IT Operations Manager

I am excited to be working with an amazing human rights organisation in search of an Interim IT Operations Manager for 3 – 4 months. This is a full-time, London based hybrid role. As IT Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the IT Support Desk, directly managing support desk staff and providing leadership to the Technical Architect. The role requires a strategic mindset, as well as a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day IT operations in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Main duties:

Develop and maintain the IT infrastructure used throughout the organisation’s hybrid working platforms, central and regional offices, and retail outlets

Ensure an excellent and consistent level of service is provided to all users of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including request fulfilment, incident management and issues resolution

Oversee the organisation's cyber security, ensuring a comprehensive and proactive approach to safeguarding sensitive information, systems, and networks

Supervise and coordinate IT support desk activities, ensuring timely issue resolution and excellent user support in line with agreed service level agreements and key performance indicators

Manage and respond to IT incidents promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations

Provide guidance to the Technical Architect in maintaining the IT infrastructure, fostering innovation and implementation of best practice

Ensure our systems and networks have an appropriate focus on risk management, compliance, and incident response

Manage resources effectively to optimise IT operations including having a hands-on approach to resolving issues directly where needed

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within IT operations

Provide IT expertise to support project success across a range of departmental and organisational projects, in line with the organisation’s overall digital and technology strategy
