Finance Manager

 £23.07 – £24.73 per hour

Are you a finance professional looking to make an impact in a purpose-led organisation? We’re working with an inspiring charity that is seeking an Interim Finance Manager to support them through a busy and important transition period.

This is a freelance, short-term opportunity suited to someone with strong charity finance experience, who can hit the ground running and provide immediate value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts

• Monitor and report on income and expenditure, ensuring accuracy and accountability

• Manage restricted and unrestricted funds in line with funder requirements

• Maintain accurate records using Sage accounting software (essential)

• Oversee and liaise with outsourced bookkeeping and payroll providers

• Prepare clear and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

• Support funding applications with accurate financial data and analysis

• Ensure full compliance with charity finance regulations, including Gift Aid

• Manage year-end accounts and assist with audit preparation

About You – Essential Criteria:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience

• Demonstrated experience in charity finance, including restricted funds

• Confident managing income and expenditure reporting

• Proficient in Sage – this is a must

• Detail-oriented, with strong reporting and analytical skills

• Able to work independently and manage external financial providers
