A Finance Officer opportunity has come up to work for a £7million turnover charity which is committed to improving social mobility in the UK. You will be joining a small and dynamic team working closely with the Finance Manager.
This is a permanent role and the client is open to the candidate working part time (32 hours) or full time (40 hours). You will be required to come in a minimum of two days a week. The salary offered based on experience is between £33,000 - £36,000 per annum (this salary will be pro-ratad for part time candidates).
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the Purchase Ledger including processing supplier invoices, staff expense claims, grant and bursary payments, reconciling statements and making the relevant payments
- Maintaining the Sales Ledger including raising invoices and allocating receipts
- Cash management including checking bank transactions daily, allocating transactions on the accounting system and producing regular bank reconciliations. Paying in cheques and reconciling floats, if required
- Maintaining accurate records of both unrestricted and restricted fund transactions including receipts, grants, staff expenses, overheads and cash
- Providing timely and accurate financial support to the Programmes, Development and Research teams to assist them with forecasting, budgeting, reconciliation and (donor) reporting
- Supporting with the month end procedures such as balance sheet reconciliations, depreciation, month end adjustments, salary and overhead allocations
- Gathering monthly payroll information and reviewing monthly payroll reports
- Assisting with the administration of the pension scheme and of employee benefits
- Preparing quarterly Gift Aid claims and maintaining the relevant supporting documentation
- Assisting with the year-end statutory accounts preparation, audit and budget setting process
- Ensuring that the filing is done in a timely manner and that all paperwork is up to date
- Proactively updating your own knowledge in relation to the role, identifying and undertaking appropriate training

The role
The Corporate and Individual Giving Manager is responsible for generating sustainable income by identifying, engaging with, and securing funding through individuals and corporate donor relationships.
Establishing sustainable fundraising streams is a top priority for the centre. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our strategy for Individual and Corporate Giving, with a keen focus on continuous growth. Key responsibilities include identifying and cultivating a pipeline of prospective donor relationships, as well as creating compelling corporate fundraising campaigns and providing personalised stewardship to both attract new supporters and nurture existing relationship.
This role will sit within the wider Income and Generation Team. There is a recognition that some aspects of this role might, at times, overlap with the remit of other team members (for instance, corporate foundations, corporate volunteering). There will also be an expectation that both the Head of Income Generation and Marketing and the CEO are actively involved in Income Generation from Individuals as well as Corporates, especially where High Net Worth (HNW) and more strategic partnerships are concerned. Purpose
Reporting to the CEO, the Fundraising Support Manager will support the Fundraising Manager in the fundraising efforts of Crustacean Compassion. This will be role building on two specific areas of work already undertaken, specifically reviewing, and supporting major donors’ proposals, and developing the supporter journey and engagement process.
The applicant will need to have an active knowledge and warm contacts with potential funders, be able to prepare and create proposals immediately as well as use CRM or external screening sources to identify and communicate with potential major donors. Responsibilities

General Duties
- Implement the execution of the fundraising strategy to lead income streams, delivering growth in restricted and unrestricted income whilst engaging supporter journeys to active givers.

Essential
- At least five years of experience working in fundraising, with a proven track record of securing five to six figure gifts ideally in the Animal Welfare field.
- Experience in developing non-profit fundraising strategies, particularly for Major Donors and in developing a supporter journey.

- Knowledge and understanding of fundraising, including research sources and funding criteria.

Role Summary

1. Major Gifts, Corporates and Foundations

Identify and prepare proposals for new revenue streams (think outside the box!), with an emphasis on the climate-food nexus. This includes potential HNWIs as well as large institutions, corporates and climate foundations.

Work closely with the Executive Director, and team members across the organisation to align fundraising efforts with strategic and programmatic priorities.

Coordinate with the communications and events team to develop engaging materials and events to support fundraising efforts.

Data Management and Reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fundraising activities, donor interactions, and financial contributions.

Prepare detailed reports on fundraising performance, donor engagement, and financial targets.

Maintain CRM systems to be up to date, and utilize systems to manage donor information and track fundraising metrics.

Ensure that the Institute complies with laws, regulations and best practice relating to fundraising including, but not limited to, those specified by the Fundraising Regulator in its Code of Conduct and GDPR.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in fundraising preferably within the non-profit sector.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and presentations.

