THE ROLE 

 Due to the retirement of a long-standing executive team member, this newly repurposed Executive Leadership role has a clear focus on our long-term financial sustainability and mission impact. As Executive Director of Fundraising Development, you will lead our strategic partnerships, philanthropy, and major income generation programmes. 

 You’ll be responsible for inspiring significant financial support through trusts, major donors, corporates, legacies, and philanthropic networks. Working closely with the CEO and fellow Executive Directors, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering our Strategy to 2030 - ensuring we have the income, influence, and innovation to match our ambition.

What you’ll do

You will lead the Postgraduate Certificate (Pg Cert) in Leadership for CYP Mental Health Services, ensuring its successful design, delivery and development. You will manage the curriculum in line with NHS England’s Leadership National Curriculum and UCL’s academic standards, oversee teaching and assessment, and ensure the programme remains financially and academically viable. The purpose is to equip managers and service leads in CYP Mental Health Services with the skills, knowledge and reflective leadership capacity needed to drive service transformation and improve outcomes for children, young people and families.

What you’ll bring

Essential requirements:

• Qualifications: PhD/professional doctorate in field of child mental health or a recognised qualification in a core child mental health profession (e.g. psychology, social work, educational psychology).
• Experience: leadership/management experience in CYP Mental Health Services, and experience in curriculum design, teaching, assessment and programme organisation in Higher Education;
• Knowledge: understanding of the national CYP IAPT programme and challenges/opportunities in child and young people’s mental health services;
• Skills: effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills,  ability to work flexibly and collaboratively and capable of managing budgets and ensuring programme financial viability.
• Commitment: dedication to high standards in teaching and assessment, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, and demonstrating values of equity, diversity and inclusion.

Key details

Hours: Part time: 7 hours per week. Monday to Friday to be agreed and discussed with manager. Must be available to work on the 12 days during the year that the course runs (currently on Tuesdays).

As a charity dedicated to helping people in Edinburgh enjoy healthier, happier, and more active lives, Edinburgh Leisure is seeking an exceptional fundraiser to join the Funding Team.

You might not have realised Edinburgh Leisure is a charity, and in addition to providing citywide sports and leisure services and looking after 30,000 members annually, we support over 14,700 people though provision of 18 different wellbeing projects and services, supported by 187 volunteers! 

These wellbeing projects are part of our Active Communities programme dedicated to supporting people who face barriers to being active. This includes people experiencing poverty, disabilities, health conditions and other inequalities.

As our Trusts & Statutory Fundraiser, you will play an important role in securing the future of our Active Communities projects and supporting people who would not be able to access our services otherwise.  It costs around £1.5 million to deliver the programme each year, over half of which comes from statutory funding.

Whilst our funding strategy looks to diversify income through further developing a range of income streams including events and individual giving, our Trusts & Statutory Fundraiser will be crucial in continuing to secure trust and grant income through private trusts, lottery and corporate foundations, as well as supporting existing and new statutory contracts.

About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to join our service team at Luton. Based at our Wellbeing Centre in Dumfries Street we offer activities and groups throughout the day enabling service users to manage their mental health and move through their recovery journeys. In addition to facilitating a range of groups the role will involve assessing individual’s suitability for the service and signposting to local services and community support where necessary, as well as performing 1-1 meetings with clients periodically in order to assess and create action plans.

The role includes the opportunity to support events in the community to raise awareness of our services and build links with local organisations, as well as supporting volunteer and student placements.

Service Delivery

• Deliver a service and ensure outcomes which support individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs in Luton, in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed recovery model as well as contract requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Carry out assessments on individuals’ suitability for Mind BLMK’s services in line with the Access to Service procedure and processes and the needs, priorities and support required by the individual.
• Facilitate onsite activity, drop-in and topic based group sessions. This may include planning of topics that support wellbeing, facilitating informal drop in and discussions, planning and organising activity based sessions including guest speakers and signposting and information sharing about other local services and resources.
• Encourage and support client engagement with Mind BLMK through Guarantor Membership and other opportunities available through Influence and Participation.

As part of our growth plan, we are delighted to be hiring our first Communications and Advocacy Lead. Working on our external communications strategy to build authority and be the go-to voice for younger adults (aged 20 to 49 years) living with cancer, this person will be responsible for managing all external communications. In addition, will work closely with the rest of the Shine team to ensure consistent external messaging.

Key Responsibilities

These include:

● Develop implementation plans to support Shine’s communications strategy to build authority in the cancer support space.

● Responsible for developing the Shine narrative, brand voice, and talking points to support external stories and campaigns, and to co-create fundraising messages with the Fundraising Manager and Fundraising Consultant.

