Job description

Join a well-established charity team in London and play a key role in growing and nurturing individual donor support. This is a fixed-term opportunity where you’ll immediately contribute to live campaigns, with the potential to move into a longer-term role. You’ll use your marketing skills to strengthen donor relationships and drive income through targeted individual giving activity.

About the Role:
You will support the planning, delivery, and optimisation of individual giving campaigns across direct mail, email, and digital channels over an initial 3-month contract, with possible temp-to-perm employment. Working closely with fundraising and data teams, you’ll help ensure campaigns are insight-led, donor-focused, and aligned to income targets. Your work will directly impact donor retention, acquisition, and overall supporter engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver individual giving campaigns across mail, email, and digital channels to agreed timelines and budgets.
* Create and adapt compelling copy and content for fundraising appeals, newsletters, and supporter journeys.
* Coordinate campaign production, including briefing designers, liaising with external suppliers, and managing approvals.
* Set up and schedule email and digital campaigns, ensuring accurate segmentation and personalisation.
* Monitor campaign performance using data and analytics tools, producing clear reports and recommendations.
* Support donor stewardship activity, including tailored communications to improve retention and lifetime value.
* Maintain accurate campaign records and supporter information in relevant databases and tracking tools.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with wider fundraising activity.

Key Requirements:
* Experience in individual giving or direct marketing within a charity or similar fundraising environment.
* Proven track record in planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns (mail, email, digital) to drive response and income.
* Strong copywriting and content creation skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
* Confident using data to segment audiences, inform campaign decisions, and interpret results.
* Proficiency with email marketing platforms and basic digital marketing tools.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in campaign setup, testing, and reporting.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a small team and communicate clearly with stakeholders and suppliers.

Desirable Skills:
* Experience in donor relationship management and supporter journeys within a fundraising context.
* Familiarity with CRM or fundraising databases for managing supporter data and campaign selections.
* Understanding of A/B testing and optimisation techniques for direct marketing campaigns.
* Knowledge of charity fundraising regulations and best practice in donor communications.
* Experience producing insight-driven campaign dashboards or visual reports.

Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, or a related discipline.
* Professional qualification in marketing (e.g. CIM or similar) is desirable but not essential.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development in digital or direct marketing is advantageous.

If you’re ready to make an immediate impact in individual giving and keen on a 3-month contract with potential to go temp-to-perm, we’d like to hear from you.