JUSTICE is a human rights and law reform organisation based in the United Kingdom. This role is offered on a permanent basis paying a salary between £40,000 to £45,000 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their office in London.
This newly created role will be an integral part of the small but impactful Development Team currently comprised of a Trust and Foundation Fundraiser, an Engagement and Communications Officer and a Development Administrator. The post holder will play a pivotal role in developing and sustaining fundraising relationships, working closely with the Director of Development, Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. They will be responsible for developing their major donor and mid-level giving programme. The post holder will also assist with individual giving campaigns, payroll giving and in-memory giving.
They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in acquiring and developing five or six figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience of network and relationship mapping to build relationships with donors and secure donations. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to protecting human rights and building a fairer justice system within everyone’s reach.

The Digital Transformation Manager leads THET’s efforts to transform our own programmes of work and the way THET operates, and also that of the Health Partnership community to better incorporate and enable best practice in digital solutions. The Digital Transformation Manager will work with teams across the organisation to consider how in every aspect of THET’s work we can transform our use of technology to achieve greater efficiencies and effectiveness, improve inclusivity and equity, and whilst reducing our carbon footprint. Digital Transformation is a key enabler for the organisation to help advance access to health services in low-and-middle-income countries, via activities such as building online communities, online learning for health workforces in complex and humanitarian settings, e-health, amongst others. This role will require engagement across the different departments of THET including programmes, and research, evidence and learning, and external engagement, as well as engaging with external stakeholders to drive and raise visibility of this agenda.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy
• Lead the review and delivery of THET’s digital transformation strategy.
• Lead and implement THET’s digital enablers to support the organisation’s strategic plan.
Product management
• Develop and enhance the user experience of both external and internal stakeholders across key digital products including the THET website, Pulse platform, learning platforms and bespoke applications.
• Conduct user research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a long-term strategy across our digital portfolio.
Stakeholder and project management
• Provide guidance and capacity development to both THET staff and the Health Partnership community on digital implementations and best practice
• Ensure THET has accurate data and analytics to support operations and programmes across THET.
• Project manage key digital projects including scoping, testing, implementation, and review.
• Engage with external experts to promote and drive THET’s digital agenda across the global health sector.
• Lead and develop THET’s digital reporting mechanism to track the success of digital implementation across programmes.
• Lead a Digital Transformation Working Group to support digital transformation across THET and the wider HP community.
External representation and publicization
• Representation at key THET and external events raising visibility of digital working within health partnerships and across the health partnership community.
• Working with THET external engagement and research evidence and learning teams to deliver communisations and policy documents on digital transformation.
Fundraising and digital transformation project design
• Lead fundraising for digital transformation at THET, working closely with colleagues across the organisation.
• Support colleagues in integrating digital transformation across project proposals.
• Reporting back to donors to demonstrate the value of THET’s digital interventions.
Operations
• Manage third party providers including vendors and Managed Service Providers, ensuring compliance with SLA’s.
• Working with the Chief Operating Officer, ensure THET has adequate and appropriate IT infrastructure and cybersecurity processes in support with IT MSP
• Support the implementation of GDPR practices across THET in line with regulation and best practice.
Line Management
• Line manages the Digital Transformation Officer.
• Mentor and coach other team members as required
This job is remote with occassional travel to London and upto 4weeks per year international travel.

In this role you will have the opportunity to manage the design and delivery of scaling of innovation processes from identifying the most pressing humanitarian problems, analysing opportunities for scaling viable innovation, working with sector experts to investigate solutions and designing funding calls (scaling innovation challenges) to address them.
Your application will need to demonstrate:
- Experience in leading the design and delivery of work to drive innovation, including problem or opportunity identification and support for the development of solutions.
- Technical knowledge and experience of working in the area of scaling of innovation for impact, ideally in a humanitarian context.
- An understanding of project and/or grant management including procurement of service providers and management of consultancy contracts to support the HIF’s work.
- Excellent facilitation skills (both online and in person), particularly of interactive and accessible workshops, with the ability to bring new ideas to fruition.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and networks with diverse stakeholders, specifically within the field of scaling.

You will have a varied workload including correspondence, meticulous diary management, planning for and issuing invitations to events, following up on arrangements and assisting at fundraising events.