● Responsible for all external communications with media including national and regional outlets, print and broadcast, digital channels and titles read by healthcare professionals.

● Supervision of the social media output from Shine, ensuring consistency with the overall communications plan. 

●       Ability to represent Shine at external stakeholder meetings.

●    Working closely with the Shine team to raise Shine’s profile through advocacy activities in the cancer community and healthcare professionals.

● Work with Shine co-CEOs to develop their external profiles through thought-leadership, speaker and advocacy platforms.

Person Specification

Essential skills:

● Ability to develop multi-channel communications plans, using social, digital and traditional media platforms

● Knowledge of UK health media including health correspondents and reporters for national news outlets (print & TV and radio)

● A good eye for design, with the ability to manage, develop and implement brand guidelines

● Experience of working with media databases and press release distribution services

● Excellent writing skills and experience of writing materials for media

● Ability to create media angles and stories from data and third-party content

● Identify platforms for Shine thought-leadership, particularly for the co-CEOs

● Strong skills in using online technology platforms including Google workspace, Canva, YouTube and MS Office.

Desirable skills:

Key Responsibilities

• Build and grow relationships with schools, colleges, youth clubs and local communities

A few practical things:

Plumstead Community Law Centre is a free specialist legal advice charity located in central Woolwich in South East London. We provide specialist legal advice and advocacy in the areas of immigration, welfare benefits and employment People can access our services via telephone or email, and through the Advice Hub outreach services we attend in local community centres. In 2024 over 1,400 local people accessed our advice and representation services, resulting in a range of financial and non-financial benefits.

Towards the end of 2024, we moved away from a collective model towards a functional management structure. We appointed an Interim CEO from the staff group and expanded our trustee board's size and expertise.

This Managing Director and Senior Solicitor role involves assuming the charity’s management from our interim CEO, who has established strong systems and secured new funding for the further strengthening of the charity. Our strategic plan includes improving our legal practice management with a view to obtaining a quality mark and securing an immigration legal aid contract. We anticipate securing further funding to expand our services, to support more people in need in our community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced solicitor who has a track record in supervision and management. Although the job description is wide ranging, support will be given through further recruitment of administrative support.

Our partner is seeking a consultant to conduct a review of its finance function, including structure, processes and systems with a view of improving effectiveness and efficiency. This exercise stems from the fact that the finance function of the organisation has developed organically over the course of the organisation’s life and growth, covering the expansion of programmes and the opening of new administrative offices.

Scope of the Review

• Review of the current structure - assess what functions are best delivered in each location, the skillset of finance staff and what capacity is needed in each location to deliver these services.
• Review of the processes and systems; and make recommendations on how processes might be streamlined to address bottlenecks and streamline these.
• Advise on how the finance function might operate more effectively as a global function
• Advise on what IT/systems solutions might further improve efficiency

Requirements

• A qualified senior finance professional with experience of change management within an international not for profit, specifically reviewing the structure of the finance function, undertaking in-depth review and analysis of global processes and systems.
• Experience of working in a complex grant-funded environment with knowledge of full grants cycle management.
• Strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills.

This is a new senior leadership role created through Inclusion North’s restructure. It is central to how we rebuild our strategic presence in Yorkshire and Humber while ensuring strong, joined-up working across the Northeast.

You will lead high-level engagement across both regions, with a particular focus on Yorkshire and Humber. In this region, you will help Inclusion North reconnect, build strategic partnerships, and become a visible and valued voice in system-level spaces.

You will take a lead in representing Inclusion North across a range of regional spaces, including Communities of Practice, local authority-led forums, and, where appropriate, ICB-related groups. This means helping shape change, influence commissioning, and ensure that the voices of people with a learning disability, autistic people, and family carers are heard where decisions are made. You will also be expected to challenge constructively when systems fall short of inclusion, equity, or lived experience leadership.

You will line manage the Innovation and Impact Manager and the Good Life Collaborative Programme Lead. This includes overseeing how our delivery connects to system priorities, responds to emerging opportunities, and contributes to our financial sustainability. You will also provide strategic insight to support planning, funding, and future direction.

This is a leadership role for someone who can build trust, speak with credibility, and stand firm in their values. You will need the insight to understand how systems work, and the confidence to push for change when they do not work for the people they are meant to serve.

The Cross-regional Strategic Lead holds senior responsibility for regional engagement, system influence, and delivery oversight at a strategic level.

The role is anchored in Yorkshire and Humber, where you will need to be well-connected and regularly present. You will also work across the Northeast as part of a joined-up, cross-regional team.
