A fantastic children’s charity are looking for a Residential Support Worker based in Gloucestershire.
As Residential Support Worker you will work with a team of staff in supporting a young person with their day-to-day personal needs. You will help to maintain a safe and fun environment for both staff and the young person within the home and whilst out and about in the community.
You will be based at a Forever home in a beautiful setting in Gloucestershire; the home is for a young person with complex needs and a high level of challenging behaviour with a care ratio of 4:1.
Key Responsibilities Include providing lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing, and managing risk and co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided. You must be resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge, with a ‘can do' attitude.
This is a career pathway position, which enables postholders to progress their career by taking on additional responsibilities, with an increase to pay (consistent with our pay progression scheme-available separately).

As a Team Leader you will work with the Senior team in the day to day running of the home as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that the young person is in the safe supportive environment required to nurture their needs.
You will be based at a Forever home in a beautiful setting in Gloucestershire; the home is for a young person with complex needs and a high level of challenging behaviour with a care ratio of 4:1.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading shifts and supervising staff
- Link working with young people (managing paperwork and files).
- Developing care plans and identifying agreed outcomes.
- Responsible for the safeguarding of young people.
- Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with children or young people with complex needs within a residential setting, with a Level 3 QCF Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or the willingness to undertake the level 3 qualification. You will have an understanding of attachment theory and impact of adverse childhood experiences on the development and behaviour of children and young people and will have a positive and confident approach to engaging with children and young people.
Development and Career Progression:
- Work towards gaining your Level 5 Diploma, fully funded, and supported by the charity
- Clear pathways for progression into roles such as Service Co-ordinator, Home Manager or Area Manager

A fantastic children’s charity are looking for a Children's Service Coordinator based in Gloucestershire.
Salary: up to £37,300 dependent on experience and qualifications.
As Children’s Service Coordinator you will provide support to the Registered Manager to help launch and run a newly established team, in a brand-new solo home in Gloucestershire.
You would be based in a solo placement home in a beautiful setting in Gloucestershire, the home is for a young person with complex needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and leading a team of professional social care staff.
- You may be required to step up as deputy to the Registered Manager
- Creating a strong and high achieving team.
- Liaising with our key Stakeholders within and outside Action for Children.
- Supporting the Registered Manager in data collection and analysis.
The successful candidate will be passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives and ideally will have previously worked as Deputy Manager (preferred but not essential). You must have experience of supervising and supporting a staff team and hold a qualification relevant to the work or extensive experience and ongoing professional development. Knowledge and experience of quality assurance approach to children's services is also vital, as well as experience of analysing data and management information to support continual service improvement and development.

Harris Hill is looking for an interim Fundraising Assistant to support a national charity for 2 to 3 months on remote of hybrid basis, starting May 2024.
The role is full time but could be 30 hours per week. You can work remotely outside of London or hybrid inside London, supporting their mass participation team.
Key tasks and duties
Communicate with supporters on the telephone, offer tips for their fundraising, get to know them and build rapport.
Update records on our fundraising database.
Place orders for fundraising materials.
Respond to supporter queries via email and social media.
Any other duties that are within the scope and remit of the role and as agreed with your manager.
Ideally, you would have previous experience of working in a fundraising team, supporter care, or similar, happy to work predominantly on the phone, liaising with supporters.
