About the role:

The Digital Campaigns Officer role aims to increase the effectiveness of Friends of the Earth’s online actions to engage new supporters and mobilise activists. You will be responsible for putting together the majority of our online actions around the most important environmental justice issues at local, national and international level.

Located in the Campaign Activism team there is a strong emphasis on delivery, as well as proactive implementation of new ideas, creation of reports, and monitoring effectiveness.

Through testing, reporting and applying best practice, you will be helping create online actions that drive new supporters to Friends of the Earth and - ultimately - help us win our campaigns.

Working closely with the digital, marketing, and campaigns teams, you'll optimize our online actions for campaign success. This means making sure actions are supporter-centric, clearly communicating results, and flexibility in supporting your colleagues and channel owners.

About the team:

The Digital Campaigns Officer is part of the Campaign Activism team, which works to make sure that our campaigns work effectively with our activist network, our international network, and makes best use of our supporter base for campaigning. You’ll also be working with a wide range of teams and campaigns across the organisation, including the marketing and digital teams.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who has some understanding of online campaigning, can pick up digital tools quickly, and who is comfortable writing high-quality copy sometimes to tight deadlines. You’ll be working across a variety of different campaigns, so will need to be a well-organised communicator and pick up ideas quickly.

The role

As our Strategic Engagement Manager (Fundraising) you will have a core focus to secure new and additional funding streams from Trusts, Foundations and Multi-laterals, you’ll have the ability to put your initiative, organisational skills, and aspirational mindset to the test. You’ll be an experienced fundraising professional from within the non-profit/charity sector, but a sustainability sector background is not as important as the qualities we’re keenly looking for, which include:

• Experience of working within a charitable fundraising environment, working with philanthropic trusts, foundations, multi-lateral organisations and other funders.
• Evidence of successfully identifying, researching, and approaching potential funders, delivering compelling pitches and proposals, and securing income.

About the role

You will be at the forefront of establishing a centrally-located PMO to embed project excellence in a mission-driven environment, operating both strategically and hands on across the King’s Fund. We are looking for CARA Facilitators to co-deliver domestic abuse awareness raising group workshops to first time offenders of domestic abuse who have made a full admission and accept responsibility of their use of unhealthy behaviour.

CARA
CARA is an out of court resolution intervention. Following a police call out and release from custody, individuals meeting an eligibility criteria and identified as standard risk are issued a caution by Humberside police. The Caution includes a referral to CARA, consisting of two domestic abuse awareness raising group workshops designed by Hampton Trust and delivered by TLC: Talk, Listen, Change. The workshops are delivered one month apart to a closed group.

The role
In this role you will partner with another CARA Facilitator and be responsible for delivery of the two CARA workshops on Saturdays. There is no requirement to be available every Saturday, instead we are looking to recruit a pool of facilitators who will be scheduled to deliver CARA cohorts subject to their availability and proximity to the delivery venues. Delivery venues will include those close to public transport routes across Humberside. Facilitators will be required to commit to a minimum delivery of two cohorts (four workshops) per year. There will also be additional hours available to deliver CARA telephone intervention at flexible times across the week.

You will be required to attend core CARA Facilitator Training. Please ensure you are available to attend all the following training dates:  

TBC but expected either:

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (Online, 5.30 – 8.30pm) and Saturday and Sunday (In-person, 9am – 4.30pm) on either the week commencing:

27th October or 3rd November.

We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Team Lead to support the delivery of our CARA services across England.  

CARA

The role
The Domestic Abuse Team Lead will act as a lead professional for the CARA team, supporting the Domestic Abuse Service Manager with operational tsks, line management and oversee co-ordination and delivery. They will actively contribute to risk management procedures, assist with report writing, ensuring quality assurance and contribute to external stakeholder management.

The CARA Team consists of around 32 members of staff (sessional) across a range of areas, including:

- Greater Manchester

- Northumbria

- Humberside

You will be required to attend core CARA Training as part of the role and regularly work Saturdays, sometimes on-call for any enquiries or to attend/oversee cohort delivery.

Join Beacon to drive projects that place patients at the heart of translational research, shaping progress and improving outcomes with and for rare disease communities.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Beacon, now in its second decade of operation, has experienced substantial growth over the last three years, including an organisational rebrand and expansion into international projects. We are now recruiting a Senior Patient and Scientific Engagement Officer to play a central role in delivering ambitious projects that put patients at the heart of translational research.

This role sits at the crossroads of patient involvement and scientific communication, building meaningful collaborations between patients, researchers, and other stakeholders. You’ll provide essential operational support and subject expertise to ensure projects run smoothly and reflect the real-world needs of the rare disease community.

You will contribute primarily to two of Beacon’s major collaborative initiatives: REMEDi4ALL, a European-wide drug repurposing platform with over 25 partner organisations, and the LifeArc Translational Research Centres for Rare Disease (LifeArc TrC4RD), a UK-wide partnership. In this role, you will work directly and regularly with partners across these consortia, encompassing patient group leaders, patient representatives, academic researchers, clinical trialists, and beyond. You will act as a vital interface between patients and researchers in both projects, coordinating activities, facilitating collaboration, and embedding patient perspectives throughout the work. While these will be your main focus, you will also support other initiatives across the charity, particularly those aimed at advancing scientific understanding of rare diseases and strengthening patient involvement in research.

