We are recruiting for a qualified accountant with a calm and professional approach to lead on the financial management and governance of Energise Me.

About You

You’ll need to be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW) with experience of working at a senior level.

You’ll have significant financial management and financial administration experience with proven track record of achievement.

You’ll have experience of administrating and managing payroll.

Charity Accounting experience is desirable.

You’ll be an effective and adaptable communicator, from working with our small team on a one-to-one basis, to providing comprehensive guidance and reports to our Board.

The Role

You’ll be part of Energise Me’s senior leadership team, and lead on the financial management and governance of the charity.

• Plan and co-ordinate annual audit and prepare Energise Me’s annual accounts. Manage external auditors and be the main point of contact for Auditors. Ensure accounts are filed with the Charity Commission on time and lead audit tender process at least every three years
• Manage relationships with external financial providers including banking and investment
• Manage outsourced payroll and ensure charity employees are paid accurately and on time
• Manage Energise Me’s financial and accounting functions and related policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations and procedures (Charity Commission guidelines, HMRC and financial regulations)
• Make sure budgets are managed effectively and in line with overall target/costs
• Exercise strong financial and budget monitoring including preparing quarterly management accounts including balance sheet and SOFA
• Responsible for Financial IT Systems, ensuring they’re fit for purpose and data is accurate and up to date
• Lead, empower, support, develop, coach and mentor the Finance & IT Manager and other team members as required across the organisation

This role is part of an ambitious national initiative called the Accelerating Reform Fund (ARF), funded by the Department for Health and Social Care to support innovation and positive change in adult social care. Greater Manchester’s ARF programme brings together all 10 local authorities, the NHS, Voluntary sector organisations, carers, and people with lived experience to improve care for adults.

As part of the evaluation of this programme, we are recruiting Peer Researchers to gather real-life stories from people across Greater Manchester about their experiences with care and support services. These stories will help improve how services are designed and delivered, particularly in two areas:

• Improving the identification and support for unpaid carers throughout the hospital discharge process;

• Shared Lives respite options for unpaid carers, including day support.

This role will be part of a small team of Peer Researchers, all of whom bring valuable insight from their own experiences and will work closely with the Lived Experience Coordinator to gather and reflect the diverse voices and stories of people across Greater Manchester.
 

Role Purpose

As a Peer Researcher, your role is to listen, capture, learn, and share. You will use your lived experience and connection to your community to gather stories from others, especially those who may feel overlooked or unheard.

You don’t need formal qualifications or previous experience in research as you’ll receive full training – you just need a genuine interest in people, the ability to listen, and a commitment to positive change.

By helping us understand what care and support really feels like on the ground, you’ll directly contribute to evaluating how well the ARF projects are meeting people’s needs – and what should be done differently going forward.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a community research project by gathering people’s real experiences of care and support across Greater Manchester through one-to-one conversations, interviews, or group storytelling sessions.

• Record stories using approaches such as note taking, Dictaphone or video within an ethical and trauma-informed framework.

• Attend training and team meetings to build skills in community research, consent, safeguarding, and storytelling.

• Work collaboratively with the Lived Experience Coordinator and other Peer Researchers to curate the stories, reflect on emerging themes and contribute to the overall evaluation of the ARF programme.

• Help develop and share research findings in meaningful ways – such as reports, events, or creative formats – to influence local decision-making and service improvement.
 

Other details

This is a sessional (casual) role, which means you are not employed on a fixed contract or guaranteed number of hours, nor are you entitled to sick pay or other employee related benefits. Instead, we will agree with you an approximate number of hours and tasks based on your availability, personal circumstances and the needs of the project. You will be responsible for declaring this income for the purposes of tax/national insurance or benefits and we will ask you to sign a declaration to this effect (as well as signposting you to where you can seek independent advice on this).

HR Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for the HR Administration requirements for Centre 33, including recruitment, training coordination and maintenance of the HR database. As well as supporting the HR Senior Officer with the day to day running of the HR Service.

You will act as the first point of contact for all recruitment and HR related queries from employees and volunteers. You will represent Centre 33 in your communications and be an approachable and open individual with great attention to detail conforming to employment law and internal polices. Ideally you will have experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Role description and core responsibilities 

The Office and IT Assistant plays a key role in the Foundation supporting a busy office, as well as providing hands on support to IT function.

This role goes beyond simply checking off tasks - It is about being confident, approachable, and unafraid to speak up when needed (yes, even with a lighthearted “Hey! Who left their mug in the sink?”).

Office Administration

· Act as first point of contact for general operational enquiries

· Manage post, deliveries and couriers for the Foundation

· Responsible for ensuring office supplies are maintained and ordered as required

· Responsible for reporting and following up with all office faults/issues to the Facilities Management Helpdesk

IT Support

· Liaise with outsourced IT Support for devices setup for new and existing users

· Support the Business and Governance Manager with any other IT management as required

· Support Salesforce CRM Administrator with basic Salesforce administrative tasks

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

About the Service

The Bexley SASS team provides advocacy and support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse living in Bexley. An exciting opportunity has arisen in this busy team for a Young Persons Independent Domestic Violence Adviser. You will support 16 to 25 year olds with crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced advocate to join our dynamic team in Bexley, working with survivors who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work. In this role you will work as part of the Bexley Solace Advocacy and Support Service (SASS), providing support to young survivors of domestic abuse in the borough. In addition to this, you will work in partnership with Children Social Care, Education, Health and Mental Health to ensure effective support for survivors coming through these services.

About You

You will need a thorough understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support and strong casework management skills.

You will have the skills to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out the children’s risk assessment where appropriate, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning. You should have demonstrable experience of working in an IDVA or similar position with this or a similar client group.

You will be highly organised, self-motivated, and passionate about ending gender-based violence. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role, as necessary.

The Operations Administrator will work closely with the broader Operations team to provide centralised communication and administrative support, and effective coordination across all aspects of the work of the Operations team.

As this role is central to the work of the Operations team, the person will need to be proactive, organised, and able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. As well as being the key link between the Operations team and the Research and Communication teams, they will need to be able to work well with the wider organisation and provide excellent customer service to a variety of stakeholders globally. A key focus of the role will be to ensure data accuracy across a variety of platforms, drafting and coordinating centralised communications with Operators, and support reporting on the activities of the Operations team. The successful candidate will not only have strong administrative skills and experience but will also have strong experience within communications and/or research.

Key responsibilities:

Communications:

• Coordinate central communications for all Operators including production of newsletters, sharing Award Community updates and annual reminders.
• In conjunction with the relevant Senior Manager, plan and deliver the annual communications calendar for each Operator.
• Being the key link between the Operations and Communications teams.

Centralised administration:

• Alongside colleagues, provide administrative services to the Operations team responsible for the management of all Operators.
• Maintain and report on the Annual Operations Calendar.
• Coordinate Operations team meetings.

Data/reporting:

• Ensure data accuracy across various platforms, including but not limited to Salesforce, our website, and the Award Community (our online learning platform).

Licensing & quality:

• Fulfil the role of lead reviewer on licence reviews for all Operators.
• Support the Licensing team with coordination of licence reviews for all operators.

• Support coordination of the Operator Annual Reporting process.
• Manage the coordination of the external activity provider processes and ensure the published list is accurate and up to date.

• Support Operations Managers to process Award authorisations for IACs.
• Support the administration of Operator events including centralised coordination activities such as setting up virtual meetings, producing event calendars etc.
• Research new prospect Operating Partners.
• Support with the coordination of the three funds grants.
• Support the administration of training events including processing applications, updating dashboards and releasing certificates.
