Job description

We are partnering with a grant-making charity that works at the forefront of addressing health inequalities. Through funding, influencing, and collaboration, they support community-led organisations and work to address the root causes of poor health, including poverty, discrimination, and structural injustice.

As a Digital Media and Communications Consultant, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how their story is told to the public, policymakers, corporate partners and third-sector organisations.  You’ll lead the development of a digital media and communications strategy, strengthen brand identity, and build a narrative that centres lived experience, research, and impact.

This role is pivotal to the organisation’s next chapter of influence, as it pushes health inequality further up the national agenda.

Key deliverables:

·        Lead strategy development: Create and deliver a communications and digital media strategy that grows visibility, influence, and trust

·        Elevate brand identity: Support work to refine the organisation’s voice, tone, and positioning.

·        Amplify lived experience: Translate grassroots impact and research into compelling, values-led content that moves audiences to think and act.

What you’ll bring:

·        A sharp strategic mindset and a track record of leading high-impact comms across digital, media, and public affairs

·        Proven experience creating content for diverse audiences, from policymakers and corporate partners to community leaders and supporters

·        A values-led approach to brand and messaging: credible, consistent, and inclusive

·        Confidence in analysing performance and aligning communications with organisational goals

This is a 3-month contract (3 days/week), hybrid with a London base, starting as soon as possible.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, purpose-driven team working to transform how health inequalities are understood and addressed across the UK.
