness of programmes and methodologies, adapting them to ensure desired impact is reached and sharing learning with each other and with other development partners.

You will also work to ensure all programmes funded by Viva are accountable, well-monitored and contribute to our learning environment with clear opportunities to learn and adapt throughout the programme delivery and reporting processes.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Shared leadership: You will contribute to strategic decision making as part of the Network Partnerships Leadership Team and be part of shaping the vision and practice of Viva as an organisation from a Christian faith perspective.
• Viva MEAL framework: You will develop and manage a robust MEAL Framework for Viva
• Network health: You will work closely with the Network Partnerships Leadership Team to review Viva’s Network Health Check process and develop a system designed to support partner networks to build strong and sustainable networks
• Reviewing project delivery: You will work closely with Network Coaches to agree the most efficient outworking of the MEAL Framework with the Viva partner networks for projects where Viva has brokered funding.
• Evaluating Viva’s work: You will lead the process of evaluating Viva’s work, including but not limited to needs assessments, baseline survey, final evaluation, data quality audits, collecting monitoring data, network satisfaction surveys, and field supervision.
• Representing Viva: You will at different times and ways represent Viva externally, for example, through speaking in churches, prayer meetings, meeting with other Christian organisations.

This role will suit you if you:

• have at least a Bachelor’s degree in impact measurement or international development with a MEAL module, or a related field
• are experienced in working in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning-related functions or related field
• have experience in project management including grant management and reporting
• are to demonstrate an active Christian faith, with an understanding of the Christian faith and church culture to be able to effectively engage with partner networks and churches

This is a part-time role for Viva, based anywhere in the world where Viva can employ you. If based in the UK, the full-time salary range is £36,000 to £40,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience. Jangala is seeking a proven and inspiring Head of Programmes to lead our impactful and scalable internet connectivity initiatives in the UK and around the world. Details of the role

As the Head of Programmes, you will play a central role in Jangala’s evolution at this important juncture, leading Jangala’s efforts to provide critical internet access to those who need it most. You will build and lead the partnerships with a wide range of delivery partners, from UK councils to the UN and major aid agencies, that will facilitate Jangala’s growing impact around the world, as well as lead a team dedicated to building efficient and insight-driven programmes. Your leadership will ensure the successful implementation of our connectivity initiatives, and help achieve Jangala’s ambitious impact targets providing meaningful connectivity worldwide.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead Jangala’s overall programme delivery, building partnerships across the UN, NGO and public sectors to deliver internet connectivity to millions of people by 2028 

• Ensuring that our programmes are high-quality and impactful, delivering meaningful connectivity by implementing our M&E frameworks and conducting first level impact assessment

• Working closely with our Strategy, Insights & Advocacy Lead to develop and implement our M&E frameworks, ensuring we are accurately measuring our impact

• Work closely with our Project Delivery Lead, assuring the robustness of our programmes, and due diligence process - including in high-risk environments subject to special regulations and sanctions

• Working to make our programmes accessible and scalable, so that they can serve both major organisations and grassroots partners in line with Jangala’s principles of universal accessibility 

• Act as Jangala’s Safeguarding Lead, managing overall responsibility for Jangala’s safeguarding responsibilities to the people we support

• Building and leading a high-performing programmes team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

• Representing Jangala at key events, conferences, and meetings to enhance our visibility and opportunity for impact.

Important details

Jangala’s office is based in London and operates a remote-first working policy. Travel to our London office will be required for collaborative work at least once a week.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.

To maximise ENN’s impact, functioning and profile through the use of improved communication and digital strategy, accessibility, culture and practice. 

 Key responsibilities

 Communications Strategy

• Lead the development and socialisation of an effective organisational communications strategy and implementation plan
• Analyse and brief ENN team and trustees on evolving Communications and Digital environment.
• Build a Communications and Digital culture through training and mentoring colleagues in the improved use of communications and digital tools and the establishment of organisational norms and ways of working.
• Curation of aligned branding, internal and external communication across all ENN’s workstreams, in line with ENN values and strategic objectives.
• Focal point for all ENN marketing, communications and digital issues

Training:

• Oversee ENN and partner awareness, knowledge and understanding of the evolving context and best practices in communications, digital and marketing including use of appropriate media levers
• Develop and implement training programmes and pilots for internal colleagues on the use of all communications media around standards, best practices and house styles, including use of social media

​Platform management:

• Manage and develop ENN social media platforms for optimal visibility, engagement and impact, working with donors and collaborators to proactively engage their platforms and networks towards mutually beneficial ends
• Oversee the management and development of ENN’s website including a new CMS and Forum platform
• Review and deliver performance indicators across all relevant platforms to ensure SEO and high user engagement is measured

Content:

• Work with copy editors, proof-readers, designers, podcast and video producers, developers and external agencies to create new, or update existing digital and publications content
• As a member of the FEX editorial team, provide specific and tailored input and support to ENN’s flagship publication Field Exchange (FEX) on style, brand, design and presentation of print and on-line content.
• Develop and apply guidance to ensure content is engaging and consistent with brand, house styles and tone
• Oversee and approve ENN’s social media content
• Develop and manage a bank of content including stories and images for use in ENN’s publications, products, monitoring and evaluation work and media usage.
• Coordinate publication of all marketing and publicity materials to ensure optimised impact

Analytics and reporting:

• Actively use omnichannel and multichannel reporting, analysis and insight to help develop and optimise campaigns, incorporating other monitoring & evaluation outputs where relevant.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 Essential requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification or experience preferably in media, journalism, science health or humanitarian communications, digital production, marketing or public relations
• Demonstrable experience of creating and implementing successful communication and digital strategies
• Demonstrable experience of planning, creating and publishing engaging content across digital channels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to adapt technical and scientific information for a range of audiences
• Experience in website project management and implementation
• Excellent team-working skills and ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
• Proficient in SEO, Google Analytics, content marketing and digital marketing strategies
• Experience in web content writing and management, web design and database management

 Terms and Conditions

Type of contract: Permanent

• Location: Office-based, with the opportunity to work from home 1 – 2 days a week. ENN’s office is in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
• Holidays: 25 days plus UK Public Holidays, increasing by one day per annum after two complete years of service to a maximum of 27 days per annum. Pro-rata for part-time staff.
• Pension: Auto-Enrolment to ENN scheme with a generous Employer contribution of 5%
• Salary: £39,000 per annum, full-time equivalent, dependent on experience and suitability for the role

HALO has been working in Angola since 1994, and now employs over 1,400 staff (47% women) working in demining, explosive ordnance risk education, and conservation. There are over 70 different types of landmines in Angola from an estimated 41 years of minelaying during the war for independence and civil war which persisted from 1961 to 2002. The programme currently has twenty ongoing contracts from a diverse set of institutional, private, and corporate donors. As a signatory of the Ottawa Treaty, HALO supports the Government of Angola in reaching its treaty obligations. To date, HALO has cleared over 100,000 mines and made over 25km2 of land safe for use across the country.

About the role:

HALO is seeking a dynamic and solution-oriented Country Head to lead the strategic direction of the programme in accordance with HALO’s organisational mission and goals. The Country Head will lead a senior leadership team of six mid-level managers who work across mine action operational delivery, environmental project delivery, human resources, finance, strategy, support services and a Chief of Staff. They will work in partnership with the Regional Director, Deputy Regional Director, and other HQ functional leads. The Country Head will serve as the legal and primary HALO representative in Angola and be accountable for the programme’s staff and assets, the execution of donor projects and relations with local authorities and partners.

The Country Director is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the programme, including the design, review, and implementation of the programme’s strategy in accordance with HALO’s organisational objectives and charitable purpose. This includes establishing long-term strategic goals for the programme and developing the capacity and strength of the existing team. The Angola programme has projects spanning across two of HALO’s three strategic goals and is especially focused on the expansion of activities surrounding women’s empowerment and inclusivity, and the linkages between conflict, conservation and mine action. The successful candidate to this role will be a strategic thinker, who can demonstrate previous experience successfully building capacity to achieve strategic objectives.

The Angola programme currently has twenty ongoing contracts from a variety of governmental, private, and commercial donors with an annual turnover of circa $16 million. The Country Head will oversee and lead the two programmatic Heads responsible for execution and delivery donor projects: Head of Mine Action, and Head of Environment. The Country Head will ensure that the other senior managers provide the necessary support to the programmatic Heads to ensure they have the resources, capacity and support required to operate in an effective and compliant manner. The successful candidate will need to have exceptional liaison skills as they work closely with the Head of Strategy to maintain and foster critical stakeholder relationships in Angola, specifically with the Government of Angola as the programmes’ largest donor. The Country Head will also need exceptional organisational and financial acumen as they are accountable for the programme’s financial and legal compliance with internal and national policies and legislation.

The successful candidate will need to be an inspiring leader, capable of managing the large and diverse workforce with a focus on empowerment, communication, and professional development. The Country Director will be needed to work on improving processes and procedures with a desire to lead on implementing impactful systematic change. This role requires a candidate with strong coordination capabilities, and a commitment to lead by example to maintain high professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Requirements:

• Significant senior leadership experience within the INGO/ Humanitarian sector.
• Significant senior leadership experience of full cycle project management including design, implementation, evaluation, and accountability with a track record of achieving results.

The Project Coordinator has to assist in providing project coordination for the full life cycle of any assignment offered to our clients; from the proposal process, contract management with the client, assignment planning, through to assisting with the report writing, and ultimately billing the client.

Contract Responsibilities