This is a varied position offering the chance to apply and further develop your expertise across areas such as patient and public involvement, scientific content development, training, and stakeholder engagement. We are looking for someone with a strong grasp of both the scientific and patient landscapes, who can balance attention to detail with big-picture awareness and work confidently in highly collaborative settings with multiple partner organisations. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible contribution to advancing rare disease research and ensuring patients’ voices drive progress across the UK and Europe.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will span aspects of project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and patient-centred scientific support. In this role, you will:

• Support the delivery of Beacon’s work within REMEDi4ALL and the LifeArc TrC4RD, collaborating directly with partners across these consortia to coordinate activities and ensure timely delivery of shared goals.
• Assist in the preparation of project materials, reports, and updates for consortium meetings and communications.
• Write, review, and refine accessible, patient-facing materials that explain complex scientific concepts and research projects clearly.
• Help design and deliver patient engagement strategies for major collaborative projects, ensuring patient perspectives are embedded throughout.
• Support and liaise with REMEDi4ALL Patient Champions and the LifeArc Patient Engagement Group, including coordinating mentorship, facilitating input into project teams, and managing communications.
•  Build and maintain strong working relationships with patient advocates, researchers, funders, and partner organisations, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of multi-stakeholder meetings, workshops, and webinars that bring together patients, researchers, and other partners to discuss research priorities and approaches.
• Support the creation and delivery of training materials, sessions, and talks for patient groups, researchers, and other stakeholders on topics such as patient and public involvement (PPIE) and rare disease research.
• Participate in project discussions to understand current patient engagement and provide input or signposting to improve engagement and support.
• Represent Beacon and its work at consortium meetings, external conferences, and events – both as a delegate and, where appropriate, as a speaker.
• Support other Beacon-led projects as required, particularly those focused on advancing patient knowledge, engagement, and scientific understanding.
• Provide hands-on support for the on-the-day delivery of Beacon events, training programmes, and other charity activities.

 PERSON SPECIFICATION

This is a mid-to-senior level role. Candidates should have professional experience in scientific engagement, patient involvement, or research coordination, and be ready to contribute confidently to collaborative consortium projects with external partners.

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to patient-centric approaches, who is willing to advocate for patients’ perspectives and priorities, while also navigating the need for compromise and collaboration across multiple organisations.

• Relevant professional experience (e.g., life sciences, medical communication, translational research, or patient engagement), ideally accompanied by a scientific qualification.
• Experience in patient and public involvement or patient engagement within research, ideally in health contexts.

About the Role

This is a key supporter-facing role where you will:

• Be the friendly first point of contact for members and prospective members via phone, email, and other channels.

• Maintain accurate supporter data, preferences, and interactions in Salesforce CRM.

• Support the Marketing and Communications team with occasional wider projects, such as campaigns, virtual or in-person events, or member engagement initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Compassionate and member-focused, with a genuine desire to make every interaction count.

• Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

• Confident and professional on the phone and in written communication.

• Comfortable with outbound calling — experience in telephone fundraising or supporter upgrade calling is desirable.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable with technology, ideally with some experience using CRMs (Salesforce experience is a bonus).

• Experienced in supporter care, customer service, or a similar role (desirable but not essential).

This is an exciting opportunity to join DARO as Donor Experience Manager, helping to shape and deliver outstanding donor journeys for multiple audiences. We are looking for someone to join our Safeguarding Team as a Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) on a 12-month fixed term contract as maternity cover.

The role of Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor is; 

• To manage allegations of abuse and provide support as appropriate
• To support victims and survivors of abuse 
• Progress cases to their full conclusion within the time frame stipulated by the Director of Safeguarding
• Support the triage of incoming safeguarding cases 
• Collate information regarding disclosures of abuse, allegations or concerns 
• Complete comprehensive risk assessments on individuals who pose a risk in the church context
• Prepare comprehensive safety plans for individuals who pose a risk in the church context
• Keep all case files up to date by accurately and consistently recording actions taken on cases using the Diocese case management system
• To actively liaise with relevant agencies, for example, police, probation services, and local authorities
• To ensure known offenders within (or returning to) the church community are appropriately managed and supported by the church

The successful candidate must;

Have extensive experience working in a safeguarding context: in a health, police, local authority or probation setting. There is flexibility in background, and we ask applicants to fully expand on this in their application when addressing their suitability for the role.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of front-line child protection intervention and/or risk assessment of adult perpetrators, and application of risk assessment.

The package includes a competitive salary, flexi-time scheme, reimbursement of travelling expenses, an 8% non-contributory pension with an additional 5% matched contributions, hybrid working (50%), and 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and four customary days a year (between Christmas and New Year).

We are seeking a Perinatal Outreach Coordinator to provide person-centred, individual and group support to perinatal women (pregnant women and birthing people of children less than 2 years old) within the London Borough of Greenwich. The role works directly with the Oxleas Perinatal Mental Health Team and is employed by South East London Mind.

You will be responsible for supporting women under the care of the Oxleas Perinatal Mental Health Team with moderate to severe mental health challenges who have been identified as requiring additional practical and social support. You will work one-to-one in the community to develop personalised plans focused on their recovery, providing support to help them get and remain well during the perinatal period.

You will develop, deliver and facilitate a programme of perinatal support groups and other activities that encourage women to access outreach support within the local community, develop social networks and reduce isolation as part of their recovery plan. Current activities include weekly play sessions, walking group, soft play, picnics and monthly outings.

Applicants should have a good understanding of mental health challenges in the perinatal period alongside experience of supporting families with multiple and diverse needs. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and highly organised is essential for this role.

Additional information:

• Applicants will be required to attend a weekly multi-disciplinary team meeting every Tuesday afternoon (based in Bexley DA2).
• Applicants must be able to travel and work within the London Borough of Greenwich and surrounding areas in effective manner, including conducting home visits and group activities in community venues.
